ProModeling earned our business through their strong reputation and high ratings -- but what truly won us over was the trust we built through personal, intelligent interactions with their team: project manager Alexandra Asaftei, designer Andrea Estalayo, and construction foreman Christian Mendoza. Anyone who has worked with contractors knows the anxiety of wondering whether things will be done right and on time. From our very first conversations, that anxiety was gone. Alexandra was friendly, organized, and thorough in explaining their entire process. Andrea used visualization technology to help us explore different textures, colors, and finishes, making it easy to imagine what our small space could become. Once we felt confident in the design, we gave the green light -- and the project moved forward without a hitch. From demolition to completion, the team was skilled, efficient, and professional. Christian went above and beyond to ensure everything met our satisfaction, and his attention to detail helped the project sail smoothly through the permitting process. Every aspect of the remodel -- electrical, plumbing, waterproofing, and tiling -- was handled expertly and on schedule. We couldn't be happier with the result or the experience.

5-Star Review for ProModeling…read more I hired ProModeling and Guy, the owner, to help me convert the lower level of my home into a professional office space where I can meet with clients. I originally considered building an ADU in my backyard, but after deciding that the cost was too high for now, the team helped me pivot seamlessly to improving my existing space instead. They completed minor electrical and plumbing updates to the bathroom off the office, and they also remodeled the entrance to make it more welcoming and accessible for in-person clients. Throughout the entire process, they were timely, responsive, easy to communicate with, and stayed within the estimated budget--which I really appreciated. The finished space feels polished, functional, and exactly what I hoped for. If I ever decide to move forward with the ADU in the future, I will absolutely be hiring ProModeling

Westwind Builders and Electric, Inc was great from start to finish. The owner, Mike, met with us…read moreto discuss what we wanted to accomplish with the addition and remodel of our home. And then, at no charge to us, he scheduled a second meeting and he brought with him an Architect. She was so helpful! Between Mike and the Architect all of our questions about structural integrity, expansion, wall changes, design, and modern efficiencies were answered. We met with 4 different contractors before we selected Westwind Builders and Electric, inc. Mike was the only contractor to schedule a 2nd meeting and to bring and Architect with him. He was also the only contractor to give us a 4 page itemized estimate for our addition and remodel project. Westwinds employees are professional, reliable and conscientious. Our project took several months and the work crew, Ramone, Jeff and Ernesto, became like family to us. They are all very skilled and knowledgeable carpenters. Everyday they updated us on the tasks being worked on and the upcoming work to be done. Throughout the project, Mike maintained daily communications with his staff and also personally visited our project regularly. And Mike is so easy to work with when making any changes. And he didn't add any "hidden Change Order fees" like some other contractors had in their contracts. Because you start with a complete line item estimate, it made it so easy to manage our budget, that we actually finished the project under the original estimate! We are so happy with our new addition and remodel! Westwind Builders and Electric, Inc should be your choice if you want the best! Luann & Jamie

I contacted Natan from Northwest Builders and Renovations in Walnut Creek to get a bid on a kitchen…read moreremodel project. I chose his company over the other one that bid the project because Natan gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing, especially for the part of the project that involved a load bearing wall. He is a hell of a salesman. He agreed that they could provide everything the other company had bid but this was not the case. When we met for the bid, Natan assured me that my kitchen remodel project would take two weeks and that the cost was firm. He told me I could have any cabinet finish and quartz I wanted. I even showed him a sample of what I wanted the cabinets to look like and he agreed. Once it was time to order the cabinets it turned out I only actually had a choice of 7 cabinet finishes and none of them were like what I had showed him. For context, both the other contractor I talked to and Home Depot had samples of the finish I wanted so it wasn't like I had chosen something outlandish. Timeline: They demolished my kitchen on May 11th and work was finally completed 6 weeks later. I would not have proceeded if I had known it would take that long. My kitchen, laundry, living room and garage were unusable the entire time. There were also boxes and other debris all over my deck as well as my dishwasher sitting out on the deck uncovered. I got up in the middle of the night when it rained to cover it. There were many days when no one showed up and one time when no one showed up for 9 days straight. I begged him to keep the project going but he told me they couldn't because the countertop was taking so long to cut. That turned out not to be true. At the end of the 9 days the quartz cutter came to measure the counters and told me they had only just received the quartz and would not start cutting it for 2 days. Besides, there was plenty of other work like putting on the cabinet doors and finishing the laundry area that they could have been doing while waiting for the countertops. That is when I stopped trusting what I was being told. Cost: I agreed to pay an additional $2000 for an additional slab of quartz because I didn't like the plain grey countertops they wanted to use. It ended up to be more than was needed for my project so Natan suggested that I pay an additional $2000 to install the quartz all of the way up to the bottom of the cabinets instead of a 4" backsplash. I declined. He did it anyway and did not charge me. I had to pay an additional $4200 to replace the kitchen floor. When he quoted the project we agreed it did not need to be replaced because I had just replaced it 3 years earlier. It got hacked up when the bottom cabinets were installed and a patch job would have looked awful so it needed to be replaced. Communication: Communication was really poor. I had no idea what was going on or when anyone was actually going to show up to work on the project. No one told me they were proceeding with the white cabinets and grey countertops until I asked when I could pick the cabinet finish and quartz. They encountered a problem when opening up a wall but didn't discuss it with me until I asked 5 weeks later and it turned out that they couldn't do what we had agreed. Project Management: Natan said that either he or his project manager would be onsite every day to supervise the work and ensure it was done correctly. Neither one of them was ever there when the workers were so I basically had to make sure things were getting done. Natan kept asking what was left to be done. Had they come, I believe many of the issues could have been avoided. His crew clearly needed guidance. Natan had promised that his team would be on site to receive delivery of the cabinets on 5/14/2026. They were not. I was unable to be there so had to have a neighbor come and receive the delivery. Good thing I have Google Translate because that's what I needed to talk to his workers. Quality: The main issue was everything being installed backwards. My washer dryer hookups were installed backwards. The HVAC control was installed backwards and I had to pay an HVAC tech to come fix it. My dishwasher was hooked up backwards and spewed into my sink when it emptied but Natan refused to have someone come fix it so I had to pay a plumber to come fix it. Garbage disposal was also incorrectly installed. The kitchen was painted a different color and you can see the old color half way down beside the refrigerator and beside the dishwasher. The baseboards were just hacked off at the end rather than being joined at an angle and exposed the raw wood and some are flat and others molded so look like scraps were used. There's more but you get the idea. In the end, my kitchen is beautiful and if they worked the way they did the final week when they wanted me to sign off on the project and pay them it actually could have been done in the 2 weeks that he promised.

