So helpful and went above and beyond when he noticed other things that could be repaired. He was really kind and friendly. I highly recommend him. He was only supposed to do the shower head, vent, and shower handle and front door lock. He cleaned the vent, regrouted the kitchen sink, and fixed the front door knob as well with no complaints. I'll definitely be calling him again in the future. read more

We hired Jose to fix some of the grout in our tile floor in our bathroom. Jose was very responsive and professional. It's really hard in San Francisco to assess how much things should cost. It often feels like providers charge as much as possible. Jose was honest about our options and the pros/cons of going the cheaper route. He was very affordable. We will definitely hire him again. read more

I had Jose come and fix my side door on a Saturday. He was quick to respond and fixed it quickly. I contacted him again today to get a quote for my fence work and he got back to me right away. He sent Mario and company and they went to purchase the materials and got right to work. The fence work was not rushed, but professionally measured and cut. And they worked in pouring rain because I wanted it done ASAP. Amazing team and high quality work and reasonable price. I will be contacting them for future projects. read more

Amazing! I struck a gold mine when I decided to choose Jose Handyman to repair, install, and catch up on the many jobs and tasks that needed to be done around my dad's house. It's so difficult these days to find someone who is not only talented, but also takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and delivers pure quality. We needed our balcony, back stairs, posts, and rails replaced, as well as the flooring and side panels on the front stairs, ceiling panels, and a wall repaired. Every single job was done to perfection. We were so impressed that we've now added our bathroom to the list, to fix the mess left by another contractor years ago (mostly a paint job). I'm already planning to have our kitchen cabinets and linoleum replaced or redone next year--and Jose Handyman will absolutely be my go-to team. They are professional, honest, friendly, and just fantastic guys. I truly appreciate them and the work they've done, and I will refer them to anyone and everyone. Fantastic & awesome job, guys. Thank you! read more

Just used his services again, for fourth time. As always, great job. This guy is honest and hardworking. He knows a lot about home repairs and will follow your wishes, but trust his judgment. Water was leaking into my garage from a balcony above. I sent a request for a quote to another company on a Thursday morning. They couldn't send anyone out until the following Tuesday and were going to charge $85 just to provide an estimate! I then contacted Jose HandyMan Services late afternoon on the same day. Mario came out the next day and I had a free estimate later than evening. Mario then came back on Saturday to fix the leak. The cost was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them, and will call them again when I need repairs. read more

I am a local tile contractor here in the city. One day I needed some extra guys out on a job and was referred to Jose. Not only did he do tile and was a huge help, he also said he did electrical and some plumbing. Which was super helpful as I had a heating mat to set up as well as some shower fixtures. At the end of the job the client needed some drywall installed in another room. Jose said he knew how and had it installed and mudded and painted with in acouple days! He's fast, prompt, honest and knowledgeable. I cant say enough about him! 5 Stars all the way!!! Hire him today! You wont be sorry! Dayla Soul Elemental Tile Designs read more

Excpetional work by Mario - unequivocal recommendation -

I've used Jose for two major reno projects, my kitchen and bathroom. I'm a pretty handy guy, so I was an acting GC for these. Jose was my go-to-guy to do a lot of work. He is extremely forthright in what he can, and can't do. His team is super friendly, and will put in the hours needed to get stuff done. Reno #1: Kitchen. Used Jose's team for: Demo, removing a window, reshaping a door frame, moving a gas line, removing a patch of tile and install hardwood, patching up the dry wall and take a wall down to reveal a brick wall. Reno #2: Bathroom Used Jose's team for: Demo to the studs, taking down a wall that separated a toilet room from the bath/sink room, shifted the exhaust vent, hardibacked / drywalled the bathroom after plumbing (plumbing was done by someone else), closed out an existing door and window, and tiled 3 walls and floor. Consistent themes with Jose: - always on time. Comes a few minutes early, if anything. - always completes on time. If you have an urgency or timeline, he delivers on his word. - his team is super friendly, and they do a great job. See the pics. - is able to consistently hand over any receipts for the things he has to buy. Major pluses: - I had a showerglass installer who drilled through a pipe, and we had a major leak in our neighbors home. Big time issue! We turned off the water in our home, and we had to break the tile / wall to get to the pipe. Jose changed his schedule to ensure he came the next day to remove the tiles (our tiles are 4 feet wide) and allowed the plumber to fix the issue. - I had some extra handiwork I wanted to do, and he gladly gave me his air gun and miter saw for free. It helped!! read more

Honestly, five stars doesn't come CLOSE to doing this guy justice. He is absolutely AMAZING. I had what I thought was a huge problem with some outside lights. I called Jose. He said he could come by the following day. (He was early.) He and his partner diagnosed the problem in about 15 minutes. It was much simpler than I'd feared, but required some replacement parts. He took off to pick up what I needed, came back quickly, and in less than two hours from the time he showed up ... he was done. And everything worked perfectly. This is the second time I have called Jose. The first was for a leak. Again, Jose diagnosed the problem, repaired it in 30 minutes and was done. Hasn't leaked at all since then. He is, hands down, the best 'jack of all trades' I have ever come across. I give him my absolute HIGHEST recommendation. read more
