Went here on a Double Date for the Distant Worlds; Music from final Fantasy, with vision issues I couldn't see the screen so I had to use my phone!. I didn't understand anything the guys were talking about because I'm not a gamer in this Era!. The Happ was absolutely beautiful, the layout was put together very well, comfortable seats like your knees weren't up in someone's back!. The cushioning was comfortable, The staff from start to finish was Very helpful since I had my cane!. A lady that worked there even came to check on me to make sure I didn't have to use the bathroom so she could guide me. On the ceiling it reminded me of bubbles! It was cool , the lights over the screen made it so pretty!... The Visuals and the musical instruments played throughout was sooo calming I almost fell asleep!! . I had a Great time!

A week or two ago, I attended the first of six Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) concerts that I will attend in the 2022-2023 season! I went with a friend for a truly special concert - Bernstein's Kaddish Symphony. The concert was wonderful, and the venue was great. It's walkable to several restaurants and bars. There are parking lots nearby too, but we had parked closer to dinner. Convenient overall! The BSO has a full season of classical music, jazz and pop concerts, and fusion events (in December, we're going to watch The Godfather on a big screen while the BSO plays the score live!!!). Love supporting our local orchestra, and I can't wait to return in December. If you're interested in classical music, check it out. Special things happen at the Meyerhoff.

I came here for the first time with my bf having impulsively bought tickets a month ago. I figured my seats wouldn't be that great because they weren't on the first level. Turns out this building is so well designed that any seat in the house makes for a great show! It was the 40th anniversary of this building's creation, so they had the performance as well as videos about how the building was created AND there were 2 free drinks and a snack/dessert area after the show! I was very impressed and felt like that made the price of my tickets very reasonable. The cherry on top was seeing Ledisi perform. What a great time!

My husband and I came here on a Friday night to see Ron White, a comedian. It was a smaller venue that holds about 2,400. They have a lounge area on the upper level and some round tables on the lower level. For the opening act, we couldn't hear very well. My husband said it would have been better if they could turn the volume of the speakers up. Unfortunately our experience was diminished due to a group of older, obnoxious men sitting behind us who were inconsiderate. One fella kept kicking the back of our seats and talking very loudly. That pretty much ruined my whole experience. We actually left before the show ended. On our way out, an employee asked about the show and I shared my bad experience. She said next time I could ask to be moved to different seats. Wished I had known this.

A world class venue for the BSO. Plenty of on street parking after 6pm. Also a garage. A few restaurants walking distance for pre show bite.,

We came for a Backstage Tour of the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall sponsored by Doors Open Baltimore. We started with a brief history in the lobby. The Meyerhoff opened in 1982 with a seating capacity of 2,443. It is, of course, the home of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. It is named for Joseph Meyerhoff, a Ukrainian-Jewish, Baltimore businessman, philanthropist, and arts patron who served as president of the Baltimore Symphony. We were pleased to learn that the oval shaped structure was designed by an Italian, Pietro Belluschi, along with Jung/Brannen Associates. The hall was designed to fit into the footprint of the surrounding streets. It is oval or egg shaped. Rebecca Cain, Senior Director of Operations, then led us to see the backstage; explaining all the way what we were seeing. On either side of the stage are rooms used by the musicians before, during and after their performances. You move from one room to another along a curved corridor to the other side. We were able to see the Conductor's Room and then go on stage. It is really interesting to look at the auditorium from the stage. She explained all the workings of the stage and how they can make it larger or smaller depending on their needs and how pianos are raised and lowered. From here, you really get a clear understanding that this is not a square building, but a building with lots of curves that only serve to enhance the superior sound in the hall. We then were taken thru the Zamoiski Room, so called Green Room (that is really not green) and back out to the lobby. The tour was very nice, but we were disappointed. We thought we would be seeing more than what we did.

