I'm a regular here, mainly for their cookies and cream shake drink, which is simply delicious. I also occasionally pick up some donut bites, and they're pretty okay, but it's that shake that keeps me coming back. In addition to shakes and donuts, they serve sandwiches, although I haven't explored that part of the menu much. Keep in mind that if you're paying with a card, there's a $5 minimum charge and a $0.50 fee afterward. Service is always nice. Parking can also be a bit challenging when it's busy. So, if you plan to visit during peak hours, it's a good idea to prepare for that.

Delicious and fresh. The shop was clean as well. Very nice people. I highly recommend this place. I also got a breakfast croissant. Bacon was crispy, so good.

    Hair in sandwich

Found a hair in my sandwich, not exactly what you wanna see when you're halfway done with sandwich.

This is our go-to donut and breakfast sandwiches spot in Long Beach. If you're in the area, definitely stop by for a donut and a sandwich. You won't be disappointed! The staff is friendly and the prices are good.

    Ham croissant sandwich

Jon's donut has the best croissant sandwiches with excellent service. For the price that you're paying, I say it's all worth it! The owner of the shop is very sweet, she always greet me with a "hello dear, or hi sweetie what can I get for you." With that kind of tone and response, makes me come back every time for their delicious ham croissant sandwich. As long as they're here, I'll be coming back. They also accept card payments

    all day breakfast menu

I've been coming to this cute little mom and pop shop and noticed they're under new ownership. Love their new additions with the TV menus, freshly painted walls, and snacks on snacks! They have all day breakfast which is so yummy and their donuts are freshly made everyday. Wonderful customer service I will be back!

Glaze twist and thai tea boba

I'm no donut connoisseur, but I know a good one when I have it and every donut I've had here has been delicious. There seems to be a stigma that these sort of mom n pop donut shops are all the same but trust me, this one stands out: the donuts are fluffier, fresher, and simply better than other shops. On top of that, they have breakfast and lunch sandwiches as well as a variety of boba drinks and snacks. Friendly staff, good donuts, no complaints. Try em if you're in the area!

Venue - Your avg typical mom and pops donut joint. Prices - Avg prices. Taste - Donuts and croissants are very good here with good flavor and taste to them. Staff - Owners here are very nice and helpful. Parking - Parking is good in the morning but once the Pho and Pizza place open it can be hectic. Overall the service is great, prices are good, and the quality of food and taste is great. Will be coming here for years to come.

Just yesterday, while taking my kiddo for a drive, I realized there's a spot nearby where I now live! I'm obsessed with their horchata frappe--has it gotten even better over the past 20 years? I swear it has. Their tres leches muffin is also absolutely delicious and worth grabbing if they have it--but go early because they tend to sell out by the end of the day, proof of just how good it is. The drive-thru line can get pretty long, but it moves pretty quickly. You can also park and walk inside; the place is spotless and cozy. I could see myself sitting there, catching up on some work while enjoying my coffee. Tierra Mia is a hidden gem--if you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out and definitely should!

Short drive through, extends onto Carson st. The wait time was maybe 30 minutes. They were slammed for sure. I ordered my usual horchata matcha. First sip. Milk. Shake, shake, shake. Another sip. Milk with a taste of matcha. It was NOT my horchata matcha that I always get. I was extremely saddened by this. I threw away the drink. I'm going to stick to my pch girl from now on. If I was pregnant I would be throwing the biggest fit. I still did, but imagine. Ugh my craving was not satisfied. If you want to sit inside good luck, that parking lot has like 4 spots and I'm sure the employees use them. Otherwise street parking will be your only option. They have an updated menu with flan & banana items at the time I went 05/22/26. It's attached in my photos to view.

The café has outside and inside seating. I prefer to sit outside since there were a lot of students working on their laptops and I didn't want to cause any distraction since we were there to mingle and chat. Being outside was nice, but you also still have other people seated outside, or in passing. The barista/cashier was friendly, especially when I let him know that it was my first time. He asked me what my likes were and said he can make that for me. I went with a hot honey cinnamon vanilla latte and it was good. It may have needed more to it because it was not flavorful and sweet enough. I couldn't taste the honey or cinnamon. It tastes more like a vanilla latte. But I think this is an easy fix next time I order. They also have a restroom for customers which I visited, and it was clean. There is plenty of parking and this is definitely a college crowd, but welcome to everyone.

I got a croissant and they warmed it up for me. It was flaky and good, but wow was it buttery! My fingers were covered in grease and i got it all over my laptop. Oops. I wish they had a bigger selection of pastries. I got there at around 11 and their case was pretty bare. Usually my go-to stop in Long Beach for coffee because it's super convenient to get to, but parking can be tough!

I've tried a few of their drinks, but I don't find the tea tasting special at all. The jelly are fine, but also nothing particularly stand out. My first visit I waited like 20mins near closing, which is waaaay better than the hour it was beforehand. And on a recent visit there was essentially no wait. I'm not sure I'd come back as I have other boba shops I much prefer nearby me.

They changed the name subtle enough to avoid a lawsuit, but the changes in the menu and the quality of the drinks are far more drastic, and it's not for the better. Gone are the traditional teas and sesame jelly that made Hechalou so famous. These options are replaced by cheap imitations of Starbucks' frothy drinks that sound good on paper but taste like iced piss with sugar. The drinks are excessively sweet, a mortal sin by Asian standard, and they have a generic taste that might as well have one item on the entire menu. Alas, to get a sip of the old favorites, now I have to drive across town instead of stop by after work. I am glad that I got my many trips here before the old guards died, and it's probably better for my hemoglobin A1c in the long run.

I already know I need to come back for food and wine. Obviously. The vibe was cozy, the staff was super friendly, and it just felt like the kind of place where you bring a book, romanticize your life, and accidentally stay way longer than planned. Coffee, wine, books, cute little atmosphere? Honestly, they knew exactly what they were doing. Five stars. I will be returning, probably with a book and my friend

First it's 7:30pm, planned on ordering a matcha and the person at the register informed me that there was "No coffee or tea after 4pm" so I choose to order a non alcoholic beverage and maybe something to eat and cashier or owner, whoever this person was tells me if I plan to work because it becomes a "laptop free zone" after 4pm. Odd behavior to tell someone what they can and can't do at an establishment considering it's called a coffee AND wine bar. Maybe this is something to advertise on your yelp and website but a "laptop free zone" after 4pm is pretty ridiculous for potential customers who were just looking to eat and work. I almost feel like he just told me that because I was going to order a salad and a non alcoholic beverage and wasn't planning on ordering much. As the other 1 star reviews mention "pretentious behavior" so it's either the cashier or whoever it was is being pretentious as others mentioned or RACIST... Kinda odd to dictate what I do on my own accord while I'm a patron at your establishment. If I ordered food and a drink but chose to open my laptop, are you going to ask me to leave? Doesn't really seem customer centric. Considering that I've worked on my laptop at dine-in restaurants, it's pretty odd behavior to display. Also, considering that this is not a club, and there's no live music, and there were only 3 people sitting in there, I think I would have been fine to sit there quietly in a corner with my laptop. 1 star for the experience and weird behavior. Like I said it's either pretentiousness or racism but weird behavior nonetheless.
