He is professional, detail-oriented, and has a great sense of humor. The quote comprehensive and easy to understand, and there were no surprises at any point during the process. The team arrived on time every morning. Their work is meticulous from start to finish. They began by masking off all the surfaces that would not be painted with paper and plastic protection. They took great care of our furniture, moving and covering it carefully. They patched all the cracks and imperfections in our drywall to create a perfectly smooth surface. Then it was time to prime and paint. Our team was highly efficient--I was surprised by how quickly they were able to complete the job without cutting corners or otherwise sacrificing quality. We ended up not liking one of the colors we had chosen, and Junior was able to get the team back the next day to re-paint that room. The finished walls are beautiful. I rarely write reviews because the value of services provided by contractors is generally low. In…read morethis case, it was an exact opposite, here's why. Junior came to scope the work and give us a very fair quote. The quote was comprehensive, detailed (not just a hand waving, and all the change orders are added later) and all work was done according to plan. When I asked Junior or his team about the process, they clearly articulated why they were doing something and then, the process in which they would solve the problem. Basic, easy to understand terms -- human to human. Just based on the questions you'll ask them, they will demonstrate their knowledge and capabilities of painting. Junior and his team are not allergic to work, their due diligence is impressive. They will take all the care and necessary steps to ensure your paint job is like one that they would provide to their own family. Our project was extremely difficult as painting had been neglected, many of the work prior to painting included flashing replacement, dry rot wood repair and even one fun hurdle, painting a large side wall that was on the other side of a fence in which the neighbor has left on an extensive vacation. Despite all the hurdles thrown at them, they completed all the work happily and without complaints. Another key fact is respect. They treated my mom (it was her home), with such great respect like she was their own grandmother. Furthermore, my mom is a neat freak and they protected everything -- no dust, no paint chips, no splatters anywhere. The one thing I seek in all contractors is the ability to empathize with their customers. junior and his team has this in spades. They are not only there to do a phenomenal job, they genuinely care about their customers -- kind, empathetic, respectful. Mendez Professional Painting is the only company I'll use for a long time. Thank you Junior!
