My wife and I had dinner here are last night of 7 in and around glacier. I started with cup of gumbo very good served with bread. My wife had spicy chicken tenders hard to mess them up and they are spicy. I had bison gyro which had plenty of meat nice serving but overall just ok. The bar has great mixed cocktails and local beer on tap. Deserts cheesecake bites not very good might have been little old picked up some refrigerator taste the macaroons were excellent. This was a great find while we were on vacation in Glacier. Sweet little cabin that is elegantly beautiful on the inside. I had the awesome bison gyro, which was delicious with no gamy taste. My group had the trout sandwich with yummy sauce and 2 vegetable gyros (1 with gluten free pita). The drinks were imaginative and tasty as well. Nice restaurant and really good food. The drinks are interesting and a bit mixed in quality. Had a huckleberry drink that was similar to yogurt. The food was unique for the area. We LOVED this place. The menu is limited but everything we had was delicious! They have a rotating meatball special and empanada special each day. The day we went, it was a Thanksgiving meatball and Cuban pork empanada. Both were lovely, but the meatball was out of this world good! I'm going to try to make them at home. After spending the day at Glacier we saw this cute restaurant. After reading reviews it seemed to be exactly what we needed. Food was just average nothing special. Girls working the front were very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was cute and quaint but there was about 6 flies against the window we were sitting at that just ruined it. Discovered Josephine's while saying at a nearby lodging. Didn't care for the atmosphere. The greeter was not exactly personable in telling us to order our food and drink at the bar and where to pick up our silverware. The bison gyro was filling, but I wasn't a fan of the over-seasoned meat. The Montana gumbo was thick, but lacked a good rue that I look for in anything gumbo. The best part of the evening was the Shady IPA on tap. We like a good New England IPA and were pleasantly surprised by how very good this one was! read more

Great place to stop on your way back from West Glacier park entrance. Less than 10 minutes down the road. I got an order of the poutine potatoes and it was plenty enough to fill both my wife and I's stomachs. Also, we went on a Monday during happy hour(4-6) and got the $5 Montana mule made with local spirits. It was very good. There is a whiskey distillery next door, and use many of their liquers. What a killer find in Montana! I came here for lunch while on vacation with the family and everyone loved their meals! We started with the fried green tomatoes and they were stellar, great flavor, awesome sauce and a fantastic crunch with just a small amount of breading! I ordered the Smoked Trout Cake as my entree and they were easily able to accommodate my dietary requests and made more of a salad for me, rather than a po' boy. The trout cake was perfectly seasoned and I honestly didn't miss the bread at all! Other entrees ordered were the bison gyro and the prime rib sandwich both of which were devoured! Cute place with friendly staff. Food was not good. What they call gumbo is not gumbo; more like a tomato stew (roux not dark enough). It was barely touched. "Fried chicken" is just near-meatless chicken fingers smothered in sauce. Also barely eaten. Hummus was hummus-no better than store bought. Nice and casual, good food, many many steps up from food inside Glacier National Park. You order at the counter, but this place has a lot more class than most fast casual spots. The folks are friendly and warm, the food is great, and it's all well worth leaving the park to eat here. The BBQ buttermilk fried chicken (a "starter") was a meal in itself, with three good sized filets, doused in a sweet BBQ sauce and served with a nice fresh slaw. The smoked trout po' boy was also terrific, with flaky trout and a great baguette-style bun (key to any po' boy). Definitely worth driving to Coram (just 7 miles from the West Glacier entrance) for dinner. Josephine's is also kid-friendly, and has outdoor seating if you want more fresh air after a day at GNP. read more
