I wrote a review at the beginning of our BIG project and now that the job is done, I'd like to say that this company is the best!!! Oren and Kobi are so great at keeping us "in the loop" on all communication regarding dates, times and payments due etc. We have been so pleased with the insulation, windows and exterior house paint, that we decided to have another job done as well. It's been great being able to deal with just one or two people for all of these different jobs. I highly recommend Jonathan Construction and am so glad we hired them! read more

This is my first and only review. I am writing this two months after my guest house was built. I am happy with the sinks, walls, back yard little garden they did for me... And most of the top notch work and amazing work ethic every one had!!! Great company. read more

I received a call from a person who identified himself as a Manager at Jonathan Construction, Jack Terry. He said he was taking a hour out of his day to make calls. However, when I asked for information on the company he only gave me the website. I asked who the owners were and he asked me "why I wanted to know" then directed me back to the website. Not having my computer at the time, I asked if he would just tell me the names of the owners. He then told me "NO, I just think you're trying to cause trouble and I don't want to talk to you anymore." Then he hung up. REALLY! This was a simple request to get more information on the company before I got a quote! I would investigate any company doing work for me the same way. I don't think this is a reliable or legitimate company. And, if they are, they need to rethink using the people they've hired to do their cold calls. read more

I wish I could give Jonathan Construction Negative 5 Stars. This "business" will scam you out of your hard earned money if you let them. They are downright scary when they get angry (which doesn't take much just try telling them no). DO NOT TRUST THEM! They talked my 95 year old grandmother into giving her home address and ever since then it has been a complete nightmare! Even though we have told them repeatedly we don't want to do business they continue to come to the house! They show up in suits and act very pushy and intimidating. They refuse to leave the house so this last time we were forced to go as far as calling the police to remove them. They also don't show up in a typical contractors truck.. They drive a small black car and park far from your house. I don't care how good their work may be I will warn everyone who will listen DON'T GET INVOLVED WITH THESE JERKS! IN RESPONSE TO JONATHAN CONSTRUCTION: I do not reside in North Hollywood, I am a business owner and that is where my business is. As for "dirtying your name" That is absolutely not the case. You guys do a fine job of that on your own. As a business owner I know how important word of mouth is and take no enjoyment whatsoever in writing a negative review. I'm a very laid back person and I hate to do it.. but because my family has had to deal with you people more than once and it was such a terrible experience, I simply want to warn others so they don't have to go through the same thing. Nothing about this is a "generalization" and it is absolutely a personal experience not only for me but for the few family members that have dealt with you. The police made you give us your card so you can't deny it was your business either. I have solid evidence to prove your behavior was terrible and you practice unethical sales tactics but it's not worth a minute more of my time! read more

Reliable honest and kept their promise . I got three offers and Jonathan gave the best bid for the construction on the new house . They did full renovation including HVAC , floors and windows. I am very satisfied. read more

This company did my moms roof pre COVID-19, it was right after my stepdad passed away, the workers he sent asked to borrow our $500 ladder and we said yes assuming they meant for the job on our roof, however they took our ladder with them, by the time I noticed and asked them to return it our roof had been complete for at least two months, I needed it to hang Christmas lights which never happened because even though my contact at that company said he would take care of it once he knew how much my ladder cost that he said he would replace he became a ghost, surprise! His workers stole our ladder I had them on video and they denied having it! I am sick to my stomach that these people could take advantage of my grieving mother, be careful of this guy!!!! read more

Everyday I get a call from " The Hacienda Home Center" They ask for my deceased grandfather, and proceed to tell me they spoke to him last week about home improvement projects. When I tell them this isn't true, they promptly hang up, or proceed to curse and yell at me and my family. The lies and stories get more devious and crafty everyday. I asked for a call back number that led me to Jonathan construction. The woman that answered knowingly agreed to their phone marketing scam. She wanted my information and said " they won't stop until I've listed your number" They won't stop?! How is that good business?! How is this allowed ? Is anyone else going to do something about this NON STOP HARASSMENT?!! I have reported you people to several agencies. My lawyer is actively pursuing you, and I will not stop until your fraud is unveiled and justice is served. Be careful doing business with these people. It is 100% a scam. read more

It has been a complete stress free experience working with them. Jonathan construction had the best price, I checked several different companies from google and yelp. They gave me a fair estimate on the phone and then they sent me an email confirming. They come personally to your house to asses it, and then they pointed out all the things they could fix for me. We did the paint on the outside, including the outside roof part. They also fix the floors, cleaned it and polish it with special material . They are good for both small and big projects. I recommend to call them and get the email so you have a list of all the things you need. read more

