I ordered my son's class ring, $501 and his graduation package $260 in February. We moved since then and I put in a forwarding address with the post office to take effect 2 weeks prior to our move. It was delivered to my empty house and dropped on the door step. I expected it to be placed in a mail box, but ok. At least require a signature for delivery? These are personalized items that can not be replaced timely. If they are not recieved it can ruin a key moment in a young adults life they worked so hard for and the parents of those young men and women who are looking forward to watching their kids' graduation. Not to mention the price tag on these items and they are just casually dropped on the door step with all the package theifs running rampant. I will say my son is very pleased with his ring. The quality is great and it looks amazing. Would I say it was worth $500? No, but I understand inflation and my son loves it. I would have appreciated more reasonably priced graduation package options. I could have purchased items individually, but it was cheaper to buy the entire package, which is a bit excessive for us and more expensive than I had expected. Over all I am happy with the quality and options with the ring. A few more graduation packages would probably be appreciated. But the biggest issue and the reason for the two stars was the delivery. There is no room for reorders and non-delivery can result in a key life moment being shattered for so many people. read more

I went to purchase a cap and gown for my grandson. The young man, Jesus, who helped me was so kind and patient. I had my very pregnant dog with me and he welcomed her and showed interest and affection. next, he needed information regarding the graduate which I did not readily have. he tried finding the information and was very patient with me as I made phone call and text inquiries. Once we figured all that out, it came time to make payment and I had forgotten my wallet at home. I explained I lived over 30 miles away and he allowed me to take my grandsons cap and gown with me to pay when I got home and hold of my credit card information. I bought the mascot package deal that included the cap and gown unit, 20 official school announcements, 10 photo cards, 2024 pullover hoodie, 2024 2 package tee, choice pants, tassel, 2024 key ring, personal announcement accessories ( choice thank you, envelope seal, return address labels, foil border name cards). NONE of the announcement items have been delivered to us. Nothing with only a month till graduation. Called spoke to a call rep who was so nice but no help. Sad you pay so much money and don't receive ALL of what you purchase or nothing mentioned of a refund or partial refund for the items. Bad business and will not be using them again. Would rather purchase from Amazon in the future. By force I give a 1 star review but deserves 0 and no picture either because we never received the announcements items. read more

I am so disappointed in my daughter's college graduation announcements. Flimsy folded paper. I ordered graduation announcements for my other daughter a couple of years ago and they were high quality card stock. These are just folded paper. The only thing is it has the school emblem but that is it. I bought the deluxe package and paid $260 for folded paper. I would like to know what kind of negotiation Jostens has with the schools or School District so that they force us to give our money to them so that our children graduate as they deserve. The happiness of seeing our children graduate is tarnished by the high cost of poor quality products, some cards whose content is impossible to read, and personalization is a few pieces of paper with the name of the graduate in a font size that is impossible to read or with magnifying glass (size 8 or 9). If I could give this company 0 stars, I would! Our schools used Lifetouch for years, but switch a couple years back. The yearbooks have doubled in price and so did the photos. Their people, who come to the schools, to take photos, are untrained and must be blind! Two years in a row, I have had pictures come back with eyes closed and my children ALWAYS have to do retakes. They don't even tell them to smile! Talk to your districts and get this company out! No family should have to pay $60+ for school pictures and $50+ for a yearbook. read more

