If I could give this store a minus rating I would. My wedding was 11/7/2021. Why am I writing this now? Because I saw my suit hanging in the closet and I felt the anger come back. Now because this was a year and a half ago I can't remember the names and honestly after the entire debacle I don't want to allocate any memory for this and would sooner forget the entire ordeal. I went to Jos A Bank in Mount Laurel, NJ and the Cherry Hill,NJ location. The associates were very unprofessional ESPECIALLY in the Cherry HIll location where their attitude was," Sounds like a you problem so you gotta deal with it". The story begins with my wife and I selecting the color and fabric of the suit we wanted for everyone on the grooms side. We selected a black fabric and proceeded to make the necessary arrangements. Group number was assigned and every groomsmen was given instructions and contact information. This was early in the year because I didn't want to feel overwhelmed close to the wedding. So after this selection we were informed shortly there after they didn't have black. Then we were informed they did have black. So far just a minor hassle nothing major. The best man even though the suit was tailored they didn't have his size because he was a bigger guy. So about two weeks before the wedding they were able to find and provide the requested pants. The best part. Sitting in the grooms room getting myself together and my soon to be brother in law walks in the room in a GREY SUIT. For point of reference the entire wedding party is in fall colors. Not heather grey. Not charcoal. A nice bright cheery grey. It was so ridiculous it took me a few minutes to comprehend what had happened. At first he didn't believe me(he was the first one in the room after me). He thought I was teasing him. Until the rest of the groomsmen entered the room. I called the Mt Laurel location panicked. They said basically oh im so sorry it says in the system its supposed to be black so I don't know how that happened. We can offer a partial refund? I am beyond irate at this point. I called my wife so now she was whatever emotion is past irate. Sad part is I quite like their products I have a few of their blazers and suits. But after this experience I would NEVER give this store my patronage and encourage as many people as I can to not waste their time or money either. read more

I love my Jos A Banks suits. I have many, all purchased in the Los Angeles Location, across from the Beverly center (Amazing customer service). Now, as a loyal customer, when an employee doesn't even great you after five minutes even after pointedly making eye contact, it pisses me off. I understand you may be busy, but do like every other person in every other location, " Hello sir, someone will be with you as soon." It goes a really long way. Very dissatisfied with my experience at 12pm this afternoon at Jos A Bank on Centerton Rd, Mt Laurel, NJ. Firstly, I was not greeted by either associate. Secondly, both walked by me twice without so much as a "can I help you", or "have you been helped"? Other customers that came in after me were promptly greeted. So naturally I took the initiative to seek their assistance only to find one associate already pleasantly offering her assistance to a couple that came in 10 minutes after me. So frustrated, I left. I wouldn't spend a penny in that store or any other Jos A. Bank store if this is any indication as to how they treat their customers. I will stick with the good folks at Brooks Brothers, atleast they appreciate my patronage!! read more

