OK, OK. Unpopular opinion, but Jostens is ok. First off, I was a high school yearbook editor, for the sports section, back about a kazillion years ago and I will say constructing a multi-hundred page book with nearly a 1000 students/teachers in it was indeed hard. But we survived. There were a lot of nuances and counter-intuitive steps. It was slow. Things didn't always save. But technology has come a LONG way. (I won't even give you the satisfaction of hearing what our computers looked like then...) Alas, my daughter entered elementary and I wanted to get involved. It took me a year to get my bearings and figure out how best to. Huzzah. PTO's Yearbook Chair. I volunteered... Just in time for COVID. Ick. Well, I survived that year. You know, the year that many kiddos DIDN'T get their school photos taken. (Thus a lot of correspondence with parents and teachers and parents again.) Dumpster fire. But ever year since has gotten better. The technology has come A LONG way. Originally, when I volunteered, I decided to take their many tutorials on how to use the online-only Yearbook Avenue. Eh. That was a waste of time. You truly can figure everything out very simply. Each year I create (single handedly) at 32 page yearbook. But this year, my 10 year old helped me! She could easily upload images, name them and move them around on the page. I feel like that speaks volumes. Next year as a fifth grader, she will do the entire book with my help! (I am beaming at the computer screen as I type this, just thinking about it.) The staff I have dealt with have been helpful and kind. The price of the paperback book itself is a steal ($10? Yes, please.) Delivery times are very, very reasonable. Jostens could be a lot of worse when it comes to constructing a yearbook, trust me. Buyer beware.... Jostens offers a lifetime re-sizing. This is a fact. The term life time is subjective. My class ring was purchased for in 1986 when I was in high school. As we all know our bodies grow still after high school and into our adult years. Jostens could not resize my 9 to a 14. Two CS employee said the ring can only be sized two sizes larger for the alloy ring I habcould afford at the time. To their credit they offered to make a whole new ring. It wouldn't be the same ring but made in today's market. Here is the catch! I would have to forfeit my ORIGINAL class ring. It's not gold or silver. It's just an alloy. It's clear this company doesn't really value sentimental value. They acknowledged in a FB messenger they understand" but it's the policy. The ring is far more valuable to me to forfeit and I had the ring returned to me. So... when they can NOT fulfill their end of the "warranty" and fix the original ring, they told me to purchase a brand new ring and they will send my original ring back. No where in their warranty are there stipulations then. or now. Know this, lifetime does not equate to body changes. Lifetime means it's limited to their capabilities and their terms only as they see fit. read more

Let me start by saying the three stars are specifically for quality of the purchase and service when I spoke to the reps at this location. However I am left with such a distaste of Jostens practices. Did you know rings can be ordered by your children with no parental consent? I was not planning on purchasing a ring for our child with one of their sports this past season, but unbeknownst to us my child was told to fill out paperwork and ring sizes as well as customized said ring. Depending on who you ask they were told it didn't mean you'd have to buy it etc, but why are the kids being told this and Jostens wasting valuable time and resources if once made they don't need to purchase? I was only told once the ring was in that it was ready for pick up. If you're thinking my child should have said something I whole heartedly agree and we've dealt with that as well. I was told when speaking with the rep we did not have to purchase it, but with it already made and designed specifically for my child we decided to purchase it this time and they will be working their job to pay us back. In the future I hope the parents would be asked for approval to save a headache and wasted time. Lesson learned on all fronts. read more

Took my sons ring in on 07/09 because it was sized wrong initially. Person who took it said it would be sent to us in 3 -4 weeks, but to follow up if you haven't gotten it with the warranty department. Called the warranty department today and they don't have the ring. Called the store and the employee made a decision to hold the ring until just yesterday to send it in. If I could give negative stars for this joke of a company and how they hold a monopoly over the schools that you have to basically buy everything from them I definitely would. read more