The only complaint I have is that they didn't communicate with me unless I called in to get a status update. If you are a school ordering announcements for high school graduation, please stay away from ordering black as an option for your announcements. Jostens will not take any blame when it comes to integrity of their products to ensure customers are happy. Their quality has gone down tremendously. I have seen several other students name cards printed with ink missing in areas and the print so small you need glasses or a magnifying glass to read it. The same goes for the announcements. This would have been avoided with a little quality control on their part to think "hmm, maybe this product doesn't look so good, maybe we should enhance the print to make it stand out on all black paper." I requested a refund of the product since it was not I that ok'd the product. I, as the consumer, have no knowledge of how these will turn out before they arrive to me. I wanted to start this off by saying I am never rude or raise my voice to a customer service rep as I respect them and their job. I understand how hard this can be, and I urge everyone else to also look at this from their perspective before raising your voice at someone who is trying to help you. Also, this review is pretty long, so please bear with me! I appreciate that they have a payment plan in place, especially for the obnoxious prices of the class rings (approx. $1000 for mine). But their customer service is the WORST. They have a plan over the course of 4 months, and they put in fine print that they won't ship the ring until paid in full (and I admit that it was my fault that I didn't see that) but at the very least make it be a little bigger font so people can see it. After about 7 weeks of not hearing anything from them about the status of my payments or the ring, I checked my order status online and it said it is getting ready to ship within the next couple days even though I have 2 payments left. I called to make sure because this is a lot of money sitting there, and it took me 4 tries to get through to them! I emailed, and they took a week to get back to me (and when they emailed me back they spelled my very basic name wrong and gave me an incorrect answer). I also called 4 times, each with a 30 minute wait time. When I finally got in touch to ask if the ring will ship, they said no, not until it is paid. So I asked if I paid off the ring that night, would the ring still ship out in a couple days? The answer: NO. In fact, even though it says the ring will ship out in a couple days, the ring hasn't even been sent into production! Apparently, they don't send your ring into production until you paid it off in full. I asked the representative on the phone where this was written, becasue if I saw it I would have paid in full to have it in time for graduation. He said to me, "No, it isn't stated anywhere because we have different timing options with the 'J-Pay' plans." This is CRAZY! At least let your customers know what to expect when they put $1000 (or any sum of money) down for a nice college ring. I am moving in a little over 8 weeks from now and now I need to change my shipping address, and he told me I can change it no problem. When I asked him where I can change it, as I didn't see any option for that on my account info, he said "oh, you can only do that over the phone." "Well, can I do it now with you instead of waiting another 30 minutes". His response "sure, if you want. Just give me your address now." So just beware, if you need anything changed or answered, make sure you do it all at once. If you don't you will probably have to wait another 30-40 minutes of your life trying to get in touch with their customer service team. This company as a whole is just horrible and over priced. The way they have their system and customer service set up is unorganized, frustrating, and takes a lifetime to get in touch with them. If this is the only company that works with your school, I am very sorry. I wish I had an option of going somewhere else to deal with another company who actually cares about and works with their customers. tl;dr: Horrible company and customer service. Unorganized and omits important information about payment plans and shipping. Other companies that I recommend instead: Herf Jones, Balfour, Kendra Scott, Etsy, literally anywhere else. read more

This is the only place I can find online to review Josten's. I placed an order for a cap, gown and tassel. After officially placing the order, I decided I wanted to make a change and add graduation announcements. Copied from their website: "If you placed your order by phone or online please call 1.800.854.7464, ext. 17107 within 24 hours of order placement. Changes and cancellations are not allowed after 24 hours. " So since I placed an order less than 5 minutes ago, making a change wouldn't be a big problem, right? I called and I was told that my order wouldn't show up in their system for another 24 hours! Interesting, because FROM THE WEBSITE, it says you can't make any changes or cancellations after 24 hours?! After dealing with several customer service representatives each telling me different things, I was able to work it out in the end! My cap and gown and correct tassel came in 7 days, grad announcements in 8. When you pay $54 (the cheapest package option) for 25 graduation announcements, you expect a gorgeous, thick card with elegant lettering and your name standing out that will amaze your fam and friends! NOPE! It's a regular 8x11 piece of paper folded into 4; my school's logo embossed on the front and a hard-to-read, plain black, small cursive font on the inside. I assumed my name would be a different size or color to stand out, but nope. Extrememly disappointed with these grad announcements. I wish I would have made my own or had them made better for half of the price. To add on to their INCOMPETENT customer service, FOUR of my classmates who graduated in 2012 (our ceremony is in 2013) received the WRONG TASSEL! One of my classmates received an email stating that her package is in transit. The next day, a Josten's employee called her to ask if she needed a '12 or '13 tassel. Why are you asking if the package is already on the way?! And what do you know.. she received the WRONG tassel! It even says on her package that it's 2012!! There are still plenty of classmates who are waiting for their packages or need to order. Hopefully Josten's doesn't screw up for the 2398409th time!! read more

