If, on the other hand, you love coming in to a no frills, locally owned hidden gem, where the owner's kids might be playing games in the back or at an empty table, to get your clog-your-arteries pizza with pepperoni cooked just the perfect amount to get the curl on the edge to make a pool for the copious grease to settle into and with cheese so thick and melty that you need the Chaos Theory to predict where it will end up... then yeah this is your place. read more

I get delivery every Thursday. Pepperoni and pineapple is the shiz niz(only thing I order and ever have). Would recommend to anyone. Quality ingredients when it comes to my pepperoni and cheese, could do a little better on the pineapple. But hey it gets the job done. The pizza can be really greasy from time to time from all that yummy cheese they throw on top but I'm not complaining. It's pizza. The crust is good, everyone has their opinions on crust and can't please everyone. But as for the taste of the crust it is well made. Out of all my deliveries I have only had one bad experience. The pizza delivery man failed to tell me that he dropped the pizza on its side. Let's just say it made for a creative eating pizza night. But don't let that keep you from ordering. A slight bit pricier than a chain place, but pizza was made well with nice ingredients - in a sense you get what you pay for (plus get to support local business.) For anyone who's wondering they're Large is 16". I thought it was a relatively decent size for the price. Pretty generous with the toppings.

I'll be the first to admit it--I'm a pizza FREAK. It's always struck me as a shame that all the pizza in the area is from a major chain, and the few local Italian restaurants that do make pizza don't seem to knock it out of the park. ENTER JONUZI'S! It's legit NYC/Jersey style (and since I can't go to NYC as often as I can go across the street, this place is my new fave. I just can't see ordering from a regular chain again while this place is here. Great thin foldable crust with a nice chewy ring at the outside, awesome sauce, fresh toppings. Ordered takeout after reading review. My husband got hot wings and old bay fries and I got a buffalo chicken sub. The fries were a little soggy but that I expected that since we didnt eat there. Overall everything tasted great. The price was reasonable for the amount of food we got and the employees were friendly. read more

I am a Jonuzi's fan. My family and I have been eating here for months and have yet to be disappointed. Pizza is great, his Philly Cheesesteak is GREAT and don't forget the cannoli. The owner, Ron, is the real New Jersey deal and it shows in his food. I personally love the fact that his kids are sometimes around the store. It is,after all, a family business. He's just a guy trying to make a living who just so happens to make great food. Support local business and go in and give it a try. There's lots to choose from. It was our first time to try this place out. We went to go eat in and the place smelled strongly of cigarette smoke so we ordered 2 pizzas, Hawaiian and Meat lovers and 2 salads to go instead. At first bite, everything was very tasty, had lots of toppings on the pizza. We were pleased. However, a few hours after eating we both ended up with food poisoning and we were sick all night long. I love this place. It's right by my home and it has such a family atmosphere. I've eaten here twice and the portions are great! A single slice will have you full. Been to Jonuzi's twice now. The first time while I was waiting on my order different guys came in from their neighboring businesses and ordered the Philly Cheesesteak. I could tell by the way they talked about them I needed to come back and try one. Today was the day and I was not disappointed. Definitely the best Philly around here. They make it just right and just like with their pizza they are using high quality ingredients. The owner is a great guy so if you get the chance go at an off hour and you might get a chance to chat with him while you eat. read more

I cosign previous reviews of the pizza from Jonuzi's. It is one of the best I have had in Denton. And the price is just right. It appears to be locally owned and operated. Which is why I will give them my business over any of the chains. My son has ciliac and cannot eat gluten. I did not see a g-free option so they don't have everything for everybody. Overall the pizza was OK and decently priced, but the toppings were not successfully incorporated on the pizza.

The topping here are top notch! This pizza is such a great value for the price. Usually my husband and I can clear out a large pretty easily. This pizza is so thick that is fills you up quick. You get double the fullness than you would at dominoes easily. The crust wasn't the best to me and one of the staff members was too polite, but other than that this place is delectable. read more

Never walked into a Pizza place that knew my name from just ordering. That is what I call personal attention. This is a Genuine Gem. Pizza was Great. Chicken wings that i ordered were flavorful and filling. I ordered a regular large pizza that was enough to feed a family of 3. This type of Pizza place is part of the community. Very delicious with the perfect amount of toppings. It's a take out place. Small but chill. You would never know from the outside of the strip mall that you would find a place like this. I'm giving it 2 stars because I did not try the food. We're new to Denton and wanted to try a local place. The cigarette smoke smell was so bad when we walked in that we had to leave. With our asthma, we just can't be around it. Maybe it was a bad day or maybe it came from someone sitting there, but it was bad. And a "hi" or "what can I get you" would have been nice- but I'm not judging it on that. read more

We love this place! The price is reasonable and the food is really good. It's a small place and it seems to be the same folks running the show most nights. The pizzas are ready fast and the guy that is always there is very courteous. If I had one complaint it would be the location. I wouldn't send my wife in here alone to pick up food at night. We just moved to Denton and LOVE this place. The wings are great and not greasy. The pizza always arrives just as we ordered it and is hot & delicious. The salads are huge crispy and fresh. I'd give this place 5 stars, as their pizza is the BEST around, hands down. The only issue with this place is that they are never open consistently. We planned on ordering pizza from Jonuzi's today and they aren't answering the phone from 11:00 am to 11:20 am, even though their menu and online listings show they open daily at 11:00 am. The isn't the first one this has happened, but the other time it was around 5:00 pm and they were closed during business hours. That's not a good way to do business, but if you can catch them, the food is good. read more

If you're in Texas, and you miss that greasy, cheesy, flavorful pizza that your uncle used to order from that place in Brooklyn, then this is the place for you. If you think folding a slice of pizza and sticking a napkin in the folded crust to catch the grease is something that you just do automatically, you'll like Jonuzi's. If none of this makes sense (i.e. if you're from Chicago) then maybe this isn't for you. But Jonuzi's does cheap NY-style pizza really, really well. read more

We ordered the Jonuzi's Supreme and the Verdi pizzas, as well as the Caesar salad and Antipasto salad. Everything was amazing. Very authentic NY style (that crust!).
