Maybe this is overkill for most people, but I think it is good to know for people like myself but also for people with more simple bike needs that by coming here you will have people looking after your bike who really care about doing a great job whether you need an overhaul on your race bike or just a tire replaced on your commuter bike.

They gave a wonderful explanation of the various parameters to consider (eg frame size, handlebar type, etc) and discussed the pros and cons of each. Once we circled in on what I was looking for, they let me test ride three or four different bikes in the surrounding neighborhood, adjusting each bike to fit me before riding. I felt really taken care of and my intimidation about purchasing a bike dissolved immediately upon interacting with the staff. I stopped at a few different bike shops today but Recovery stood head and shoulders above the others because they were so friendly, knowledgeable, affordable, and community oriented. I couldn't recommend this place more highly and I'm planning to stick with them for my future biking needs.

I have since learned to change my own flat and was able to do it myself (4" fat tire) with no issues at all so I would expect a bike mechanic to be able to handle changing a tire without any issues? The owner was very helpful and they are one of a few Rad Power Bike dealers (the brand of bike I own) so I'd really like to rely on them if I could. Good shop location and I was able to get same day service which can be nearly impossible - some shops are a month out for getting work done.

That extra investment has paid off many times since: - GP spent time fitting my bike perfectly to me as part of the purchase. This is huge, and many shops charge extra for it. They tweaked it a few weeks later after I'd put in some miles as well. - The 90 day tune up is included; they dialed in all my cables and such the Spring after I purchased the bike to keep it working great. - A few days ago, I totally messed up my own shifting calibration. What can I say? I'm not a bike mechanic. I brought it in, and GP fixed it on short notice to get things working like new. They also noticed my wheel was out of true, and fixed that too for a very nominal price. GP is one of the best bike shops around.
