I came here this morning for a breakfast date with my toddler. We met up with a friend and her toddler. There was enough space for both car seats, our table and two high chairs. Our server was very kind and brought out our food quickly. I think my hash browns were a bit too soaked in oil for my taste but everything else was just fine.

The ambiance is of a quaint cozy feed mill renovated into a restaurant that has an excellent view of the creek. The wait staff seated us promptly and the service was excellent. I had the Breakfast plate 2 with French toast, 2 scrambled eggs, and sausage patties and it was delicious.

Solid place for breakfast. The French toast was good and my partner enjoyed the chicken fried steak.

Chicken fried steak $12 Loads of hash browns, delicious steak, and silky eggs!

Best breakfast in the area, food is absolutely delicious, original recipes, not your average small town breakfast joint. Staff is very friendly, beautiful view of the river. Little place, always worth any wait. Priced are budget friendly, I would recommend this place over and over again!

After our annual summer trip to Minnesota's Largest Candy Store (see my review) we decided to skip the trip to the local McDonald's (to the nephews dismay) and venture further into Jordan and try something new. Making memories we were. My sister found this quaint spot on Yelp and we were delighted with our choice. The boys got over the fact that was not a play place loaded with germs and all was well with the world. If you are under the age of sixty you will most likely be the youngest in the place. If you care about that kind of stuff. If you only drink Pepsi products you are also in luck. Mountain Dew on tap? Let's do this! The Feed Mill is quite small. Upon entering you will wait to be seated in a very small area that has 4 chairs. It seems to be very simple and who helps you is just whoever happens to be free. Be patient. We had no idea what we were doing but it worked out swell. The service was top notch. The staff was extremely attentive and had took the time to answer questions we had and dealt with the 8 and 10 year old boys with ease. Remember, most the of the customers were pushing 70+. Ours was the odd man out table. We ordered: kids meal with 1 (huge) pancake, eggs and 1 strip of bacon. (prefect for the picky 8 year old), a club sandwich, a grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and fries and the cajun breakfast. The 4 of us were satisfied with our choices. Everyone finished their meals with ease but me. I asked for a to go box as that cajun breakfast was a feast to feed 2 mouths! No complaints, I was happy to finish it the following day. I enjoyed it and would happily order it again. Without mushrooms which I did this time and they actually listened. My sister and I were happy to not be eating Big Macs. The boys were happy to sip Mountain Dew and root beer. The service was excellent and it was a great experience. If you ever find yourself in downtown Jordan I highly recommend Feed Mill. You can even purchase a T- shirt if you wish!

1st trip, I had a Rueben, good but not great with minimal fries. Clean, relaxing view of creek and had good service. 2nd trip, Lunch. Myself and 3 co workers, ordered roast beef sandwich. It was not that busy but our lunch still took 20 mins. I ordered a Pepsi and it tasted like carbonated water. Needed more syrup!!

Oddly enough, I found myself in Jordan, with breakfast on my mind. Yelp helped me find this little gem. Great view of the creek. You can sit right by the edge of the creek at the window and watch the water rush by. Wonderful attentive, but not overly familiar service. Good homey food. This tastes like the food I make at home, if I weren't too lazy to make hollandaise sauce. Which I am. I had the Cajun breakfast, which is not spicy, but delicious and huge. I was starving and still left a third behind. Our table also ordered the biscuits and gravy. All delicious and even the decaf coffee was fresh and tasty, which is often not the case. Worth the drive!

The haunted house was pretty nice, just spooky enough to make it fun without being over the top. They also have a good selection of other snacks and local goodies worth checking out. Mary in the Country Store was great, friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. The thing is it's 3 adults & 1 child, paying $80 to get in to watch 1 child play is not worth it imo. Most of the activities are geared towards younger kids. They do have a free area in the common area. There's a smaller sweets store, bar & gift shop/cafe. All of it was pretty underwhelming. The sweet shop hardly had anything but caramel apples and few stuffed animals. It's still pretty early in the season so it's weird to see the space so empty same with the other shop/cafe. Not much going on. The cafe where you order food was odd looking. Like a counter in the back of a warehouse vibes. Floor was messy and just didn't look like somewhere you should eat out off. I got in like to grab a cider flight. There was one person working the bar but it was basic pours. The line stayed consistently busy. By time I got to the front ~15 min of waiting I was told they were out of the cups they needed for the flights so he told me he would flag me when they restocked them. I came back about 10 min later and they were restocking cups and the line was still consistently long. Never was flagged down and ended up waiting another 10 or so minutes in line. When I got to the front they were having issues with the payment system. Just wasn't my luck. I did end up getting my flight, 4 ciders, pretty good but I'm generally over the experience. I also got a cider float w/ a donut. I guess because they were so busy despite the menu saying one thing (that you can choose the cider flavor) they used a basic cider for all of them. It was decent. Overall not a place I would I'd want to adventure that far out for.

Everything looks so good it's hard not to over order. They have a really great mix of sweet and savory options. Pastries, donuts, cakes, sandwiches, and more. The quiche is one of my go-to items and the breakfast pastries are always so good. They also have homemade granola that is to die for. Coffee and matcha are consistently great also. I love their seasonal fresh orange juice but it is a little pricey. The space itself is super cute and nicely decorated with plenty of seating, so it's a great place to sit and actually enjoy your food. I also love that they're open in the evening for wine and small plates. Makes it such a fun and unique spot for the area. Such a great local spot that does it all really well. Definitely recommend.

Why 2 stars? Our…read morefamily recently visited Lorence's Berry Farm for strawberry picking and had mixed feelings about the experience. On the positive side, the strawberries were abundant, vibrant, juicy, and very easy to pick. We had three generations together for a fun family outing, including my 4-month-old and 1-year-old granddaughters, and we were excited to spend time outdoors making memories. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by an interaction with an older gentleman who appears to have worked there for quite some time. After a two-hour drive, I briefly pulled over to speak with my daughters and figure out where we should park before unloading the children and heading to the fields. We were apparently stopped in an area where parking was not allowed, although there was no sign indicating that. Rather than approaching us politely, he immediately began yelling. I explained that we were simply trying to get a game plan together and that a softer approach would have been appreciated. Instead of de-escalating the situation, he continued to yell as I drove away to find a proper parking spot. What was most disappointing was that he then directed his yelling toward my daughters while they were standing with my granddaughters. The commotion upset my 1-year-old granddaughter to the point that she started crying, while my infant granddaughter and daughter looked on. Later, I shared my experience with another employee, who apologized for the earlier behavior. However, while we were in line paying, we witnessed the same gentleman confront another visitor who had parked in the area because she could not find handicap-accessible parking. He berated her, refused to provide his name when asked, and the interaction became so uncomfortable that she began recording the encounter on her phone. Ironically, a short while later, the very same gentleman approached me and apologized for his actions earlier. While I appreciated the gesture, he immediately followed it by explaining that "it's a stressful thing," which felt more like a justification for his behavior than a sincere acknowledgment of how his actions affected visitors. The strawberries were wonderful, and the farm itself has the potential to be a great family destination. The fruit quality and ease of picking made for an enjoyable outing, but customer service and the way guests are treated matter just as much as the product. Unfortunately, one employee's repeated behavior toward multiple customers significantly detracted from what otherwise could have been a very positive family experience.
