They supposedly worked with Bontrager to replace but I had to keep checking back only to find the claim was not filed the first time around and 2nd time they refused warranty. I called trek myself and they looked up the claim explained the process and said it refunded the purchase price, but since it was a close out they would refund the full price so that I could get a comparable pair of shoes. The store should have been the ones to work with them, not make the customer do that! I have been without shoes now for over 3 weeks in prime riding season. THIS shop does not loom out for customers. All it took was a quick call to trek to sort things out!!! Now they are shipping the correct shoes based on MY CALL to trek. All they needed to do was call..... such a disappointment. Even the trek representative said most of the time a shop will call to fix the problem.

This particular location is closer to work, so I often stop here. I also took a free class for women years ago, specifically on women's specific bikes and parts. This was very helpful and I found the perfect saddle. They had this thing you sat on to see where your bones would rest on the seat. Then they were able to mold a perfect seat, fit for the individual. (this was a few years ago, and might have only been a feature of the company showing women's products). The staff is very helpful and always seem to be working hard fixing a bike or two in the back. If you just looking at getting into biking, stop in here and ask the staff for some guidance. They will likely have some suggestions to assist you in getting started at reasonable prices. They do not have a large selection of jerseys or clothes here. I have never had any success finding a clothes here, but I did buy my shoes, locks, helmet and tools.

My…read morehusband took the bike he'd gotten me over when we hit a point where we though professionals should continue the asslembly (brake wires and gear shift). Whoever was working wouldn't even look at it. He said it was a cheap Chinese knock off and we should just return it and that the brakes are crap. I don't know if he thought this would make us take it apart, stuff it back in the box, fight for a refund and then return there to buy a differnt bike from them but it's not gonna happen. Yes, it may be cheap bike, but not everyone can afford to drop $1000+ on a trike. We went with the cheap option because we don't know with my health if this is even going to work for me. If it does, then I would likely have started looking at a more expensive bike locally to upgrade to. If the brakes are that bad, he COULD have said that they're not good and shown us upgrades to purchase. We were also going to be looking at helmets, accessories, and a tune up on my husband's bike. The plan was this was going to be OUR bike shop because it's only a few blocks away. Now my bike is in the back of my van and I am waiting on friends to tell me where they go. Because I will gladly drive to a shop with a better attitude and better service. This shop made it very clear they're not for someone looking to start over with a simple, basic, budget friendly bike and looking to build a business relationship for years ahead.

The clerk showed me a bunch of options and we had a fun convo about bike stuff. This felt like a great practical shop: not a giant bike warehouse or a lifestyle brand shop, but a place that sells reasonable bikes, parts and service.

After I picked it up, I noticed I wasn't charged for it and a week later, the front tire was flat again. I never got around to bringing it back until last week, and just asked to replace the tires and front lining. When I picked up the bike I explained what happened last time and asked if there was a warranty so I wouldn't have the same issue again. The guy at the register said no, there wasn't. I said I understood if there was a puncture or something that I caused, but just for the tires themselves, even a limited warranty? No. I guess I didn't know that was a thing. I wasn't trying to be a jerk, but the guy acted like I was. I dropped it, paid for it, and then he made a personal comment, saying I should go find an Air Conditioner and sit in front of it. It was hot and I walked a half mile there in the sun and I sweat a bit, always have. I felt this comment was unnecessarily confrontational and completely unprofessional. I have no problems with the products and service. I just didn't appreciate the personal comment, is all.

Ross was working on a bike and said he'd help me out. He determined I had a leak in the tube, which he quickly replaced. He also took the time to tweak my brakes and handle bars. When I offered him my credit card, he kindly said no. I insisted, as he had no idea what a lifesaver he was to me. Again, he said no. I can't thank Ross enough for his kind and generous support in getting this ol' gal back on her bike. Be on the look out for Ross and two other Velofix vans around the lakes area, plus as a bonus they also make house calls!

My bike was repair where I could ride again but it was not the same as before accident. As the weather is starting to be nice out, I took my bike down to ride and the brakes were not very tight and the gears were not shifting smoothly as before. I did a search for bike tune ups near me and Velofix came up on the search again. I was going to take my bike to Nokomis Bike shop but after my husband went to check it out, they have an undetermined time frame of when the bike would be worked on so I decided to schedule an appt with Velofix. Luckily, they had one opening left for Thursday May 20. Prices were comparable to Nokomis Bike Shop for a basic tune up. It was great because Velofix came to my house and worked on the bike right in their mobile van and was done in an hour. Brant was friendly and good to work with. I did my check in and got a surprised check in offer for a free cooling towel with any service but I didn't save the offer and so I'm not able to pull it up again. I told Brant that and he was surprised of the offer and didn't have any cooling towels available. Overall, I would recommend Velofix because of the convenience, pricing and friendly staff.

Brought the bike in and they claim this is normal wear and not covered under warranty stating that the bike tire needs to be inflated every week otherwise this will happen. I have never had this occur with any bike I have ever purchased from Erik's nor any other bike for that matter. The pictures show the stem being cut at exactly the same location as the hole on the rim. If you expand the picture you can see the sharp edges on the hole that should have been filed down. I fully expect replacing the tube will only result in a cut stem again. Really disappointed that Erik's won't stand behind their product. Not worth the cost to shop here.