*Again, whoever it is that continues to defend the person i have the issues is, im assuming it is either the owner or the person that i am referring to, fails to get the point. I do not care about whether she was there or not. She shoud not have handled the situation the way she did. Simple as that. All i wanted and want is for you guys to acknowledge that. That is all. And maybe not to hang up on someone, extremely unprofessional. Like mentioned in the previous review, my issue was not with the business. Also like mentioned, calling the company was to find out the legitimacy of the company and what had happened. All these information was gathered AFTER talking to the individual i had the issue with. Sure, she was not at the meeting, but my problem was not with the fact that the individual had right or wrong information. My issue was and still is the way she was talking to a person that simply called to find out what happened. The owner does not acknowledge the problem yet emphasizes their elder concerning policy. We weren't complaining about the elder scamming issues like other reviewers pointed out. Please understanding where my frustration was and is directed at. read more

Just got a call on behalf of Jonathon Construction in Culver City, asking if I was thinking of any construction jobs for them to give an estimate. I asked if they had a contractor's license number and he said he didn't have that now, but assured me they are licensed and a legitimate company. I told him if they were a legitimate company, they would not be calling me because I'm on the do not call list. He gave me the routine that he's not selling anything, just giving free estimates. I told him if there really is a Jonathon's Construction I would be making a complaint with them, the contractor's licensing board, and the BBB. He got very defensive, but aggressively defensive. He told me he was just calling people in my city on my street near my address (he said the city name, street name, and my address). That's when things really deteriorated. I told him if he thought he was going to intimidate me by telling me he knows where I live it wasn't going to work. He just kept it up, aggressively defending his "right" to be calling me, until I finally hung up on him. From almost the beginning of the call I told him I was on the Do Not Call List and minutes later he was still talking to me, harassing me, and letting me know he knows where I live. I wouldn't hire a contractor who blatantly ignores the Do Not Call List federal law, because I couldn't trust them to not ignore building laws or codes or contractors laws, or one that uses strong arm tactics in their solicitations. read more

My wife got a phone call from Jonathan Construction and she agreed to have a rep come out to give us an estimate on our roof which has a leak from last winter's storms. When the guy came out, I showed him where a good place would be to put his ladder to check the roof. He said he wasn't insured to get on roofs. I thought that was STRANGE. I pushed for an estimate and he measured my roof the best he could from the ground. He kept wanting to give me a sales pitch, but I kept pushing for an estimate. Finally, he went to his truck to compute the estimate. When he was gone I was fortunate to Google Jonathan Construction. I saw the bad reviews on yelp* for the REAL company which is Triangle Construction of Culver City, CA. Google Earth revealed a couple of neighbors to his address in a shopping center. I called them and they confirmed that his address 7770 Regents Rd, Ste. 113-370 was a PO Box at the UPS Store. (You can Google it, too) When the "Field Supervisor" returned with his estimate, I sent him on his way. Isn't the internet GREAT!!!? read more

I looked for construction companies for couple of weeks... they all sounded the same and have a price without even seeing my office building. I called Jonathan and the first thing they did was asking tons of questions about my building. They sounded capable of doing this huge project for me... we closed most of the job on the phone and now after half a year I am looking back and I can't believe they turned my old office building into a new amazing modern building. So so happy with Jonathan!!! read more

I decided to select Jonathan Construction to renovate our kitchen. Having gone through the renovation of other areas of our home, we know what a process that can be. Having no kitchen would be upsetting; My wife loves to cook and ( I like to eat hehe ..) for us the kitchen is truly the heart of the home. Jonathan Construction made the whole process less stressful. Everything they did from start to finish was handled professionally which put me at ease. The whole team was excellent. One of the best things about this company is they assume responsibility for all of the paperwork with the co-op and management company and kept us in the loop. When the work got started they were able to knock down a wall to open up the kitchen, get most of the demo work done in under a couple of days. End to End most of the work was complete in a 3 week period which was outstanding to us! The main contractor was awesome and explained everything in detail with us and gave us dates by which each could be done. Fantastic lead! We love our kitchen and we can't wait to show it off!!! Thank you ! read more

Do not make illegal phone calls in violation of the Do Not Call List. Sometimes JC seems like they may be targeting elderly people. My mom was receiving phone calls from them. Their telemarketer, I believe named Lisa, got very angry at me when I tricked her into giving up info so I could know who they were when they were telemarketing me. She then called me a liar and hanged up on me after I told her I was on the Do Not Call List. read more

My parents recently got their whole home renovated and they used Jonathons Construction and we are undoubtable happy woth the outcome! They delivered excellent sercive from the moment we first called them. Since my mom doesn't speak good English I helped her set everything up. These guys truly delivered what we had pictured our new home to look like. All the construction workers we had were professional and punctual they showed up exactly when they said they would. We got the job done in our targeted window. The end results are fabulous! We turned our old home into a new modern one! Thank you guys! :-) read more