I got hired through this supposed company. Clearly it's not even a legit job. They never gave me my hiring location or where I was supposed to go my first day. Then when I try and contact him suddenly they don't exist. Nobody in the supposed HR gets back to you to let you know what location you're supposed to go to or be at and you can leave messages and none of them are returned. Steer clear from this company. My son is 7, his school picture is awkward and their service is terrible. The value and package selection is also terrible, I chose the package with a sheet of 4 photos and the digital image, they don't even cut the pictures for you and they haven't sent the digital image yet. I ordered photo cards for my law school graduate. They sent cards with such tiny writing, that I needed a magnifying glass to see and with a font that wasn't even an option I chose. Their response? "The graphic program had a glitch, so they sent it out as is." I called to complain about the product, they said the original design is being mailed to me. Why would they send it if it was obviously their computer mistake? Next, I receive the university specific grad announcements, which online looked like it was a nice card stock paper with the school logo, etc. What actually was delivered was an 8 1/2 x 11 inch, off-white, flimsy paper, folded into quarters and made into a "card"! And the school logo was tiny on the paper. So unbelievably cheap! I could have printed this on my home computer. Shame on you Jostens! This is such an important milestone in our daughter's life, that I wanted to announce it to our friends and family with a beautiful graphic design and quality paper. Very disappointed in this company. They claim they are going to refund my almost $200 I paid for their grad package. I really hope they are true to their word. Please do better for the families that are proud of their graduates and deserve a quality product from an established and reputable company like Jostens used to be. read more

10/2025 - Jonsten Pix provided school photos through Monticello High School, MN. Jonsten sent me a link stating I could now order students photos online. I click the link and it brings up photos from 2024. I was 100% unaware I was purchasing last years photos. Shorty after I make the purchase, I come to realize the photo package I ordered was incorrect (child informed be after I expressed the crazy cost of the photos). I reached out to Jonsten Rep and informed her that I was sent the incorrect link. That this was not my error and it was Jonstens. That I did not feel it was ethical for Jonsten to complete the charge. In simple terms - I was told - Tuff Shit. There is nothing we will do for you. I have now spent $145.00 on purchasing two years of photos when this should not have been the situation. Jonstens has horrible prices. Charge extra fees. Do not back their links or sales. I do not recommend anyone take a chance doing business with Jonsten as all they do is collect your money and tell you to get bent. read more

Jostens Pix does not allow you to purchase a Digital Download unless you purchase a whole image package. Josten Pix requires you to pick a whole photo package, starting at $30, but suggest you spend $70 for their "best value" ultimate package saying it's on sale, when it was "originally $150". It doesn't matter if you ONLY want a Digital Download. You could buy one for $25 if you buy the minimum $30 image package, for a total of $55... or you could get the $40 image package that includes an 8x10 & 2 5x7s plus a Digital Download, but again, you don't get a say in what you actually get if you ONLY want a Digital Download. 1 Star. read more

