While the atmosphere and speed of service is a bit casual, the food is natural (my wife had no problems ordering things from the menu and she has a lot of allergies), tasty, healthy and the portions were a good size. The owners are wonderfully friendly - in fact all of us in this small cafe ended up having a conversation with the owner and his wife and the other patrons. What we thought would be a good breakfast, turned into a wonderful experience. We will be back.

I decided to stop by Woodrack cafe for an iced tea to quench my thirst. Service was very fast in getting me my drink of choice, an iced cucumber lime mint green tea. It was nice and refreshing. I really also liked the inside of the shop as it seems very cozy inside! Next time I definitely want to come to try their coffee. :)

Ultimately, I would have to saying works better as a bagel. The soup of the day was great. And they understand a soup and sandwich lunch. We also ordered the Crepe with Whipped cream - in the menu it says the bananas come with chocolate sauce but they were so nice when our kids asked for strawberries and chocolate sauce right away they said no problem and did it for us. I love the no hassle feeling with a small change. We also ordered a side of bangers and they were tasty but a little peppery for the kids (who are just fussy about their sausage but everyone else enjoyed them). The Gravlax Benedict was also ordered and super well enjoyed with the substitution for Latkes, highly recommended! It read the Cohen Corner Cafe and I immediately hung a right into the Strathearn strip mall to check this place out. First, let me just say this is probably the tiniest sit down cafe in the city. If I remember correctly there were about 4 tables? When you walk in you get this uneasy feeling like you are walking into a strangers living room, but that is totally the idea. The walls are lined with used books- all for sale and not in any particular order. I genuinely feel like a place like this is is straight out of a Harry Potter book and could have easily been one of the magical shops in Hogsmeade. It's cluttered, but an organized cluttered that just adds to the atmosphere. The name of the cafe comes as a tribute to great Canadian singer/songwriter Leonard Cohen- how great is that!? Based on first impressions this place is great. I actually left without trying any of the food or coffee because at the time the owner, Edin, was out of to-go cups. So I am leaving a star off only because I am not sure how it all tastes and I don't want to leave a misleading review. Once I stop in again though, I will be sure to update! And I look forward to reading what everyone else has to say about it.

For me, the bulgogi could've been more flavorful and it didn't taste fresh but I liked the overall dish. Lastly, the Peppermint Mocha was alright. It wasn't spectacular. And I felt the same way about my Lavender London Fog with oat milk. I wish there was more depth in my drink. I think the tea could've been steeped a little longer. Flavor was there in my drink, but it wasn't strong enough. It was slightly disappointing since I've had amazing London Fogs before, and this one just wasn't up to par. Also my drink was slightly warm, not too far off from lukewarm. I feel like the price doesn't exactly correlate with quality for most things here. If we come back here, I'd be willing to try different things and pastries. But I don't think my rating would change much.

Now there was just one type of a breakfast sandwich and one type of a dessert square. I think that there were some cookies too. The breakfast sandwich is small but so is the price. It was fine but not like the Dirtbag used to offer. I had drip coffee which was also fine. Unchanged is that the building is shared with the rock climbing place called Boulder. Now this is important, you can park where the signs say Boulder (climbing or rock wall?) because they are the same owners. Just make sure that you register your license plate. One other thing that is unchanged is the varied and comfortable seating. If you need a place to work with your laptop, this is a good choice. If you looking for lunch, look elsewhere. We arrived on Wednesday at a few minutes before noon so they don't seem to be catering to the lunch crowd.