Absolutely terrible customer service at this store at 16 Centerton Road, Mt. Laurel, NJ. I have been a staunch customer of Joseph A. Banks for years and bought dozens of great suits from them. However, the service at this location is so abysmal, I cannot in good conscience shop there again. About 2 years ago, I bought 3 signature/signature gold suits from them. The order got screwed up, which delayed delivery for several weeks and required multiple return visits to straighten out. But, the salesman (no longer there) had been helpful and courteous, and the store manager (female, also no longer there, I believe) had been very helpful and apologetic in working it out. I decided to give them another chance and retain my business. I am a busy attorney at a large nearby law firm, so I am buying suits on an ongoing basis as the old ones get worn out. This week, I gave them a chance, dropped in, and inquired when the next sale would be, as I was looking to buy 3-4 suits at once. The sales associate (Isaiah) was nice and let me know that there was a sale this Saturday. I came back today to take advantage of it, only to be told that it wasn't really today. Instead, the salesman (John C.) told me that the sale was really next Tuesday. He didn't know that this is now the 3rd in the last 2 weeks I have been in there asking when the suit sales are, only to be told the day, then show up on the day and be told by different staff that I was lied to and there either is no sale or the suits I was told were covered by it aren't covered. In other words, the folks in this store will not hesitate to jerk you around. Undeterred, I asked if someone could help me pick out the suits I wanted so that I could come back when the sale is in effect and place the order. The salesman John reluctantly agreed, which I was grateful for because the other guy working seemed completely disinterested in helping me. While trying on suits, the guy kept constantly disappearing and telling me that they couldn't do this or couldn't do that with their tailoring. (Apparently, Jos. A Bank's tailors won't touch the shoulders to fix that "overly boxy" look. Ok, fair enough. They're a commercial outfit after all, not specialists. I can always take it somewhere else to get tailored professionally.) But what really turned me off was two things: (1) a serious attitude of indifference and unhelpfulness as though my business was not important to them in the least, and (2) every time I found a suit I really liked, the guy disappeared for another 10 mins only to return and tell me that this one isn't part of the sale. What? It says Signature Gold right on the label?! I thought you literally just told me that all Signature Gold suits will be 60-70% staring Monday?? But I guess that's kind of like when the guy on Thursday (Isaiah) told me that the Traveller/Signature suits would be $199 apiece today, thereby inducing me to waste my Saturday morning by coming here. Honesty counts guys, especially with your repeat customers. Don't jerk us around. The salesman actually said to me, "I can't help you right now. Why don't you come back Tuesday if you have time." It's Saturday. I'm a busy professional. I have time now, not during the week. I was so stunned at his indifference, I replied, "Ok. I get it, man. You are in a service industry though." It was all I could think to say. When I left, I inquired as to who the manager was. When the salesman refused to give a straight answer on that too, I just thanked him and walked out. Not worth arguing or pressing the issue. Maybe I'll write their corporate office a strongly worded letter. I'm still a little baffled at how I was treated. When someone comes in to your store and flat out tells you that they want to spend about $1000 or so on suits, and their experience is so terrible they end up walking out on principle without spending a dime, your store has a major customer service problem, not a minor one. If I treated my clientele like that, I'd be out of business. I work at a major law firm right across Route 38 that has 100 attorneys. Don't they know professionals talk? They didn't even have to sell me on anything. I've been buying Jos. A Banks suits for years. All the guy had to do was stand there while I try on suits and be honest with me about what they cost. This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to write a yelp review of a business. I'm now grabbing lunch at Smashburger on Lenola Road right next to Men's Warehouse (my next stop for the suits). I was warmly greeted when I walked in, and the staff here have asked me if they could get me anything and how my meal was twice since I sat down. I still think Jos. A Banks provides decent quality suits at reasonable prices. I just don't see how I can keep giving my business to that Centerton Road store. I've been in there 2-3 times in the last 2 weeks. It's always different people, they're not respectful of my time, and not a one of them seems to care at all. read more

First of all I was to preface this with the fact that I've never had to get a suit tailored for myself before but it can't go this badly elsewhere. So my brothers and I decided to get our suits here for the wedding. The staff couldn't find my party in the system and spent 30 minutes just trying to find the information on the suit style. Then one of the suits came back in the wrong color and style. Another was the completely wrong size after being tailored and altered. And then I got an a vest instead of a shirt, so then had to go get a shirt just days before the wedding. And when they give you a time to pick it up, it's usually wrong. The note said on the 11th to come back, came in the morning of and the suit wasn't even done being tailored. They said come back later and I did, I've now been waiting here for almost an hour because she's pressing it. Definitely wouldn't use this place again. read more

This store is very poor as far as customer service. When the store has more than 2 people in it, the women (yes, the only woman in the store who was the next customer to be waited on!) are passed over in favor of the male customers roaming the store.I was there to pick up a purchase that was supposed to be in but was not in as initially promised. The salesperson was not helpful - "they should be in from the warehouse" and gave no date as to when they might definitely be available. He actually seemed uninterested as to the whole purchase. I would not use this store or recommend it to anyone. I would not even give it one star, but that is the lowest rating available. I am still waiting for the purchase as of this date and no calls from Jos. Banks. read more

This place is awesome. I found out on a recent Friday morning that my suit pants were missing. I had a very important Christmas party that night which required me to wear a suit. I contacted the store and spoke with Julie. Julie told me to come right in and they would do their best to find me a suit and have it tailored in time for me to pick it up that afternoon. When I arrived at the store, Julie was waiting for me and gave me excellent service with finding a suit and helping me with the proper measurements. I was able to pick the suit up that afternoon at 3 PM. Julie and her tailor really bailed me out. This store now has a lifelong customer. Thank you very much! read more
