It's a massive and messy job, and I was still living on one bedroom while they did it. Communication with Christian was excellent. He made sure to set expectations up front (especially with me living there) and to regularly check in with updates. If there were any changes to the timeline, Christian was quick to let me know. Having worked with many sub-contractors, close communication is key to success in any project. The results speak for themselves. Marcos crushed it. The walls look beautiful. We've had other sub-contractors out for more work, and they each have complemented the walls. And it makes the entire place look cleaner and more modern. Additionally I added on some work while the team was here. Christian was accommodating and provided very fair pricing for the additional work. And even touched up some of the areas another contractor had roughed up. I greatly appreciate the flexibility and help. Like I said when I started, I highly recommend A1.

And I do mean "horribly textured"--when we bought the house, we joked that the walls in our living room and entryway looked like a lava flow. Ron's team took several days to complete the project. They arrived on time every morning, took great care to protect our floors and furniture, and transformed those large, ugly surfaces into smooth, clean walls that looked like they had always been that way. The quality of their work was excellent, and they clearly took pride in getting the details right. They were professional, careful, personable, and efficient throughout the project, and the finished result exceeded our expectations. And when the job was finished, Ron asked one of his associates to repair small area of the wall in our upstairs bathroom--a detail that wasn't even part of the original contract. That work was also top-notch. Ron and his team far exceeded our expectations. We would hire them again in a second, and we would definitely recommend JR Drywall to anyone looking for high-quality drywall work.

In summary, we had a drainage pipe that was leaking, resulting in damaging the drywall it was behind. Ron, within minutes of entering our home, confirmed our suspicions and quickly got to work, starting with the removal of the severely damaged drywall segments followed by the removal of paint. He doesn't do plumbing, but recommended a plumber that he trusted and partnered with over the years. After the pipe was repaired, Ron proceeded to patch up the wall and prep it for painting. His professionalism throughout this multi-day experience was very positive - he shared his thoughts on what happened and why. I appreciated his candor and friendliness. The price we paid for the work was fair and very competitive, something I greatly appreciated.

Roof leaking, windows leaking, wood rot, termite damage. What a mess. Seamus has the skills (and in the case of the roof, the associates) to fix all of these problems. He removed all the rotten wood and essentially rebuilt the front corner of my house, including a decorative wall that was so leaky that its bones had completely rotted away. Then his team re-applied base stucco and let it cure properly before mixing a beautifully colored finishing coat that was perfectly textured. The house looks amazing now. I had been putting my head in the sand for years, ignoring all the growing cracks in the stucco and knowing that water was soaking the bones of my house. I have peace of mind now. Also, as people note below, Seamus is responsive and a good communicator. So important in a contractor. Thanks Seamus.