Yet another case in which I ordered my product, offered payment, and walked away feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. I placed my order for a college class ring on a paper form at my campus's library six weeks ago. As I offered payment up front, I was assured that I would receive my ring so much faster than everyone else's, within six weeks most likely and definitely before graduation. A week later I noticed my card hadn't been charged yet so I called customer service just to make sure and was told by a woman who took down my name and number that she would find out and call me back. I never received a call back. Theee weeks later, still no charge. I emailed customer service, worried, and was given a generic response about how order forms at schools take a little under a month to be processed and charged. Fine. I still had over 4 weeks until graduation, I could wait. I looked at the calender this morning and realized that I placed my order six weeks ago and I STILL had not been charged. Graduation is now a little over two weeks away. I emailed them again, and finally received an admission that my order had been "found but not entered into the system" and they need my payment information again since it had been more than 30 days. Fine. I called the number and gave my info and was assured that they would put a rush on the order. I probably still won't have it before graduation, and it was only my own experience in retail that kept me from unloading on the woman who answered the phone. I feel like Jostens has such a monopoly on these products that they clearly couldn't care less about their customers, which is disgisting considering many of them are young people who are excited about milestones in their lives. You'd think a company like Jostens could at least muster up some measure of giving a crap in order to avoid tarnishing these moments for people; but when the customer has no alternatives why bother keeping them happy? If I receive my product in a timely manner (i.e., before graduation in 17 days like I was promised) I may change my review, but I'm glad this is my last graduation because I will never purchase a product from this company ever again. Maybe my post-collegiate days will involve giving these opportunists a bit of competition. Edit (21 days later): Ring did not arrive in time for graduation. This is the form given to my child at school. On this paper it states the book price is $70 and right above says save $20. So if your saving $20 you would think that the book is $50. The actual cap & gown, tassel and picture frame were sent to local office to be held until a month before graduation. That is just crazy. We need these items for pictures since during covid the photographer can't use same cap & gown for all students. When you try and reach local office you can't speak with anyone. He also threw in there with the excuses "It was Memorial Day." Okay... Memorial Day is one US work holiday. Not a whole business week!! He then said he'd give me the express shipping (supposedly next day) that I had paid for back to my card. They don't care whatsoever about the customer being upset as the response I have gotten is either defensive arguing back or "sorry to hear that, we'll send it soon" TF?! Thought I could trust the brand Jostens, since I used them when I graduated. I will never use them again, and have made it my mission to spread the word. I ordered graduation announcements, that took 3 weeks to get here and they weren't even personalized! Quality wasn't even that nice. Thank god I ordered the little name plaques for the announcement or they wouldn't even have his name on them. To get any personalization, you have to order the photo cards. There are no refunds, so if it's not right, you're screwed. Plus they sent everything so late, I can't even pay to have someone else do it right. I haven't gotten photo cards yet, so I can't even send those with the announcements. You'd think they come all together. i was assured when I called the photo cards would be sent once I completed personalization. The site sucks and is very confusing. Customer service was polite, even when I chewed them out, so I'll give them that. All in all, use someone else who will give you better service for the money you spend. read more

I go to school at Colorado State and it was time to order my class ring. (Now I did not go through a representative at the school) but I ordered on February 25, 2019 and ended up purchasing a Luxe college ring option. I received my ring today April 2. I called 3 times with different questions and talked to someone nicely each time (again according to these reviews this is not known??) The only reason I gave it a 4-star was I wish there was better communication on the order status, and when it was shipped. I happened to have had good timing and called today asking for shipping information. Hope this helps someone! Placed a order a week ago. First, rep Barbara e-mailed me to give her a call to place my order. Called 10 minutes later. Barbara explained that she had to watch her grandson for an hour and would have to call back. This should have been a red flag. Barbara called back after an hour and took my order. Afterwards asked if I could pay extra to expedite my order as my Stepson is graduating in May. Barbara explained that it would only be a one-two difference in shipping; and that my order would take 4-5 weeks. Barbara failed to include that she would have to mail my order to the company for processing which would add to the 4-5 turnaround. Yesterday, a week later, Jostens made three transactions from my account. My bank declined for possible fraud. Called in to be told they should only attempt 1st $1 for active account then 2nd time for actual payment. Fine!!! This would have been variable information to Customers to make their bank aware that fraudulent activity isn't happening. Spoke with rep Angie, at the 1-800, very unpleasant experience. Angie was very rude, over-talked me, and was very nonchalant. This will be out last order from Jostens and hope to get a better experience for such a milestone somewhere else. read more

I am so disappointed in the lack of customer service and communication from this company. I ordered all the graduation gear for my son back in February 2022. I called them in April because my order status finally updated with my items would arrive on or before June 4th which is after graduation. WHAT??? I requested to cancel my order in which they DENIED! Again WHAT??? I had to order announcements from another company to allow time to be mailed out. The representative said they would call me back in 48 hours to follow up. No return call received. The announcements from the other company were received within a few days and luckily we were able to get them all mailed. In the meantime, I received some very poorly printed half attempt at announcements from Jostens on regular print paper (quad fold 8x11). Well today...a couple days before graduation, the REAL announcements show up. Although these look like real graduation announcements should, what am I to do with these??