They provided an address that could not be used for check delivery, delaying payment. Despite my repeated explanations and updates, the vendor threatened to remove the motor. The manager I contacted was rude and offered no meaningful help. We paid for a warranty, yet our garage has been left open for months, creating a serious security concern. Their threats made me worry about possible interference with the equipment, although I cannot confirm that occurred. The poor communication, unexpected expense, threats, and unresolved problems made this company extremely difficult to work with. In my experience, collecting money took priority over customer service.

Ron and Rob did our kitchen and family room remodel about a year ago and did an excellent job…read more This was our first house and my wife and I were hesitant about the whole process but Ron was always very patient about everything we asked and walked us through everything that needed to happen. After demolition/construction started, Oscar, Robbie, Eric, and that white guy that talks 24/7 whose name I forget (but still works while talking!) were fantastic. One thing that I couldn't get over was how clean they were. The first day that they started, I remember I came home, the entire kitchen was demolished to the studs, but all of their tools and equipment were in a corner and the floor was as clean as it could've been. I remember thinking "WTF...are they stopping for the week? Why did they put everything away like that?" But nope...that just how they work. Cleaning up like that every single day. Anyways, great work.

Out of the companies that responded through Yelp, he came across as one of the most professional and serious about understanding the project rather than simply giving a quick estimate. He replied quickly to my questions through Yelp and was able to come out in a very reasonable timeframe to evaluate the work and discuss ideas in person. We hired Moe and the Optivest Build team for a decorative pergola/faux balcony repair and replacement project involving redwood, exterior trim work, stucco work, door jamb and casing repairs, sealing, and painting. The contract process was straightforward and I appreciated the flexibility and payment structure based on project milestones rather than everything being front-loaded. After Moe's initial site visit and evaluation, it became clear that a more comprehensive rebuild approach for most of the structure made more sense than piecemeal repairs. Moe explained the long-term benefit of rebuilding the deteriorated portions together rather than replacing isolated components now and potentially dealing with additional mobilization and repair costs again a few years later. I appreciated that he was not simply replacing wood, but also improving areas where the original design appeared to contribute to moisture issues. As the project progressed and portions were opened up, some additional weather and age-related deterioration was uncovered, which led to a few adjustments and additional repair steps along the way. Moe worked with me through options for addressing things as they were discovered and helped walk me through the process and next steps, which reduced some of the stress and uncertainty that can come with larger exterior repair projects. What stood out to me was that Moe stayed involved throughout the project, communicated with me consistently, personally came by to check on things, and had his project manager and crew return when touch-up or punch-list items needed attention. Even as the scope evolved, Moe stayed engaged throughout the project and continued working through follow-up, touch-up, and close-out items professionally. The crew was always polite and respectful of our property, worked hard throughout the project, and the project was fully cleaned up and closed out professionally at the end. No construction project is completely stress-free, but I appreciated that concerns were addressed and that the team worked to make things right when needed. In the end, the pergola turned out looking great, as did the additional trim, stucco, and repair work completed throughout the project. We are happy with the final result and would feel comfortable recommending Moe and Optivest Build to others looking for a responsive and professional contractor. Grateful to Moe and his crew for their job well done.