I needed some rot/termite damaged fascia board replaced on my house. Easy right? Well, they gave me an expensive quote to replace plus or minus 6 boards (12 feet) as needed, and made it sound like that the charge would reflect how many they replaced. My husband wanted the work done and just went along with it. Unfortunately they decided only 5 boards were needed but the quote was written for the full charge even if they replaced less boards. We were charged $1,370 to replace 5 stinking boards, and the workers stood around most of the time, and broke some of our sprinkler heads during the work. This company sucks, they are unethical leeches. I find it interesting that their ratings are 5 star (They did a great job!) and 1 star (bad, bad). Don't wonder which ones are true - they are ripoffs and don't care. read more

Hey everyone, We just finished to remodel our bathroom with Jonathan Construction, We remodeled the other bathroom two years ago ago with different company and now when the project is done we sorry we didn't meet Jonathan Construction before! We demolished the bathroom completely; floors, walls, vanities and re do the plumbing, new tile floor, new large walking shower, new sink and vanity with recessed lighting, new window etc. This guys are pro! We had our project manager that came to give us the proposal at the first time and she managed the project form day one until the completion. She kept us informed throughout the project, when we had questions she made sure to get back to us with all the answers with reasonable time. The crew was very professional, they did a very good job. The electrical crew fixed the lights in my patio on the back without charging me for this with the project manager approval. We already referred the company to one of our neighbors and we will recommend them to anyone who's looking to improve the house. Thank you guys! read more

Jonathan Construction - My new bathroom:) - General Contractors Near Me - Culver City, California

I got a nuisance call from 714-465-1106. The lady claimed to be the daughter of the owner (likely? I think not). This is a number that has been calling me for over a year, even though I am on the Do-Not-Call List. Just yesterday I received a call from 714-465-3101 also claiming to be from Jonathan Construction. He told me he would remove me from their data base, because his intention "was not to harass anyone with repeated calls." So the very next day, I get a call from the lady mentioned above. When I started to say that I just got a call recently from Jonathan Construction, she abruptly hung up. If you're smart, you won't have anything to do with these grifters. They are obviously unethical and possibly criminal. And spread the word. The fact that the previous reviewer has provided the "real" name of this bogus company is good evidence that it is all a shady operation. I never do any business with companies that call me. And I receive hundreds of calls a year, even though I'm on the Do-Not-Call List. And, yes, I do have a call monitoring and blocking system. I took this call because I was curious about it. read more

Jonathan Construction called me from an inquiry I made on Home Advisor. My home was built in 1935 and needed a lot of improvements. Oren, a project Manager/Salesman, suggested doing energy upgrades through financing with a program called YGrene. He asked if I could afford about 400 per month for this one phase of installing insulation. I said that would probably work, but what was not explained to me was this loan of $36,920 had high compounded interest that would make the total payoff amount, $40,424. He suggested another energy upgrade, including some dual thermal windows, adding insulation to the exterior walls and adding a tankless water heater. That particular job required a new 1 &1/2" natural gas line. They dug up the lawn and plumbed the pipe under the crawl space to the laundry room. They never mentioned this gas line when selling me on this part of the project. Once again, it was, could you afford about $280 per month? This was a second YGrene loan in the amount of $26,500. With the compounded interest, that payoff amount became $33,112.44. He led me to a web site containing a doc-u-sign purchase agreement. It was very long and wordy and I never was told all the facts about how expensive these loans would be. I am retired and only receive my retirement pay. I believe I was overcharged greatly on these energy upgrades. When I complained about walls not being patched correctly, electrical circuits not being properly assigned to the appropriate breakers, sink holes in the yard, pipe noises under the house and what a mess they made of my beautiful front yard, they only fixed what they wanted to fix. They would not send their plumber to fix the pipe noises, which still clang out occasionally or to repair the lawn, which was very nice and now looks terrible. I will say that some of their sub-contractors did do a nice job. I believe these guys do not fully disclose the details of the financial agreements, but only speak in round numbers, pertaining to your monthly budget. I ended up having to refinance my house to make the payments more affordable on my fixed income. I cannot recommend Jonathan Construction, due to their devious tactics, and lack of response to customer concerns. This financial burden has resulted in my having only a 20k% equity in my home of 32 years! Keep looking and find a company with salesmen who have ethics, who are honest, and who do not prey on senior citizens! read more

