Buyer Beware!!! I purchased some items from Jostens. One was a graduation ring for my daughter. It was quite expensive. I only mention this because what I'm about to write. We recently got the ring in the mail. When I opened the package the ring box was and grabbed the papers inside of it along with the ring box I noticed my hands turned blue. Upon looking further, I noticed it looked like ink that I thought was from the papers or the outside of the bag. I soon realized it was all over the inside of the bag and it was blue toner.why would they have blue toner all over the inside? Who knows. I tried to wipe it off and wipe my hands with a wipe and that made it worse. It was everywhere and got on everything. I had only pulled out the papers at that point. I had t even gotten the ring out. It was such a fine dust but so much of it and everywhere. I pulled the ring box out and it was all over the box too. It took me an over an hour to clean everything up. Thankfully the ring itself was not damaged and surprisingly the inside of the box was not messed up. For such an expensive item the care of the package was extremely poor and I don't know why it had blue toner all inside of it. The ring itself was nice as my daughter was happy for that. But Jostens needs to step they game up and fix their shipping process up. I rate it a 1 because the money I spent buying stuff from them I should not have gone through this. I hope they do something about this and not ignore it. read more

My high school ordered through Josten's for my grad invites. The first batch of graduation memorabilia was sent in a timely manner; however, I noticed that they printed my name wrong on the name cards I ordered. I emailed the company and received an automated email back saying that they'd respond to my email in 2 business days. After two days came and went, I called Jostens, which was not an easy task. I called many times, but I wouldn't get through, so I sent another email. This one didn't get a response at all. This all happened on a Friday, so I couldn't try calling again until Monday. After trying a few more times on Monday, I finally got through and I was reassured that they'd send a new batch out immediately and that I'd receive it in ten business days. Seeing that graduation is closing in, I said I wouldn't be able to wait that long and the woman on the other end told me she'd try to rush it. Ten days has come and gone, much like what happened with the emails (still no reply) and I still don't have my name cards. Now, I'm graduating in less than two weeks and still haven't been able to send out invitations. I called asking for a refund, seeing as how I'll have to send them without the name cards at this point, and I was told that Jostens NEVER gives refunds, no matter the circumstance. Honestly, don't even bother with this company. Other than that experience, my cap and gown were fine. The invitations were pretty cheaply made; the card stock was pretty thin and some of them arrived wrinkled. Three of my outer envelopes arrived creased around the corners, but the inner ones were fine. My envelope seals were also a little wrinkled, and some of the seals at the end of the sheet were slightly cut off, but it wasn't too noticeable. Liked the ease of order and ability to customize the ring to just what my daughter wanted. This was meant to be a gift for graduation. In the order and billing section you are able to have the ring shipped to the payee, me, Dad. The ring instead shipped to our home with my daughter's name on it. Of course she opened an expensive gift with absolutely no fanfare and completely ruined her graduation present. Thanks for nothing... Please fix your delivery/shipping system. read more

This company ought to be ashamed of themselves they take peoples money that they worked hard for only to keep you holding for hours and you never receive the items that you pay for and on top of that they charge you an arm and a leg for the items. You are better off purchasing your items yourself and doin it that way. And if you all be prepared for them to keep you on the phone all day. As I am typing this out now I am on hold and been on hold for 20 minutes now when this should have been taken care of back in January and then again in May when I called. I placed a $431 order for a high school locket for my daughter and received something that was ENTIRELY wrong. When I called the company to rectify the issue, I received customer service equally bad. I was told Jostens could not send me the correct item until they received the incorrect one back. I was told my return would be easy: "I could just go to the post office, BUY an envelope to send it, and they would send me a shipping label." Not surprising, I never received the shipping label. After I called back and placed on hold for an insane amount of time, I was told by a supervisor that their UPS shipping system has been down for weeks. Weeks! I wish I read the reviews before ordering my daughter's class ring. It took 10 weeks to arrive and it is not at all what I expected. It does not look like the photo at all. On the website, it looks like a high quality substantial ring. I did not receive this. It is very thin, flimsy, the gem is tiny and the writing is so small that I need eyeglasses to read it. I am shocked at the poor quality of their products these days. Jostens was the go to for everything class related when I was growing up. I cannot imagine that that they are still in business with the products that they are sending out now. I am embarrassed to give the ring to my daughter. She is going to hate it. So sad. read more