Straight No Chaser from the Terrace (Upper Tier). It was a little tough to see but everything sounded great in this 2,400 seat concert hall

Bottom Line: A lovely place in Baltimore to listen to music. The Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall is home to the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra but there are plenty of other musical acts to see, and better yet, hear here. Although the hall, built in the early 1980s and renovated in 2001, looks a little dated, it is a very nice venue as its clean, well maintained and has a friendly staff. Perhaps most importantly, this curvy building has great acoustics. The ceiling has round disks on it that look like Tylenol but actually help reflect the sound from the stage. Attending a concert at the Meyerhoff is convenient as there are two parking garages nearby that make the walk to the hall less than a block. It costs $12 to park. Of course after the show there will be a long line of cars to get out of the garage so you can skip the line and head to Ryleigh's Oyster right in front of the Hall to grab a late night bite or night cap. The parking garage stays open for several hours after nighttime shows. In advance of shows and during intermissions, drinks may be purchased in the lobby and you can even take them into the auditorium with you.

    Gorgeous venue!

They don't recommend for kids/teens, because people are joking and talking ish and some of the improv could take a spicy turn at any moment. The chef and the actors walk around to the tables and introduce themselves. People come here to let out a laugh and unwind. The Food: Delicious! The crab cake sandwich was big/fresh all lumps with crispy hot fries that did not disappoint. The package comes with several options, from homestyle meat loaf to Mediterranean salad with chicken stuffed pita that my friend said was really good. You get 2 courses and a non-alcohol beverage. Dessert was good, a dark fudge cake with strawberries and whipped cream, enjoyable. The Drinks: The 2 martini's I had weren't blended well. I would stick with wine or something like a rum & coke. The Storyline: Creative and funny, about a dating show where the two contestants need to stay together for 3 years to get the million-dollar jackpot. Only issue, there's a love triangle. So, you can imagine who all had motives to secure the bag. They bring the audience into the story with question prompts and even had me in the hot seat for questioning by a detective. So hilarious! Looking for something different to do and you feel like meeting people over good food and theater, THIS IS IT!

The show was full of humor and some double-entendres. The restaurant was a little chilly so where something a little heavier or bring a coat. Best 3.5 hours I've spent in a while and totally worth the ticket price. The whole show takes place in and around the diners making for an up close and personal experience. While scouring for a team building event for work, we decided to reach out to this company. Their website is forthcoming with a ton of information, but they were helpful on the backend of things. Purchasing tickets was easy, and it's great that tickets were available until the day of the event. I have never been to one of these things before but was kind of exciting. I have heard that it can be cheesy or campy, but I'm up for the camp. Who doesn't love dinner and a show? We had a large group, around 40 people or so and with prior warning they were able to make it work where our whole group sat in a designated area. That also kind of played into the whole way this played out. Before you come here they will send you an email with information on how to proceed. You will get confirmation numbers after you select your meal. Chicken, fish, or vegetarian are your choices. They also tell you that the actors will be intermingled throughout the crowd. Having four tables taken up by your group cuts down on who the actors are and helps you out in the end. The show is entertaining. I laughed a few times to the point where I had heads turn my way. The actors were spot on for their script and at the end of each act, which you should pay attention to, you are given a QR code to go through the clues. As the show is going on you are treated to a meal. But it is not obviously the best selection of food. As this is being hosted at a hotel, you are eating hotel food that you might find if you attended a banquet at said hotel. It fits the bill for dinner and a movie, but otherwise, nothing to write home about. Back to the show portion. I forgot to mention that you have a mingling session at the start. You are encouraged to go around the room and network to see if you can get any information on who you might think are the actors before you really know they are an actor. At the end, you get to write down your answers to see if you are right. You most likely will be right, but a majority of the room will probably be right as well. The thing I didn't like about it was that even though you might have the right answer, you most likely will not get picked as the winner at the end of the night. You will most definitely see that the winner will have been sitting at the table with the 'whodunnit' all along. It isn't that bad of a night. It is a great time to be had. You are paying for dinner and a show and that they deliver on. The actors are hilarious, and when they need to attend to business they attend to business. We had one person who needed a vegan option and they pulled through for us at the last minute. I really appreciated that.