WORST COMPANY EVER!! They've had to redo everything 3-4 times. Overcharged us. Never gave a schedule of the workers. When we did know the workers schedule they would be late, and I'm not taking 10 mins. More like an 60-90 mins. Some days not even show up or show up with no notice. Then work 5 hrs. They'd even leave their gfs sitting in the car outside sometimes. They used our broom, dustpan, extension cords, vacuum. They'd fix one thing just to mess up something else. Make sure to get info for the appliances because they take forever to fix that if you have an issue with them not working. And you can't fix it yourself because they put in order info from the East coast. Assistant would show up randomly and walk in the house like he lived there. The workers talked crap about this company non stop putting us in the middle of their drama. Now that the job is winding down we can't get a hold of them. So we fired them. And now work is unfinished and they won't refund any money for unfinished work. So now we have to fix all their mistakes and install things like windows and doors. Also be very specific with what you want. They will assume and just pick for you. Also they give limited options of everything. Heck they even make decisions without asking for your opinion. Like texturing your bathroom walls and ceiling when you wanted smooth ones. Ill be contacting the contractors state license board. read more

so i started looking for companies about a month ago... i looked on angie's list and several friends of mine gave me recommendations. eventually i went on yelp and after 2 weeks of searching i found this company and decided to give them a call based on reviews i had read. the gentlemen that picked up the phone was very helpful and knowledgable. after describing my situation to the gentlemen, he made several tailored recommendations and quoted me a price as well. When the time came to have the work done, the workers were very professional and worked in a timely manner. The best part was that the price they quoted was absolutely on point. No extra charges and very accurate. Thank you so much. I will definitely be doing. business with you guys again. read more

Stay away from these scammers. They asked for personal info, and said they were local, etc when they aren't. I asked to have a phone contact with a person who knew about the work I wanted done because it involved removing. Old attic material. I know how I want it done. Since I did not want to talk to a salesman, the gal just hung up. Lots of fast talk and promises in the beginning -- but a hasty retreat when it came to real business. Hang up fast! read more

Jonathan Construction, Inc.'s representative, Mike, came to my home to give me an estimate on new hardwood flooring for my upstairs and my staircase going upstairs. I was happy with the price and how carefully he made sure everything was spelled out. After looking at what I would be getting, I told him to go ahead and we scheduled a time that was convenient for me. (He was even gracious about my asking to reschedule.) The workmen were all very courteous. I was living in my house during the work and they meticulously cleaned up after themselves every workday. They made sure I could get to the things I needed. They arrived on time and worked hard. In order to do the job right, there were a few finishing touches that needed to be done after the initial estimated completion date and they told me it would take part of an extra half day to finish. The workmen crew forman discussed with me when would be convenient for me to have them come to complete these few finishing touches. They were great about conforming to my schedule. The floors are lovely and I am very pleased with both the result and with how careful the workmen were with my furniture, how carefully they cleaned up every day, and with how puctual they were. I highly recommend this company. read more

What a wonderful job!!! I got the kitchen I was dreaming of for so many years. I checked several options on how to get my kitchen done in the past two years. I had so many concerns, but once I met Sharon from Jonathan Constriction, all my questions were answered. The project started to be clear and I felt confident to move forward with them. First, they prepared a 3D sketch with the design me and my husband wanted - the design came out exactly as I envisioned it. Then we got a detailed work plan, that broke down the steps of the job. Once we had the design ready, the workers started to prepare the kitchen. We had a meeting with Sharon, and she brought us a variety of samples for the floors, counter top, back splash etc. We got beautiful custom cabinets in high quality with soft closing. The workers have been on time, very polite and kept the house very clean. We barely felt that we are going through construction, beside the demolition day which we expected. We got answers to our questions all along the project from Sharon. Great company! Next year we are planning to remodel our bathroom and we will definitely call them to do the job. read more

Just got a call from these people. Very shady. A woman named Bobbie called and said her husband of 25 years was wanting to give me an estimate for any work I might be doing. I usually don't even engage with these people but for some reason I was in a mood and wanted to see where it would go. When I started asking her reasonable questions like the name of the company, contractors license number, etc she started getting irritated and kept asking me more questions....is this for inside or outside work? What kinds of things do you want to get done? I told her I wouldn't give her any more info until I checked out the company. She said they were in culver city so I immediately looked them up and came across the reviews on Yelp. When I asked her the address of the company she hung up on me. And of course the number she called me from you could not call back! Stay away from these SCAMMERS! I would just like to know what their MO is....what are they trying to get you to do? Who in their right miind would allow some stranger who cold calls you on the phone to send another stranger over to your house? I'm going to keep messing with these types of people until they stop! Going to report them now too. If you are serious about selling someone you certainly don't hang up on them when they ask you the hard questions like where are you located! I don't believe a thing "Bobbie" said was true. She sounded pleasant enough....I wonder why she doesn't try to get a legit job and stop scamming. She would feel better about herself. Oh and by the way, she said her husband's name was Jonathan. When I asked for last name it was like she was stumped. She finally came up with Peebles. So yeah, Jonathan Peebles....uh huh. I believe that! read more
