My girlfriend and I took the day off just to enjoy it. We stopped in to grab a bite and some wine. The food was amazing and so was the Sangria. While we were waiting for our food we looked up and saw the Blue Lives Matter flag which caught us completely off guard. Our server Caitlyn was super friendly and attentive. Also, it may have been the owner or manager who greeted us and asked us how everything was, she was also very pleasant. We just don't know if they are inclusive. If we did notice the flag as we walked in we would have walked out. Overall we enjoy trying new things restaurants all over Jacksonville and featuring them on our Instagram. Food was a 4.5/5 Service was about the same. But we were not as comfortable. Hopefully no one else has to feel the same way and this situation could be addressed. read more

Joseph's is one of my favorite spots at the Beaches Town Center! I love to sit outside and people watch, and it is a great spot if you're looking for a dog friendly option. There are only a few tables outside, so get there early or be prepared to wait. Their pizzas are fantastic and I also love the Greek salad. The kids love the mozzarella sticks too. But let's be honest - this is a small and easy place, very nice people and my last meal was a slice and a Pepsi for 7 bucks? And it was again very good. Joseph's is a family favorite. My girls especially love coming here. They enjoy the diy/make your own pizza kits for kids. My youngest always loads up on the cheese while my oldest adds pepperoni. The server brings out the kit to the table and the kids put their own sauce and toppings. Once they are ready, the server takes it back to put in the pizza oven. My girls love to tell people that they know how to make pizza now. We also ordered the Joseph's special and sautéed mussels. The pizza has pretty much everything on it but doesn't feel heavy. The mussels were cooked perfectly and had lots of flavor. The sauce is great for dipping your pizza crust in. Love this family owned business and highly recommend. I ordered the lasagna that came with garlic bread and Italian wedding soup. Oh my goodness! The lasagna was amazing, lots of garlic and cheese and enough for 2 meals. The garlic bread was also delicious and plentiful. The soup was also delicious. Leftovers were easy to reheat in the oven. Order came early and accurately. I have never had a bad meal at Joseph's. This is one of our favorite local pizza spots. The family/employees are all very friendly and attentive. My girls had after school activities today but we had time to kill so we stopped in for an after school snack/early dinner. The kids have the option to make their own pizzas. They tell them what toppings they'd like and the server brings it out on a platter with the crust, sauce, and cheese. After the kids do their "work of art," the server takes it back to be cooked. The pizza is always fresh and delicious and it's such a family friendly place. Completely bummed when we arrived as it appeared closed. Assumed it was due to Covid and staffing but decided to try again the next day. Thankfully, they were open and was told they were renovating some things which is why they were randomly closed. When we tried again we got great service and delish food. This restaurant is located one block from the beach. If you sit outside you have a nice, scenic, view pointed in direction of the beach. You will not be able to see the beach, although, the area is beautiful to look at. The outside is pet friendly if you have your dog (s) with you. The inside has a nice family friendly atmosphere. The tables have games such as checkers built into them. We witnessed many families playing checkers while waiting for their food. We noticed that everything we could see was kept clean. We also noticed the tables do have a bit wear and tear. The food we all ordered had a good fresh taste. The menu had not common recipes on it. We enjoyed every part of the food we ordered. We visited on a Tuesday night. While we were hear a local band arrives and set up inside. They started their free show for all customers of the this restaurant. Best crust I've ever had, you can really taste the difference between homemade and the other guys' pizza

So we happened upon this gem of pizza place. We were actually at our favorite Ice cream spot Whits next door and realized there was a pizza place next door. Out of curiosity we went in to see if they had GF options and boy were we in for an unexpected treat. First our server Andrew was the best. He was so accommodating and informed on his GF options. He was patient and was so cute when he took a step back and said he realized he gave me a lot of information. It was too cute really but he was so enthusiastic about having not only pizza but PASTA options that were GF. He said they could sub any item for a GF ziti pasta white or red sauce and another homemade made olive oil and garlic sauce. He even had the kitchen make up a "sample" size order for me to try the pasta and the reason I say 'sample" is because the size was a small meal portion. I could not finish it and this was my sampler. Too awesome... They have a happy hour $2 beer and 1/2 price wine. I had a white Zinfandel as I waited for my to go order GF pizza that I was not ecven going to be able to eat thanks to my sample pasta dish but I am all in at this point. It's a small place that gets pack fast. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was not busy when we walked in but as we sat all the tables filled up quickly. This must be a locals secret spot at the beach and that would make sense with the size of this place. My GF pizza crust was scrumptious both crispy and chewy. Great fresh toppings and just simply a really good GF pizza. I now have two more reasons to come to the corner of Atlantic and 1st. So happy my curiosity lead me to this great find definitely worth the trip to the beach. read more