I ordered my doctoral robe and regalia for my graduation that is happening, May 8, 20205 and as of May 7th, NO ROBE! I called Jostens and not only had the robe not shipped, it wasn't finished and possibly not even started! I ordered before the deadline, so that is not the reason I don't have my robe. I am super dissapointped as I have worked my ass off to complete my PhD and no robe. I was given a refund, but again, it's the day before my graduation and I don't have a robe. Ordered my college graduation cap and gown bundle which said it included a STOLE and a tassel. The gown was way too big and I did not get the STOLE. I called Jostens and rep stated STOLE would be sent separate??? I asked HOW when the package clearly says STOLE as one of the items included... He reassured me that the extra tassel that I ordered and the STOLE were shipped separately and would be here this week in time for my scheduled photo shoot. WELP, I got the extra tassel on Monday and now its Wednesday, photo shoot is on FRIDAY... STILL NO STOLE... So I called Jostens again and just as I originally thought, the STOLE was omitted from the bundle by mistake and was not being sent separately.... Now with 2 days to spare they cant even rush me one in time. The soonest it will get here ATP is next Wednesday! I am livid, because while the rep last week was trying to convince me that I was wrong, HE was wrong the whole time and should've been rush ordering my STOLE.... My doctorate robe was incorrect and they did not take responsibility to correct the problem that they created properly. I highly don't recommend this company. Please stay away. Graduation material orders should not be changed because your 'supply was low' and decided on your own to provide me with an incorrect gown. Overall, what you order could or could not be shipped on time. If you order a year in advance, you might be good. *DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS* Ordered 7 caps and gowns on April 26th. Paid in full. After a few weeks of not getting a tracking number I called and was told I'd receive the order on or before May 31st. I received a voicemail on May 24th to tell me I owed them money for shipping. I called and was told that the order was fine and I would receive the order on or before May 31st. On May 30th I still have not received tracking information and called to find out what was happening. I was told my order was canceled due to unpaid shipping (I have a receipt from April 26th saying I paid in full and had no outstanding balance). I spoke with a customer service rep and was told all they could do was reorder it, but could not guarantee any quick delivery. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told there was no supervisor to talk to and that this was the only solution. I asked again to speak to a manager and the rep told me skeptically that he would but they would just tell me the same thing. I spoke with the manager. He never apologized. He never acknowledged the mistakes that were made by the business on their end. All he could do was reorder my caps and gowns and try to rush it out to me. He even still charged me more than the original cost of the order to cover shipping costs after they made such a serious mistake and are risking that 6 of us students will not have our regalia for graduation. They have a representative for Newton High school which was unprofessional, unorganized and never communicated with me or my daughter. Do not use this company. When you order graduation announcements you have to have them mailed out one month in advance, and they are not even going to arrive to me until 2 weeks before the ceremony. What is the point? Spent just under $600 for my son's Varsity jacket, waited weeks for it to arrive (just in time for their homecoming dance & his teams Senior night) - and THEY SHIPPED US THE WRONG JACKET!!! Yes, we received someone else's jacket, when we've been so excited knowing his was arriving soon. And the jacket we did receive was poorly packaged, so the white leather arms ate all creases and wrinkled. Not ideal for photos. Honestly if I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered some graduation apparel for graduation May 14th way in advance just for them to keep giving me the run around and changing my shipping dates. This last time my shipping date changed to June 2nd when my graduation date is May 14th. Their customer service absolutely sucks and they are not sincere or accommodating at all! I had to call multiple times just to get an update on my order, which every person I talked to gave me different answers. Oh and even though it's their fault my ordered keeps getting pushed back, they denied my request for it to be shipped so I could have it for graduation :). My son's school district just announced yesterday that graduation exercises will be held in late June 2021. Posting review on 5/13/21. Back in Autumn Quarter 2020, my son Alex (aka The Homie) and I went through all the various packages offered through Jostens for his senior year. Add that to student costs like an ASB card, yearbook, senior portraits, and other stuff needed for Running Start...very expensive! But made it happen financially. Fast forward, we received the various clothing by Winter Quarter 2021 mailed to our home address. The cap, gown, tassels, sash, swag, and stationary were distributed on campus two weeks ago on 4/30/21. The stationary included name cards, announcements, and thank you cards. Contents were as advertised and arrived in a timely fashion. This allowed to get announcements mailed out a month prior. The cap and 2021 tassel is also proving helpful for The Homie to get more free stuff and treats in the greater Seattle area. To get "robbed" of a portion of his junior year and then entire senior year of high school due to the C19 pandemic, Jostens still managed to make this achievement and milestone special. Their timeliness and quality helped commemorate my son's high school graduation. Congratulations to The Homie, Shorewood HS Class of 2021! Today I received my Yearbook, which was delivered to the school 2+ weeks behind schedule. This is inexcusable lateness considering that even if Jostens had needed to reprint and bind the entire order of Yearbooks, they would have likely arrived quicker. Upon examining my 2-week-late Yearbook, I found a series of mistakes which the Yearbook company I was previously with never made. Stock images were used on the cover page, still visibly reading the word "stock", showing that Jostens did not bother to purchase the image. The name on my personalized Yearbook was not centered to any extent in the corner of the cover or by other means of alignment. Bindery was performed incorrectly and as a result of such, the spine's lettering was not centered. The Year In Review pages were printed at a low resolution, instead of reprinting the last signature, Jostens decided to add additional pages, making the Year In Review a double print in the final copy. It goes to show how little Josten's cares. After viewing first hand how catastrophically horrendous the products of this company are, I would never recommend this company to anyone whatsoever. read more

I've been going through an extremely frustrating painstaking experience with Josten's over the last two weeks regarding the masters cap and gown package I ordered. There has been no empathy or courtesy whatsoever. All they can say is "there's nothing we can do". I disagree. They won't accept even a tiny fraction of responsibility for the situation I'm in. The week I ended up purchasing my masters cap and gown package, there was only ONE package on their site, called "Fine Quality Regalia" for $416 after tax and shipping. There was no indication AT ALL that they offer a cheaper student version package. When I received my order in the mail, there was no zipper pull and tassel charm with my university's logo, which my school had said it would be included. When I finally got through to someone at Josten's (don't get me started with their phone issues), I was informed there was a student package and I had purchased the higher-end one that faculty members tend to buy and is completely non-returnable. I pulled up their site on this day and now it did finally show the $82 student package, the description, and that it was currently unavailable for online order and to call in to order. This is what should've displayed on their site the day I ordered, but it did not. If it did, it would've saved me from buying an overpriced wizard's outfit I'll never wear again. After a total of 13 calls over the last two weeks, and FIVE hours of my life I'll never get back, they won't send me any kind of partial credit, won't accept an exchange, won't send the cheaper gown and tassel I need (with the university logo), not EVEN A DAMN $9 tassel with my school logo - nothing. I now have this extremely overpriced gown and my school logo is NOWHERE on it. For my graduation portraits in a few weeks, I won't have any representation of the university I'm graduating from at all. Not even after spending 80% MORE than what I should've, again, because their website failed to display very important information. I had even tried calling a few times before I ordered and couldn't get through. They don't care that I have screenshots, browser history and phone records proving my point. I have to mention, I was also placed on hold for over an hour by two different reps, two different times. The last time I spoke with them, I asked to be transferred to a manager and got disconnected after holding for 25 minutes. I was calm and respectful at all times (trust me, I worked in a call center for years before and would never verbally abuse anyone over the phone like some people do). I'm just astonished at their lack of empathy or care. This is the last thing someone should be dealing with during the final weeks of school, wrapping up a stressful thesis project, and spending what I did on top of student loans, and on top of all that, during COVID-19 times. For a company who provides products to people at what should be a joyous memorable time of their lives, I truly feel they took advantage of students and their families with no remorse. They just want the money and don't believe in doing the right thing, and provide poor service while at it. read more

