Almost an hour, like time itself was in the waiting room with me, equally stuck. Here's the kicker: if YOU'RE late, they might not see you. But apparently the clock only runs one way here. What happens when the office is habitually late? Asking for a friend (the friend is me, still waiting). A little mutual respect for patients' time would go a long way. Punctuality shouldn't be a one-sided rule. Never saw the doctor. Had life going and couldn't wait...

Their ipads records everything and it will transcribe every single minutia detail in your medical history including concerns or questions you have and will write things down without actually formally diagnosing you. Their lab test for hormones is not only inaccurate but they charge you "preferential cash" for it, when you can get your own full hormones panel at quest for $100+ less! My testosterone levels were imcredibly low and the doctor dismissed it as perimenopause without blinking. When I brought my results to an actual OBGYN, it took him 2 seconds to see the test was done incorrectly as the results showed the hormone levels of a DEAD person.... This can have serious consequences if you start things like testosterone / hormone therapy (when not even needed!) and will come back to bite when you are looking for life insurance and you will have to do unnecessary follow-ups to get coverage. Compassion and empathy are not the way of the practice - this is a pure factory money grab experience. Try the new baptist health primary care office for professionalism and association with an actual hospital instead of a place that pushes their tests, vitamins etc..

I had an…read moreappointment I was told by the receptionist I don't need to bring my prescription as she was getting it from my primary care physician. I waited three weeks and when I arrived, she told me I don't have the prescription you should go home. I was baffled. I asked why she couldn't call the doctor and get it faxed and she said we don't do that. I called my own doctor and asked them to fax it after an hour. I walked out. The receptionist chased me out to the parking lot and asked me if I wanted to reschedule? I said why would I reschedule when I can't get into my original appointment. Two weeks went by and I had a friend of mine called and they said they received the prescription, but nobody advised me about it. I tried to make an appointment and she said I didn't get my discharge papers from my former Physical Therapist. She never mentioned that when I was waiting for an hour the first time I went. Two weeks later she finally gets. The discharge letter tells me to come the day after Christmas at 9 AM. I go at 8:45 and I was told it was closed because it's the day after Christmas. I was infuriated so I went back later that day to get all my paperwork so I could go somewhere else. She had the nerve to tell me that I missed my appointment at 10 that day. I don't know what is wrong with her or why they have somebody so stupid working the front desk, but I will never recommend or advise anybody to go to that facility. Because of this girl, I am six weeks without any physical therapy for a broken femur. If this is the way she treats people on a walker she shouldn't be working in that physical therapy field because she has no compassion whatsoever.

This place is more interested in grabbing as much money from you as possible rather than actually practicing medicine. The physical therapy is also subpar. I have learned that many injuries are simply due to weakness and, for me, overtraining, but he gives me the guidance and care I need so I can continue to train safely. It's also pretty easy to get an appointment when you want. On the other hand, I do find his front desk staff to be aloof and cold, and often I have to wait a very long time to be seen, but it's par for the course at so many medical practices, unfortunately.

My experience with Dr. Gelb was extremely disappointing. At my first surgical consultation, Dr…read more Gelb clearly stated that I needed knee surgery for a complex medial meniscus tear shown on my MRI. However, because of a burn injury on my knee, he advised that I complete physical therapy first and return once the skin had healed. When I returned for follow-up -- just a few weeks later and still in significant pain -- he abruptly told me that my knee was "fine" and completely dismissed my symptoms. The new note omitted all mention of the meniscus tear and the prior surgical plan, even though the second MRI (done within six weeks) showed the same tear and bone edema. Since that visit, I have seen multiple orthopedic surgeons, all of whom confirmed that surgery is needed. I left Dr. Gelb's office feeling dismissed, unheard, and deeply frustrated by the lack of honesty and continuity in my care. Patients deserve to have their pain and imaging findings acknowledged and documented accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen in my experience with this provider.