Four stars for the value, the service and the experience. We snagged the last open table on a bustling Friday night. Our server Andrew, was super polite and simply a great worker. He made helpful suggestions to my better half when ordering. My Chicken Piccata was heavily flavored with lemon and generously covered with mushrooms and artichokes. The chicken tore apart with fork and knife. The spaghetti was properly cooked, which made a nice accompaniment to the chicken. The Italian Wedding soup warmed me up on a cool evening. Honestly, the soup and garlic break were just A-OK. Very basic and had decent flavor. The portions here are no joke. Absolutely huge. I guarantee you will have to take home leftovers. Boy does it smell good sitting outside of Joseph! My husband got a slice of cheese pizza $2.41 and it was huge and very tasty! Thicker crust but not chewy, good sauce and plenty of cheese! I start this review out with nibbling on my leftover pizza from yesterday evening. (No need for a reheat delicious cold) I have been to Joseph's times before moving to the Jax beach area. (2 years ago) I loved it then and it remains consistent now. My husband and I decided a beach day for my birthday yesterday and then i remember Joseph's was around the area and was slightly in the mood for pizza. I then scrolled through Yelp to see the most transparent and friendly owner I have ever seen yet while viewing through Yelp. I saw her responses to everyone and her values and immediately I was in. So we ventured to Joseph's after the beach and sat outside with my dog. I saw that their dressings were handmade and wanted to try a side salad. I just winged it and went Italian. Their salad comes paired with a piece of garlic bread, I enjoyed dipping it in my house made dressing. Very delicious and hit the spot after being in the sun. I also got a pepperoni slice and a ham and pineapple slice. So delicious. My husband likes ranch with his pizza (I usually do not) but there ranch is killer. I went back for multiple pizza dips in it to my surprise. When I went to this location prior I had their Cajun Ranch wings and loved them so i stuck with pizza this time to try something new. Picked up a pizza after a night walk on the beach. She was a friendly cashier/server who walked the pizza out when it was done. And What a pizza! One of the best hand tossed I've had with a nice crunch to the bottom- excellent texture. We picked the vegetarian and substituted a couple of topics. The garlic and well placed toppings were a sweet nonstop dance, slice after slice on my satisfied tongue. We all agreed, so good. My highest compliments to the pizza chef!!! read more

We ordered takeout. Pizza was pretty tasteless- sauce had no flavor and the crust reminded us of cornbread that's been reheated. Garlic knots were okay. I'm from California where there is vegan/dairy foods left and right..when I moved here all I wanted was to find another dairy free pizza place (my lactose intolerant.) I ordered from here on a whim one night and my husband and I fell in love. I'm so happy they offer this option even if it costs a little more. Honestly one of the best pizzas I've ever had. It tastes so good I got concerned they accidentally gave me cheese . Tried to order a few weeks back and they were out of vegan cheese for a couple days I believe. This business makes a wonderful pizza, however, beware of your charges on your credit card. Twice we were charged for a tip amount we did not authorize. First time I emailed business on their website and owner called me to apologize and refunded the overpayment. This time once again a tip was added for a takeout order. I've ordered Joseph's for pickup countless times but never find my way in to dine. Their pizza has such great taste and the dessert are awesome too. No matter the day or time, it seems to always take 20-30 minutes to make which isn't bad at all. Friendly staff and the place is always hopping when I go to pick up. Parking is very difficult for any restaurant in the area but there is a 15 minute parking spot that is close and usually unoccupied. I still have more pizza places to try in Jax but this is one of the best thus far! read more

The sign stating that they were voted "Best in Jax" got our attention. After checking for Gluten free options, we settled for a pizza and mussels. Both were excellent choices. Our waiter was Brian, and we had just missed the bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Mary's but we're too early for the Happy Hour. He was helpful and said he would write the ticket before we left so we would get the happy hour prices. Winner! The mussels were not the usual garlic butter and wine, but instead a thick, and slightly spicy tomato based simmering sauce. The spice kicked in after you bit into it and was a pleasant surprise. A lot of locals, families and kids made it a relaxed atmosphere. Radio music was relaxed and one of the owners jumped in to clear tables and talk to patrons. A recommended place to dine! read more
