This place absolutely sucked, constantly tempted me into buying their stuff when I clearly indicated I was not interested, worst of all they hid many fees in which I wasn't aware of which forced me to pay an extra 100 dollars on top of the 120 dollar rental price. For just a single days use they charged me nearly $250 without even telling me until the last day it was returned back. Never go to this place, it is an upmost ripoff where you can buy a similar far better quality attire for the full purchase instead of a single day rental. Absolutely hate these money scheming owners. If you are looking for formal wear, and are considering Formal Expressions, DO NOT order from them. Not only was the tuxedo in poor condition and measured horribly wrong, the vest was not matched to any of the other tuxedos in the party. When asked to please correct the issue at the first fitting, the manager/owner replied "if the bride has a problem, tell her to call!" I don't know about everyone else, but I came into the store for an early fitting for just this reason. This is the service I get? This is an updated review. All 6 groomsmen, the ring bearer, and the groom (Me) were measured incorrectly. Tuxedo jackets and pants had issues, and especially everyone had issues where our shirts fitting correctly. I had issues with my pants and jacket during both the ceremony and reception, and had to have emergency alterations done. Our rentals ranged from $130 - $170+, and the final resolution they offered was $10 off. Maybe it was a perfect storm of miscommunication, but the result in the groomsmen all having to go out and purchase shirts. Kohls, a retail clothing store, was able to provide shirts that fit where a formalwear specialist was not. "Consider your options when choosing who you get your formalwear from" is my advice. read more

Rented tuxes for three proms this year. The owner was perfect with measurements and color coordinating. No extra fees for cuff links, etc. All the clothing was clean, shoes were nice/no scuffs. Really great and would use again. read more

Went here today and received A+ customer service from Larry. I am in the customer service business and thought Larry did an amazing job juggling six clients and a ringing phone while we were there. Despite being very busy he was very concerned that all of our needs were being met and that out service was not compromised with the business of the store! We walked out with a dashing new outfit that was altered. My wedding was about a month and a half ago in April and at first formal expressions seemed to be the ideal place little did I know they would blow my expectations out of the water with their amazing customer service. The day of the wedding my pants had gotten torn 3 hours before my ceremony, I called immediately with my pant size and measurements and they met me at my wedding venue with new pants within an hour. I was beyond thankful for them not making it a hassle and making mine and my wife's wedding go on without a problem. The owner and his staff are very welcoming and honest as well when it comes to picking out colors and the combinations! I would recommend to anyone! read more

I wasn't very pleased with the customer service here, very unprofessional with the whole experience. I was suggested a wrong color of tux but I trusted them nonetheless, big mistake. When returning the suit the lady snatched it out my hands as if I stole it. I email the owner but he could only apologize for his shop behavior not even bothering to make up for anything. I am surprised that I am the first person to review Formal Expressions. I went to here on 4/26 to rent a tux for my son's Senior Prom. I went here with low expectations since the last time I dealt with tux rental was with Tuxedo Junction, and they are the worst of the worst. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into their business. It was very well lit, plenty of room, and awesome staff. I forget the woman's name that I dealt with, but she was great. I expressed my concerns on how expensive it would be and she led me in the right directions. I was able to get a great looking tux for only $59.99! I was astounded. And to make the deal even better - they were able to ship the tux to my son's school and pick it up once it was over. That is the best service ever. They really take pride with customer service. If I ever need a tux again for any function, I will definitely come back here. I will also recommend to everybody. To the staff: Thank you for exceeding my expectations! read more

What wonderful unhurried service. I didn't expect too much from the outside. I also was a little concerned that the service people were on the young side but I was very very pleased with service and expertise provided. Last minute I called to pay the balance in a tux which my son was going to pick up with a friend. I thought they would be a little cranky as it was "prom pick-up" day but they were very nice about it. 5 stars! read more