Continuing my alphabet series…read moreonto the letter I representing prior to 2018 is I is for iPic theater and also the 2014 movie, Interstellar! I've been here twice in November 2014 & November 2023. Funny both times were in the month of November, but 9 years apart. November 2014: I was living in northern VA, and I received free tickets to see Interstellar as this theater had recently opened. My impression in 2014 and still holds true today is that this is the nicest theater I had ever been to. Some theaters have reclining seats, but these are large and you get a blanket if you want. There were some good food options, granted overpriced for what you got, were tasty. I brought a date for those movie showing and paid for our food. I got a burger, and she got a flatbread pizza. Burger was good as I recall. 2017 to coming back here in November 2023: I moved to Maryland in 2017, Wheaton 2017-2020, so wasn't too far from Pike & Rose and did go there sometimes. However, in 2018 I became an AMC A-Lister, so I just go there unless there's a free advanced screening or specific movie I really want to see at Egyptian Cinemark or a Regal that isn't at AMC. In November 2023, iPic held an advanced screening of the Netflix movie, Leave the World Behind. I had 4 tickets, invited several friends. There was a woman I liked who had agreed to go initially, but had an issue with someone else who had promptly responded she would go. Incidentally, the woman who I liked became my girlfriend in February 2024, so it worked out well. Shortly after that she buried the hatchet with that mutual friend. As for the movie screening, while not as great as Interstellar, it was still the same positive experience I remembered from 9 years earlier. Things were chaotic as we were trying to get the food & drink, which was included, but we had to check on the food during the middle of the movie, and I missed the very beginning of the movie as a lot of people did. There was quite a bit of time beforehand, but even with the delays occurring, they should've started the movie late unless there was some late movie showing in that particular theater at 10 PM or something. In summary, this is a very nice theater in spite of a couple of flaws.

It has really gone down hill. There was nothing good or redeeming about our experience. Let's start with the ludicrous check in process. You pre-purchase your tickets and they give you an Apple wallet pass. When you get off the elevator there is a clear path to the theaters with a person standing at a podium. However, don't you dare go directly to this person. You need to go check in at the ticket booth so they can give you paper tickets. Then you go back to the podium to show them the paper tickets and go to your theater. It wouldn't be that annoying if every single person didn't do this unnecessary round trip. I watched six families lug their children up and back while standing there. Put up a sign. State this absurd process in the email. Next the service. They include a required 18% gratuity on the bill. For good reason. They would have gotten none if it was discretionary. We were in our seats fifteen minutes before the movie start. Nobody took our order until fifteen minutes into the movie. Food didn't show up until two thirds of the way through the movie. Why spend several hundred dollars to take your kids to dinner and a movie if you don't get dinner and a movie. The people two seats over never got their food. The check never came. I had to ask for the check after the lights were on and credits over. Super annoying when sitting there with three kids under 7. Now the food, barely edible is being generous. It tasted like every item had been submerged in a bucket of grease before, during, and after cooking. I now know what the penguins at an oil spill feel like. Horrible. For the price point service should be good, food decent, and experience frictionless. Ipic bethesda failed in all respects.

The lasagna came with a couple of very nice dinner rolls and was pretty tasty. The salmon was very well done and came with some roasted potatoes. Also pretty good. There was a risotto dish that wasn't bad but wasn't great just okay. Everyone also gets a small very basic salad. For dessert they had a very nice Bundt cake, some strawberry cheesecake, and Pondoro. All were very good. Now, for the show itself. I have been to many Community Theaters and I don't think I've ever seen Talent like this one before. They really were top notch. Very talented group. The actual building itself is a little rundown, especially the carpeting. I would definitely recommend this to other people. It's a high quality show with pretty good food recognizing the limits of what they can do with the number of people with their serving on a stagwood schedule. The service was friendly throughout
