Now there was just one type of a breakfast sandwich and one type of a dessert square. I think that there were some cookies too. The breakfast sandwich is small but so is the price. It was fine but not like the Dirtbag used to offer. I had drip coffee which was also fine. Unchanged is that the building is shared with the rock climbing place called Boulder. Now this is important, you can park where the signs say Boulder (climbing or rock wall?) because they are the same owners. Just make sure that you register your license plate. One other thing that is unchanged is the varied and comfortable seating. If you need a place to work with your laptop, this is a good choice. If you looking for lunch, look elsewhere. We arrived on Wednesday at a few minutes before noon so they don't seem to be catering to the lunch crowd.

I decided to stop by Woodrack cafe for an iced tea to quench my thirst. Service was very fast in getting me my drink of choice, an iced cucumber lime mint green tea. It was nice and refreshing. Each drink is made to order with options ranging from your standard americano to lattes featuring in-house made syrups. In addition to coffee, they also have some baked treats sourced from Arno's. Arno's is another local favourite of mine and it's dangerously delicious to have these baked treats available downtown when I could usually only get them at the farmer's market. The brass fixtures and steampunk-esque aesthetic go well with the fresh smell of their uniquely roasted beans. The cafe is in the lobby of an office building so it's not a super intimate venue but I definitely appreciate the thoughtful decoration they've added to the coffee stand. They describe themselves as a temporary (stop gap) means to filling a need - coffee - served with an intentional and caring heart. Caleb Kam, the owner, is warm and inviting. He definitely knows his coffee. You may know him from his former life at Brown Butter Cafe. Caleb focuses on Canadian, fresh, and local! I spotted Ace and Candid today (Edmonton gems). The clientele were sweet and happy to offer up their faves! Nathan, a regular, told me Caleb is the go to for the best pour over in town. I opted for a Dirty Chai - made to perfection and my friend had a oat milk chai complete with milk art adorning the top. Both beverages were perfection. Coffee can be consumed in house complete with adorable coasters (el gato was my fave naturally, meow) or taken to go. For seating, there is a cute bench against the window front and a side room available if not booked. Caleb also had fresh donuts from Fuzion in Chinatown. My friend and I shared the cake and Cinnamon bun donut today. Sooo ridiculously good. Be sure to check Fuzion out online - they don't have a storefront so you will need to order in advance if you are looking to up your donut game at your next office meeting. I seriously can't wait to come back here again! Oh and they also have a beautiful meeting space available for rent on the main floor in case you want to bring your next staff meeting to the best coffee in town!