Cap and gown didn't get delivered until today (April 23). Still don't have announcements or custom tassel. Called ump-teen times and I was told "sorry" by several people, but no one can tell me why my son's stuff wasn't delivered or where it even is. Actually, they blamed the school rep. I don't know whose fault it is, nor do I care. They told me they would call me back; they never did. One person told me the announcements and tassle would be delivered to his school on Monday since it is so close to graduation. I call back and they tell me they will be delivered to my house and they have been awaiting shipping for 21 days! When I asked why my announcements hadn't been mailed, I was told "protocal is two weeks before the event." Hey stuppid - that's when I am supposed to mail them out....not you. I am so disgusted wtih these people and the fact they have the market on high school is appalling! I ordered my Ucla class ring in February , it was supposedly lost in there mail, and they had to make a totally new one . I called again on may 7, it was sent out for delivery on may 4, and I was suppose to get it on may 12 . Did not get it . I ordered graduation announcement cards and received the wrong ones. After searching the person's name on FB and Instagram and not locating her, I contacted Jostens to let them know that I had received someone else's cards and that I had not received my cards. They had sent my cards to the wrong address as well. By this time, it is one week from graduation, and I ask the rep if there's any way they can send new cards ASAP so that we can have them at a few days before graduation, and they said that they could not expedite them and that it would take 7 to 10 days. It is two days before graduation, and I still have not received my cards, and I'm sure the other person has still not received their cards. I would NOT recommend doing business with Jostens. Usually when a company makes such a mistake, they try to rectify it. They did not even attempt to accommodate me, even though it was their mistake. Again, it is past the 7 to 10 days, and I still have not received the cards. If I could rate a zero, that's exactly how I would rate them!!! read more

Absolute trash. Got the address wrong on the return labels for Graduation invites. Skimped me on tissue overlay. They also have shoddy inner envelopes that barely fit the invite at all. Hella overpriced and the CEO can go to a Chinese labor camp and starve to death for all I care. read more

I sent a ring for resizing and a few weeks later, I receive the ring that was sized down not up like I asked. I send it back and 5 months later I receive a ring that was still the wrong size plus a crappy job on it. I take a closer look at it and it has someone else's initials. I emailed them twice now and no reponse. I am convinced that if I ask them for the time of day, they would get that wrong too. I was about to order my daughters class ring from there, but they have mishandled my USMC ring. read more

