So, the owners switched hands (again) and it is under new management. My husband and I went there because now they are advertising Latino/Columbian food and we were intrigued. The décor is not much to look at. Uncomfortable tables and chairs, nowhere to linger after having a coffee. If this restaurant does well, I would suggest that this would be the first thing that they change. Service was really slow....especially just to get our menus. I hate buying in to the fact that "Latino service is slow". I wish there was an establishment that would prove me wrong, but it seems to be a thing. Don't come here if you are in a rush. However our food was excellent. We ordered a number of things and they were all reasonably priced and delicious - Cheese Empanada, Flautas, Mexican beef tacos, Empanadas Colombian, Patocon Pisao, Mexianos Tacos with beef. My husband and I were hungry (skipped breakfast) but we only didn't finish the cheese empanada. All things were good. If you want something interesting and unusual go with the Empanadas Colombian and the Patocan Pisao. My friend and I stumbled upon this new business yesterday on our walk. 'New' as in 2 days old! We were glad that we stopped in. The owner was very friendly and explained the menu to us. She said that she is still figuring things out for the menu and depending on what is popular, they will adjust accordingly. Jasmine Belle Café is a French and Vietnamese infused café. They serve all of your typical coffee drinks including Vietnamese coffee, bubble tea and smoothies. To eat, they offer a variety of fresh baked goods such as muffins, croissants, cookies and macaroons. They have a light lunch menu that serves pho, vermicelli or rice bowls, Vietnamese subs and they offer a breakfast menu that serves french toast, eggs, hash browns and a breakfast sandwich. It is an interesting menu with the combination of dishes and seemed a little all over the place. We ordered latés and their fresh baked croissants. Both were absolutely delicious! The latés were steamed perfectly - the coffee had great flavour and the milk wasn't too sweet. The croissants were light and flaky and the chocolate drizzle on the plate was a nice added touch to dip them in. The facility itself is open and has lots of natural light with the nice big windows surrounding the space. Everything was clean and simple yet homey. The place is still very new and needs some time to straighten out the kinks but it has potential. I will have to come back here for their breakfast or their pho and definitely the Vietnamese coffee. read more

Alberta avenue needs more like this. Nice, not fancy sit down Columbian restaurant. Service was good. Three beef tacos $13. Made in house soft corn taco shell, roast beef (not ground), cilantro, onion, tomato. Red and green salsa on the side that were not spicy but very flavourful. Delicious. Arepa von todo (loaded) $9(!). Larger taco shell, roast beef, chorizo, cilantro, lettuce, tomato. Mayo and ketchup sauce (meh). Ask for some hot sauce. Also delicious. Coffee was not special but not bad. We'll be back to try other menu items. read more

Super cute little café where you can totally go and spend an entire Sunday morning playing board games. Service was friendly and personable. Bathroom was immaculately clean. food is delicious made in house from scratch with a culture of consistent improvement. Highly recommended. read more

According to my friend their burger is pretty good. I ordered food and the restaurant cancelled my order 20 minutes later after waiting without even calling me. We had just called them and they said they were out of soup at 430pm. Usually I do not rate a place on service unless really bad and even then don't ding that bad, I rate on if the food is good or not. Regardless will not go out of my way to try again. read more

The whimsical decor is definitely appealing and cute. This cafe definitely catches your attention. However, the prices are ridiculous for what you are getting. First of all, this place does not do their own baking, which could justify paying a higher price. I understand that many places do have their baking brought in, but the fact that their cookies, muffins, bagels, etc. are clearly from Costco makes it not cool. Second, their coffee drinks start at $4.50 for a regular size. Definitely steep, considering we didn't like the coffee, not to mention my London Fog cost $5.50 and was not made properly. Third, I am not paying $8 for 10 chicken dumplings that probably came from Costco's frozen section, as delicious as they are. The only thing they might have going for them is the bit of Vietnamese cuisine that they do offer, which I'm guessing is house made, not that I tried. This may be what they should stick with specializing in. My overall feeling is a place that is clearly trying to be as cheap as possible and maximize their profits without offering very much in return. With the many cafes out there, like Handy Bakery just next door, or of course Duchess, that actually do their own baking and are good at it and offer great coffee at a more reasonable price, I would not waste my time here. If you do not have a Costco membership or do not frequent Costco, this may be a spot you would like for some Costco fare for triple the price. You may be able to get away with that in a small town, where there are few eateries, but not when there are many more options. read more

My favourite cafe in the neighbourhood! They have an amazing selection of bubble teas, including fresh fruit bubble tea. Delicious smoothies and a wide selection of hot beverages from herbal teas to iced Vietnamese coffee. There are more goodies that one can easily choose from; fresh cookies, pastries, squares, pies and cakes. Their dumplings are delicious, and the wonton soup is excellent with a rich broth. There are other excellent lunch menu items as well. This is a very family friendly establishment. Children are made welcome. It is a family-run business, and there is always that extra touch of care given to the service and food. Make sure you show up with a big appetite, you'll regret not sampling enough otherwise! read more

This is a promising new cafe and restaurant in a challenging neighbourhood in Edmonton. The decor shows great effort with some whimsical Parisian flavour. My partner had a latte and I had an Americano both of which were straightforward. The roast wasn't remarkable nor was it unbearable. I had grilled chicken and spring rolls on vermicelli. The chicken was well flavoured with lemongrass and ginger, and the spring rolls were tasty with mushrooms on the inside. All of the pastries were not made in store except the apple pie which tasted pretty decently. The pie was served a la mode. I look forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu. Small business on 118th that caters to a wide variety of foods including Vietnamese and some Indian food. Lots of gluten free and vegan options for those with dietary restrictions. Staff are really friendly and take the time to see how your day is going. Everything here is made fresh , the premises is clean and spacious with a lot of decor that makes u feel like you're home. Had the gluten free chicken and waffles and it was delish! Great portion size for what you pay. Will definitely be back here. Would like to try their dinner selections. read more

The food is delicious!!! We had the Tourterie, the ratatouille soup (delicious w the pickled beets and pickles) and escargot. Would eat there again if we visit Edmonton again in the future. BUT the service was slow and they forgot our escargot, so that added more wait time. Fortunately we had time for a long lunch (1 1/2 hr) and it was all used up! The cafe is comfortable which was relaxing while we waited and waited. The staff was very nice and friendly. They are a new cafe, so hopefully the speed of food service will pick up. Discovered this gem today while walking down 118 Ave. It is a very cute little cafe with friendly service and great food. My wife had the Zesty Chicken Crepe, and I had a BBQ Pork Vietnamese Sub. Both were really good. We plan to be back to have breakfast someday soon! read more
