1st time trying out this place and it did not disappoint! We were greeted with a welcome shot which obvi was a plus. Our server was super helpful helping us order. The house agua chilies was recommended and it was honestly so so good ! The ceviche de camarón was also extremely delicious. AND THE DRINKSSS...lets just say they were the best I had in a min. Plus the live músicos just makes it a great spot to have a drink or two and enjoy the vibes and great food !

This place is definitely a vibe. The drinks were great and the food was also top notch. I ordered a flight of the mixed drinks and every flavor was top notch. The service was good and quick. The owner would come out and talk to my table and also recommended food or drinks to try. It's definitely worth a try if you're into micheladas and good seafood

My husband surprised me by bringing our group to this place I'd been wanting to try - what a happy coincidence! While the drinks were absolutely delicious (I can see why this spot is popular). Disappointed to overhear an El Catrín bartender complaining about Jorvan's customers 'taking parking spaces and hurting their business.' Unprofessional to criticize neighboring patrons publicly. That said, still enjoyed Jorvan's offerings despite the uncomfortable moment next door. On a positive note, I'm excited to hear the owner will be opening his own dedicated location soon. Based on the great of cocktails here and music , I have no doubt his new location will thrive. I'll definitely be visiting to try the aguachiles and seasonal drink rotations at the new spot!

This place is amazing!!!! Wonderful food you can't miss he's always posting new foods on his instagram and you guys would have to try it one of the best restaurant in town!!! Micheladas were amazing con Aguachile on top. Definitely coming back on a Saturday. Service was okay. Since it was their opening week. But i know Theyll get better. Very loud atmosphere. Due to the speakers. It was a bit hard to talk. Maybe because we were right next to them. Overall. Great experience.

We went in the morning as soon as it opened and they were really quick with their service and really attentive. Local authentic hispanic spot. If your older than 21 and order drinks , first shot of tamarind smirnoff is on them. We ordered the new fish tacos, and the presentation was beautiful, the salsas were great. The chipotle mayo was so good. I prefer my fish to be fried on the softer side and it was! So tasty. We also ordered the house aguachile. The shrimp tasted fresh and was set on a bed of tostitos salsa verde. And finally the micheladas! My favorite micheladas in san jose! I hear they have live music on the weekends so if you dont like banda i would recommend skipping the live music as it can get loud. But if banda and eating is your thing! Dont miss it. They also recently had a ladys night, i did not go but it looked like a cool concept! Their instagram is really active so dont forget to check it out for the most recent menu updates and event updates/live music updates. canteen/ restaurant vibes, crowd is young hispanics:)

They have such an extensive space to play games and I didn't realize they also have food available here in addition to drinks. We got a sandwich, liquid death and a mocktail! The drinks were refreshing, however, the sandwich was not very good... We played friend sip for 15 minutes or so before transitioning to an improv game. This place is quite busy on a Saturday night and can house several groups of people!

I've been here times innumerable. I was frequenting here back when it was still Forager, and then…read morechanged hands during Covid to what it is today. And after all this time, so little has been done to improve the space, so I have to slam you for your mismanagement of a great venue. Yes, you are creating space for so many niche hobbies. You're creating community for a crowd I resonate with. But goddamn, you're really shooting yourselves in the foot still. Problems that need to be addressed: 1. If you're booked for a private event, you NEED to declare it to the public. Don't make me walk up intending a night with friends, only to be turned away because you found a better way to make money. Like how hard is it to have an instagram, or a website with an events page (you DO, omfg, USE it) and warn folks. I would say only about half of the private bookings are declared currently; which is absolutely pathetic. Imagine how many people you're pissing off aside from me. How do you expect to cultivate customer loyalty this way? 2. Your restroom facilities..... it's like what you find in a derelict stadium from the 60s. My god. It's gross in there. A huge update is needed. But I guess you're holding out hope that facility can be booked by Hollywood for it's next horror-slasher scene. 3. Your bar program. Are you serious? The same cocktails and same EXACT beers on rotation since you first opened years ago. You're in the heart of the beer capital--SJ use to have 20+ breweries until COVID and Gen-X+Alpha killed it. With all these amazing local producers, you do nothing to support them and source beers that people would love to try. The lack of a bar program is abysmal. Forget missing out on pleasing your patrons with amazing choices. Think about how much money you could be making. I look at your space, the amount of traffic you're getting; and all I see is how you utterly dropped the ball. Talk to any restaurateur/entrepreneur, and they'll tell you how massively you're dumping potential profits. Amongst the various communities that frequent your joint, we all openly hate your bar, and wish it could be expanded: both in size to reduce lines during peak hours and more offerings 4. Acoustics. You've done very little to dampen echo in a building with nothing but hard surfaces. There's never truly a sense of comfort since our ears are constantly assaulted. While there are many other issues, these are the most critical that need to be corrected. The amount of people that I've brought here and met randomly always share the same conclusion: this place is cool, but it could be so much better. As courtesy and creating space for communities that need it, I'll remove this review if you at least address half the issues. We all like you. But just do BETTER. You don't even have to do it for us. Trust me, you'll make more money.

It's a a bit small and right next to the corner so you might walk past the sign without realizing it. Food was cheap, the skewered were a tad over cooked but no where near bad or tough. I'd rate the skewered a 3.8/5, we got beef, lamb, and a mushroom one. Garlic fries were tad soggy but they were made fresh with loads of fresh garlic, would bump up the score if they were a bit crunchier 3/5 Onion rings were a little on the harder side but we weren't looking for anything super fancy 3/5 Veggie egg rolls were small but they came with soy sauce and sweet/sour sauce. I want to note that even though most of the food seemed to be premade/ store bought, they sold them for CHEAP and the wine was cheap too with a generous pour. You get what you pay for food wise and the service was great so it was a nice cheap place to grabe a few small bites, drinks and chat before jumping into clubs like temple, lab or splash (just a short walk in each direction) The service was really good and quick! They were nice people and very attentive to my date and I. I would definitely come back again in the middle of a night out in dtsj :) Thank you to skewers and brew for saving our tummies that night!!

I finally got around to trying this brewery out because I saw that they had both an ube AND pandan seasonal beer available! I love that they consistently update their website with the types of beers they have on tap, so that can be useful if you're looking for a specific flavor! They also seem to have a rotating number of varying food trucks and food vendors, so it's great to stay updated on their instagram to know what food they'll be serving! Now onto the brewery itself! I was very surprised to find out that they were in the middle of a neighborhood so it can be kind of challenging to find parking, since it's all street parking. The inside was actually pretty small as well, with a couple of tables outside and some tables inside. However, it was very lively with one of the workers spinning some vinyl! It's honestly a great place to catch up with some friends with good food and even better beer! I ended up going on a day where they had a Filipino food truck, which paired super nicely with the beers we got! We got to try their Ube Illin, which was very vibrant and nutty, as well as their pandan beer called Một, Hai, Ba, Dô! Both were very full-flavored but not super overpowering where you can still taste the aromatics of the beer! TLDR; This place has unique flavors, delicious beer, and is a great place for chill hangouts!