I have had a Jostens college ring for more than 25 years. Recently​, after losing some weight, I needed to have my ring resized. I sent it into​ Jostens and they not only resized the​ ring they replaced the stone and gold lettering on the stone and polished the entire ring. When I got it back it looked brand new. My daughter's school requires their Seniors use Jostens for everything, cap/gown, yearbook, announcements, grad ring etc! From her senior photo to ordering her cap and gown to announcements I've experienced nothing but frustration! The website is garbage and just sends you in circles PLUS to create a yearbook message you have to download an app which apparently doesn't recognize tablets. I will say the employees involved in her senior photo were good. But once again the process was ridiculous! We selected the photo for yearbook in the studio but then I got a text telling me I had until end of business that day to log in and choose a photo for yearbook online. Then I get a call telling me the photo I chose online was different than what we chose in studio. If you knew we chose in studio why the text!!!??? You can only access the photos online for a few weeks and the yearbook (sold only thorough Jostens of course) requires the photo WAY before you would order announcements so now I have to contact the again to create the announcements. I haven't received the cap and gown I ordered weeks ago and the school says they don't have it. From the schools point of view, I can see why this arrangement would be attractive but believe me as a parent this is hell. You cannot e-mail and when calling you are on hold for at least an hour or more. Then their customer service is awful and they can basically tell you nothing. Horrible horrible, not impressed, I placed a baby add for my kid for the middle school year book, and they put it in the high school yearbook, after we even verified that it was middle school, I waisted about $130 for an add my kid doesn't even get see and we still have to pay for just because it got put in, but it was put in the wrong book their website they use sucks, extra slow, and I do not recommend for anyone. I ordered the cap gown and tassel combo C on-line, and after my daughter graduated they demanded the gown back and told my daughter she didnt purchase the gown. I showed them the receipt that shows in blk and wht that I purchased the CAP and GOWN, but the rep said it didnt matter because it would have cost alot more to purchased the gown. I spoke to customer service on the phone the next day and they told me "what do you want us to do" what a class act company, they false advertises on their website. Like others before "worst company ever" I wouldnt be surprised if some Education Board member is getting a big kick back from this company. Update: I want to thank Laurie H. at Jostens for finally getting to the bottom of the cap and gown issue. With her help (and 3 phone calls later) my daughters cap and gown will be FedExed to my house. Thank you Laurie H. for finding a solution! I have had the worst experience with Jostens. Last year when my first child graduated high school, they printed the date on her photo card inserts wrong, and I did not receive a couple of items that I ordered. One they sent me a replacement for no problem. The other one they said they didnt receive an order for, but if I still wanted it they could place the order and send it to me. Not happy but ok. I thought maybe it was a fluke, because they have such a high reputation. I ordered from the again this year for my second daughter...BIG MISTAKE! They left her announcements package in the school office in March and didnt bother to message me that they were delivered like they said they would. Yet when I would call they would tell me they were ready yet. Didnt get them in our possession until May when the school office called and asked if when I was going to pick them up. Then the thank you cards were not what we ordered. We ordered gold to match her name cards, but they sent silver; and I was told it was too late to reprint them. To make matters worse, Jostens says the school has her cap and gown, and the school says they only have her announcements. Graduation is in a week. My daughter STILL does not have her cap and gown, and I cant get a straight answer as to where it is. I ordered $600 worth of merchandise. You would think they would appreciate their customers a little more and provide better service! God knows they sure are charging enough money for stuff! My son is a senior this year at Community High school. We have spent over $500.00 on his graduation announcements and Sr items. When I contacted Jostens to ask what they were planning to do with all the Covid-19 crisis I was told by a rude not so customer good Customer Service rep that they service to many schools to do anything to the announcements. I was also informed that it was my problem and we should just put a note in there that the dates were changed. I didn't spend this much money to be told it was my problem. I will not be using Jostens in the future for no product as I have a upcoming JR and Freshman. I will choose to get my products for their competitors like Amazon and Prestige photo who has already offered to reprint these products at no cost due to the pandemic that no one could foresee. Jostens needs some competition in the school sector as they have gotten to comfortable and forgot how to service customers read more

I absolutely DO NOT recommend buying anything from this extremely unprofessional company. It took me almost 2 months to get my cap and gown, they sure as all hell charged my card quickly though! When my order finally got here it was completely wrong! I filed a request to have the items returned and it's been over a month and a half since this elusive label was sent out and STILL NOTHING! The people who work at this company are completely useless! I had to pay $18 in shipping this morning out of pocket just to send it back and just now they are saying they are not going to refund me anything at all! I've gotten my bank involved. Buyer beware!!! If you buy a ring from Jostens, make sure you keep the receipt for the rest of your life! My dad purchased his ring from Jostens in 1974, when he was a senior in high school. It came with a lifetime warranty! The stone has since fell out of the ring, so he sent it to Jostens for repair. He just received it back in the mail today with a letter stating it wasn't their ring and they will not fix. Also included business names and phone numbers of other places that may have made it. Placed my order in January and barely got it yesterday which was March 27th. When i went to see what I have, my senior bag had no print on it, and my senior jacket had a hole in the armpit! They don't give refunds unless you're not graduating and clearly don't care about what they're throwing in those boxes. It doesn't take three months to figure out how to send something! I am extremely disappointed in the whole situation with Jostens. I ordered from them a couple of years ago and never received my package and was never refunded or even contacted back. I recently decided to give them a second chance hoping that it was just a one time thing, but had yet another terrible experience. I ordered my graduation cap and gown and everything else needed for graduation through their website, come to find out the website was wrong and I was sent the wrong stuff. The stuff that I did receive (which was not the correct items) came damaged and was overall poor quality. But it doesn't stop there, they refuse to pay to have the items shipped back unless you're going to purchase other items through them. I'm not ordering more items to have them be damaged or even undelivered. Their customer service is terrible and everyone I've ever talked to has been rude. I am furious right now. I ordered my class ring and I got in last april (its august right now). I sent the ring back to jostens because all the measurements were off and so was the band. After numerous emails and complaints, I still havent gotten my ring back and have called my representative multiple times without him answering. They said they shipped my wring to my schools representative, and although I sent him emails and have called him, he still hasnt responded. I received a shirt with Euless Trinity logo on it and the letters were orange instead of red, so I let them know and they made another shirt and it was just like the first one. So, I contact Jostens again and I was told that it's the machine. Jostens is a large company, so why is their red, orange? Also, you can see the line around the logo, where they ironed it on! My Son won a drawing from Jostens for a "free" class ring/tag. He asked about the limitations and was told that he was limited to one certain type of metal and that was it. He selected his tag because he doesn't like rings and turned in his order form. Again the salesman stated no limitations except metal. Two weeks later I receive an email from Jostens stating I owed $398 as his selection was over his allotted $297 "free" item. I explained that he was told there was no limitation, twice. I was asked again for my debit card number for the remainder or he could select something in the $297 range. For tags-those start at over $300....as do most of their products for rings and tags.....so essentially he can get a ring with NOTHING....or their ploy was that parents would then pay to upgrade the kids free item into something the kid actually wants. After reading these reviews, I can see that my situation is common. I ordered my floating locket with charms in March - over 3 months ago. The locket arrived in 4 weeks, with no charms. I was sent to the warranty department, and the charms were 're-ordered'. that was 8 weeks ago. some did arrive, but not the signature one - the only one that matters. I have emailed 3 times, and only get automated replies. I have called 5 times, and they can only say that it has been ordered, but they have no other information. No tracking or anything. Today she said that they are swamped, and have inventory and all. REALLY!? I paid $339 and of course cannot get a refund. There is no recourse for their incompetence. I am stuck. Jostens has a monopoly and no competition. They clearly cannot handle the job. read more

