If you're looking for a great spot right next to TCU, you have to check out Jon's Grille. It's become a total tradition for my family--we love to stop by every single time we're in the area visiting my sister at college. Honestly, I have never had a bad experience here. The vibe when you walk in is amazing, and everyone is so friendly there that it just feels like home. It really does the job when you want a solid, reliable meal. I absolutely love the BBQ sandwiches, and the mac n cheese has a great smoky taste that you don't find just anywhere. There is so much to choose from on the menu and lots of meats to pick from, so everyone in the family finds something they love. Their plates are amazing, but there's still so much more I want to try. If you're in Fort Worth, this place is a must!

Food was good. Staff was great nice bar environment. The Pedro burger was really good, but really messy be prepared with napkins.

First time here ! Nice atmosphere! It was my first time here. I stopped in for some burnt ends and a burger. I got talked into the burger of the month. It was topped with Asian slaw. I should have just got the regular burger but I finished all of it because the beef was good and juicy. The burnt ends were over cooked and I didn't finish all of them. The sauce wasn't that great either. I'll give this place another try in the future.

I remember this spot as the Aardvark from my TCU days, so I was surprised to see a restaurant when we went down to visit. This spot had good (deserved) reviews, so we decided to check it out. Think sports bar with elevated selections. This is definitely not your typical wings and pizza spot: the burgers are great and their milk shakes are to die for. The cobbler and s'mores shakes were both delicious and truly a highlight of the meal! I was sold on the featured burger/burger of the month, which was a Hawaiian style burger with grilled pineapple and teriyaki, plus the usual fixings. Overall it was tasty and the fries were good. We had started with some chips and queso which were also a pleasant surprise. I tend to set the bar low for sports bar queso, but this was honestly so good we ordered a second round. Our server was truly amazing: she helped us make our selections (all her recs were superb) and also hooked us up with a larger bowl of queso on our second order. Parking was the only "issue" per se as there really isn't a lot of available space behind the restaurant. We ended up parking on a side street nearby. Overall, this was a fun night with some good food. Would definitely stop by again!

Awesome location! Fantastic service, each and every time that we have visited! Fantastic food from Jon Bonnell! One of the best sports bars in Fort Worth! Fantastic appetizers! Great burgers!

5 Stars across the Board, Great Food, Service,Atmosphere. We had the BBQ Plate with Brisket, Burnt ends which were absolutely perfect our sides were Mexican elote and sweet potatoes fries everything exceeded expectation we started off with the Trainwreck appetizer which consisted of Housemade Fries, Tortilla Chips, Queso, Chopped Brisket, Jalapeños, Scallions & Cilantro. We enjoyed a Margarita and Balconces during the meal. Guys it just doesn't get much better than this we split the platters and brought some home. For what most places are charging for brisket nowadays this absolutely the most reasonable best tasting I've had in quite some time.

I recently tried the brisket and it was fabulous. Bea delivered great service. Queso fries were fantastic too.

Went in for my usual burger, but went with Brisket. Bea allowed me to swap sides and got me the "moist" side of brisket. Fabulous brisket/fabulous service!

Nice bar and restaurant with large seating areas and family-friendly spaces. Super friendly staff and good service. The food was fresh with tender cuts of meat and nice Rye bread. My favorite was the burnt ends... love the flavor!! Chips and queso were good and the salsa was amazing! (It is spicy!) I was excited to try out this spot from some recent reviews on a FB foodie group and I would return to try more. Tips: parking sucks, but worth a short walk if you park on the residential street a few blocks away.

If anything, that actually added to the experience for her. She liked the vibe and inside decor, not because she partakes in cannabis use, but she's not familiar with the 420 culture in the first place so it all kind of stood out. I agree with that as well. The design plays into the theme well! This of course extends to the menu as well. All sandwiches are named after different strains of weed. I got the Kali Mist - a spicy turkey club - on white and my mom got the KGB - a roast beef and horseradish sandich - on garlic herb. As opposed to small, medium, large, the sizes are nug, pinner, and blunt. We both got nug sizes since we weren't too hungry at the time but still wanted to try. Long story short, the sandwiches were absolutely delicious. They're all toasted so the bread provides a great, warm base. The avocado on the Kali Mist stood out for me, providing a nice rich flavor and texture amongst everything else. I tried a bit of the KGB as well and the horseradish gives a nice contrast to the flavorful roast beef. Overall, I would definitely come back again to try out more of the sandwiches.

This particular spot is a deli sandwich place; they do have some standout choices, but I was craving tuna, so I ordered their Pacific Blue (Tuna Melt). Loved that they toasted the buns; it was good but didn't wow me. They skimped on the cheese and didn't add the jalapeños I requested. Service was incredibly slow, but there was a huge rush-hour crowd, so I'll overlook it. All in all, the theme is cool. Loved that they had vendors and music available the day we went; it gave us an opportunity to have something to do while we waited. I did spot board games, but naturally didn't think we'd need them. The goo ball was overly buttery and definitely had peanut butter. It was good for the first couple of bites but I quickly tossed it afterward once it became too much. If a deli is your thing, give it a try. I'm sure on any other given day they'd be better at delivering a sandwich with everything.

The Chinese and Mexican Salads are both amazing! Worth the money! The chicken salad in the case or on the sandwich is another favorite! Get the Blums cake! It is worth every calorie. This most recent visit we skipped it in favor of the strawberry cake which was stale and a big let down. I called later to let them know it should probably be pulled and should have been so a day or so earlier. Near the end of our meal we had a hard time finding a server to check us out I had the breakfast burrito and thought it was yummy! Had the tight seasoning to make for a convincing chorizo taste. I appreciated that it wasn't too potatoey or cheesy, had an overall good balance of ingredients. My partner had the baked potato grilled cheese which was also quite good from the bite I tried. It was my mom's birthday and she was in the mood for Italian. I had heard good things about Pie Tap…read moreso Pie Tap it was! We came in on a cold Monday night. We parked at street parking across the restaurant without issue. Inside, we were promptly seated. The inside is nice and dim with an open kitchen. We started the night off with the Fondue. The rosemary buffs were delicious and the perfect vehicle for the two different dips - goat cheese fondue and pecan pepper jam. I really enjoyed the goat cheese. It was nice and hearty, pairing very well with the bread. The pepper jam added a sweet touch but I'm more a savory person so I was more than content with the cheese itself. My mom got the papparadelle and bolognese while I got the sausage pizza. The papparadelle was nice and al dente. It paired well with the bolognese sauce. However, I felt it was warm when it came out so it got cold quickly. The sausage pizza was delicious! The star of the pie were easily the carmelized onions - added such a perfect level of sweetness that it really elevated the whole dish. The crust also went well with the cheese from the fondue. At this point in the evening, we were feeling pretty full. Nonetheless, our waiter, Seamus, knew it was my mom's birthday. With that in mind, he treated us to the donuts. They came with chocolate sauce and strawberry jam. Both were good. I personally preferred the chocolate since that's what I usually lean more towards. We thought it was such a nice gesture. The night was that much more special because of Seamus. Overall, althrough everything wasn't perfect (not that it should have been), the work and effort was clearly there. Looking forward to coming back again one day.
