Couple of minor quirks: They don't have a local shop to purchase from so I had to order online which was not an issue. The account set up and ordering were easy as the online portal is fairly intuitive. I only needed the frame for a photo I had purchased but they require a photo to be uploaded which again, not an issue (it allowed me to check their print quality aside from frame quality for future projects).

Unfortunately, this was my first experience with Lumaprints and most likely my last. I wanted to…read moresupport a local business, since I usually get my prints serviced elsewhere, and then I saw an artist have a good experience with Lumaprints and wanted to give them a try. Their quality didn't meet my expectations with prints that had creases running across the pieces, and while it may sound quite unforgiving, it was because I needed the prints as a gift for a friend who had gone through a loss. I put an order in on May 6th for an 8x8 and 5x5 print and was told they were available to be picked up on the 11th. I let them company know I'd pick it up on the 15th and took time off work to do so. But upon inspecting the prints later, the creases across the prints ruined this gift idea. I've attached a picture since I was surprised there wasn't a quality check on these. It happened to be that I got 2 prints ordered through their site and did a will-call to pick up the prints. Their turn around time is quite decent, but the hours of operation does make it challenging to pick up, since they open M-F from 9am-3pm, which makes it hard if someone is working those hours and doesn't have a long break I emailed Lumaprints about my disappointment in the quality of the prints I received, and an associate, Jessy, was quite responsive. I give credit for the fast customer service response. But since it was on Friday that I picked up the initial prints, that would mean having to wait until the following week, and it was too late by then for me to give the gift that weekend. Jessy did let me know that they would reprint my order and expedite my prints so I could pick it up. That was definitely the standard thing to do what is right. However, I was going to be unable to take time off work to go pick up the prints again, so I asked Jessy to bill me an invoice for USPS ground shipping to have the prints shipped to me. Once I completed the shipping charge invoice, they sent out the prints to me. I received the prints on May 21st since I was somewhat local. In addition, it's strange that Lumaprints seem to be off on their measurements. I ordered a print in 8x8 and had to trim the print to fit this into an 8x8 frame I purchased from Michael's Arts and Crafts. This too added to my frustration. The overall experience I had with Lumaprints definitely left me disappointed.

Initially i was impressed with the service i was getting, had a nice chat with Elium. He agreed to prioritize the DTF print i needed. I was stoked, hoping i found a good vendor close, well it won't be these guys. I sent a 400dpi transparent PNG, ready to go! Looks like the white underprint pulled a bit causing a drip outside of the graphic. Called them about it not about the money but on principle after i was told so proudly who they do work for and was absolutely shocked at how the conversation played out. I got played for pennies. Basically he couldn't get passed the idea of it being on his end, cop-out statement. "I didn't create the file" so regardless of how the file was i sent this guy his arrogance was going to be in the way, he took zero responsibility for what was clearly a printer malfunction. You can see by the photo the inconsistent white underprint and the registration that is off, POOP. I had run a bulk of the project with a company overseas and was not happy due to some minor banding slight registration issues. At the end of the conversation, he said he could see where the problem really was. I don't want to make this into a bigger deal than it is but i'd look for other options because if they drop the ball you're eating it. Manilla Clothing does an amazing job and has awesome customer service with 24/7 pickup. I worth the extra little drive i guess.

I decided to have them do our t-shirts and if they were not satisfactory, we would not use them for future projects. I spoke with Tom and he was very professional. He was able to work with me on the font, logo, color of shirts and the various sizes for 38+ 1 doggy shirt I requested. Unfortunately, due to the short notice I gave Tom, his vendors were unable to ship the doggy shirt I needed, but Tom made the effort to reach out to various vendors; that speaks volumes of his work ethic. As for the t-shirts, they were exactly as I ordered; the sizes were correct, the fabric was soft and of good quality at an affordable price. They looked professional, not cheap. See Mammoth Lakes group picture. But wait, it gets better. A week later, at 3:00pm on the day of the NWA movie release, my sister called me to ask if "my t-shirt guy" sold NWA shirts. I told her I didn't know, but I would send her his number. Lo and behold, Tom had NWA t-shirts printed and ready to be picked-up at 5:00pm! Is that incredible customer service or what???!!! My sister and her friends were so impressed, they will be ordering all their custom t-shirts at Theory Printing. See NWA t-shirt pictures. They do so much more than printing t-shirts. They also work on websites and do professional printing for Artists, Body Builders, Bands and other celebrities. The reviews do not lie - they are that fabulous and more!! Give them a try!!