Then after looking on the website it said cancellations only work until 24 hours so I got lied to. Then I made a phone call BEFORE the 24 hours were up to cancel it and the guy said he did, a while later I get an email about an update on the order I had canceled. I then sent a email to tell them I called and canceled it and they said my order has been canceled on a email back. I am working on finding out how it is even legal to charge a 13.98 delivery charge- when you can only have the stuff delivered to the school. That means when they deliver 200 plus bulk orders for students that they are receiving 13.98 per student for one delivery. There was no other option as well. I will get to the bottom of this. I ordered a solid gold Bachelor of Science graduation ring with a diamond to be updated for my Master of Arts degree, but instead of replacing "B.S." with "M.A.," they inscribed the number 24. Oddly enough, 2024 is already on the other side, so the mistake is baffling, even though they admitted it was an error. After returning the ring, I received the exact same thing three months later, with no changes made. When I called to confirm they had the correct instructions again, they assured me they did. Really frustrated with my order through Jostens. I ordered doctoral regalia since I'll (finally!) be able to walk in a ceremony in March 2022, almost a year after obtaining my degree. The date doesn't really matter, except that it shows I've been waiting quite a while for this (not Jostens' fault) and so this has been built up in my mind. For doctoral regalia, it's custom measurements. So I had someone help me provide all of the requirement measurements and sent it in. Because it's custom it's also expensive (over $300), but again, very much worth it after my journey. When I got the gown (I will say it came quite quickly), it fit me horribly. It was way too large. Mostly, it was way too wide. I get that these gowns are meant to have big puffy sleeves and not be form fitting, but it just looked horrible. I am not exaggerating when I saw you could probably fit two of me inside that gown. Needless to say after all this waiting to finally get the regalia that represents a looooooot of hard work (and a fair amount of money) and have it look so horrible on me was very deflating. However, if that's where the story ended, it would be not so bad. It gets worse because the level of customer service I've received in trying to address this has been abysmal, which has only compounded the initial disappointment. I won't go into all the details, but in short it's been over 30 days since I first contacted them about this and I still don't have all of the information I need to resolve. Apparently there is an opportunity to get the gown altered; however, it's taken at least 5 different conversations on my part to get close to what I think it what I need to make this happen. On one occasion I had sent an email and waited a week for a response before I sent a prompt. On another occasion it was a week and a half before I received a response. When I called to see if I could get a faster resolution, I was told that there's no guarantee they could get the gown to fit me better, which was incredibly disappointing after paying all that money for a "custom" gown. That person also sent me all of the documentation I needed to send it back except for the prepaid shipping label. I had to call back the next day and confirm that the shipping label gets physically mailed to me (a week and a half later, I still haven't received it). In short, it's incredibly disappointing to receive a "custom" gown that looks like I'm wearing a tent. Especially when I paid a fair amount of money for it. While I'm excited to finally march in a ceremony I honestly cringe thinking about how bad pictures are going to look if this gown can't be fixed. To add insult to injury, customer service has been terrible in trying to help me resolve this-incomplete information, incredibly long delays in responses, and telling me there's no guarantees. I had no choice but to go through them to get regalia so I can march, but you'd better believe I won't ever voluntarily order anything from them. read more

I purchased a high-end custom college graduation ring for my brother a few days ago and decided after the purchase that I wanted to modify it. I called them and wasn't sure what would happen.