If I had the ability to leave no stars and an extremely scathing review, I would. However, I will just have to leave you with the scathing review as this company is the worst company I have ever had the misery of dealing with my whole life. I am utterly disappointed in their inability to pull themselves together. I ordered a ring from them and it turned out fine, but disaster struck when I attempted to order graduation announcements and cards. I had to call customer service repeatedly as the website had a glitch that would show you the wrong card color. I wanted gold and it would show me a black card! I then received it in the mail and it was black, despite selecting gold! Why did this happen, you may ask! I called customer service and they were so incompetent, I felt like my brain would shrivel up if I listened to one more second of their droning on about useless coupons and card colors. They told me to select the gold color despite the preview showing it as black and said they would fix it on their end. Yeah right! They then compensated me with a coupon meant to cover half the cost, but it didn't even work! I now had to pay double and had to wait anxiously for months to see if my cards were even possible to send out without making me look embarrassing to the relatives. It took eons for the cards to deliver and I had to resort to choosing another color (blue) which by the way, made the card look absolutely hideous. I am just so disappointed in this rock-bottom service and don't believe it will ever get better, so do yourselves a service and use Shutterfly instead! If all you want is a stack of cards with your face on it, keep in mind that you should not be experiencing what I have just detailed! read more

Regarding Jostens...We put my daughters Cap and gown order in on January 27 for her College Grad commencement. The virtual graduation is this Friday May 15th. We have been calling for 3 weeks straight looking for her cap and gown. We hold for a matter of 2 to 3 hours at a time for days on end. When we do get through to Customer Service they tell us each time her order never shipped due to covid 19 but they will call me back with a tracking number. However Covid 19 was not an issue until mid March. We have been promised by 3 separate customer service reps that they would do their due diligence and get back to us..NO calls back!!!! We Called Jenny in corporate who told me she would get an answer for me in 48 hours. That was 3 weeks ago. When I followed back up with her today she said she is just a receptionist and "noone in corporate has a phone so there is noone else in corporate that I can talk to." Lies after lies. No cap, no gown, no tassel, no hood! How pathetic of a company! I will be fighting this with the attorney general..and better business bureau. They were more than happy to take our money but wont give us what we paid for!!! May 15th will be a sad day with no grad wear. Shame on you Jostens. No excuse!!!!!!! Piano music is all you will get when you call! Worst customer service ever! When you go to their facebook page to voice your concerns they delete your comments. Terrible customer service. Sent me the wrong size gown for graduation and then told me I would have to go through my school to fix the problem as the lady on the phone couldn't spell my last name. I spent 45 dollars on a gown I may not be able to return and get the correct size before graduation this summer. Not to mention, took 6 months to ship in the first place.
