I have been to many salons wanting specific hair color and cut. This is the first time in my life that someone actually spoke with me on what I wanted and showed me what color he was going to use. Pierre is awesome and a fantastic stylist. So worth every penny. Also I have to praise Carmen who washes your hair. She has magic hands and put me on la-la land and she had my legs lifted up just like a recliner and stick a fork in me I was in love. I came to this salon and was instantly treated like royalty. First of all, the setting is really comfortable. There's a cozy seating area, my coat was put away for me, and I was offered refreshments. Not to mention in the hair washing and color station, there's a huge television that you can distract yourself from the wait with. The staff was very friendly and made great conversation during my stay. The head wash felt great, it's good enough to be mentioned. Honestly could've sat there getting my head massaged for a while! The actual haircut was great. The stylist (Bishara) gave me tips on how to manage my hair, addressed my concerns, and handled my hair with what I could tell was a lot of experience and craft on his belt. Also, I feel like it's worth noting I'm a trans male, and walking in and having my preference for a man's haircut not only accepted but validated and given a lot of care to was really refreshing. I didn't have to explain myself, or my preferences, and unlike most places where I'm offered a more "feminine" cut, I felt very appreciated here. read more

I have been going to a high end salon in Vienna for years and couldn't get an appointment for 2 weeks so I did the unthinkable- I walked by this place and walked in with no referral . The place wasn't packed to I was a little concerned (later learned they are new). Then I sat down and was even crazier - I gave Pierre the freedom to do whatever he wanted with the tall order that I go to the gym during the work day and need a semi 'wash and go' style that doesn't require a full blow out. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience at Jon Pierre salon. I came in for the first time and was immediately greeted by the owner. I sat down and we started talking about what I was looking to do. My last trip to a different salon resulted in a botched cut and color job. Pierre knew exactly what to do and he very clearly explained how my hair can recover from the botched job. Once we agreed on length and style he got to work. Went to go see master stylist, Mr. Pierre, and let me tell you...best decision ever! He is a true artist with great vision. I'm not sure where these 5 star reviews are coming from, family??? friends??? himself??? because I have gone here twice and both times I did NOT receive the service I went for or was charged for and this salon does NOT deserve 5 stars. The first visit was a complete disappointment and not even close to what I went in for and was stated at the end to me when I said it's not even close to what I wanted, that my hair was too dry for the color I wanted (so he did what he wanted?!?!) and then had the nerve to say, well, if U come back, I can add more blonde?!?! What??? Literally cut ONLY an inch straight across the back, off of my hair, as requested, but, charged me for a full hair cut and style. $187.00 was my charge and this was with a first time 15% discount. I was in shock and extremely disappointed. Decided to try again, for my birthday, 6 months later and had another 15% off for a survey I took and had high hopes it would be better this go around. He took an hour and 10 minutes to even start on my hair, had some attitude female assistant, helping him with a basic low light/highlight, who actually did most of my hair, while sighing in disgust at WHATEVER in my ear, the entire time, while yanking my hair, as she was brushing and blowdrying me bald and not one time put apply products or it...though I mentioned and requested a conditioner or smoother... and not one time did I get to see my hair yet, because I was placed in a seat without a mirror this entire time. So, when it was somewhat dry, I pulled my hair over in front to look at it and was so upset and said, it is ASHY, not blonde... her response, "it's blonder than when you came in" I was fuming at this point. I told her I wanted to see Pierre, who should have been doing my hair to begin with. He comes over saying it looks great, I tell him it's not what I wanted and I can't even see the entire results, he takes me to his chair "FINALLY" and I'm so upset and disappointed and tell him that it doesn't look even close to what I wanted and he basically gave me the same color as the first time I was there, he ignores, I say it again and he says, I think it's nice.... then proceeds to trim another inch off straight off the back again, but, cuts it crooked. at a slant and I make him to it again. Still no products added and I requested my hair straightened and he didn't not to this either. When I tell him I have a 15% off, he refuses to accept and says, " only first time customers get 15% off", until I start to show him the screen shot from the survey and he agrees, as if doing me a favor. I tell him I'm upset that my hair looks exactly the same as the last time and he did it and not even close to what I wanted and he gives me excuses that he needed to TEASE the color in and I refused to have my hair TEASED and that was why....and THEN... has the nerve to say that I owe him "$255.00" this time. I was LIVID at this point even more. I tell him that there is NO WAY that I'm paying that amount for what he did and that he did the same exact thing to my hair as before and it's not what I wanted. He has the nerve to tell me that he could put a toner on it at that point?!?!, which I reply, that should have already been done. Then this man has the nerve to repeat as the first visit.... That I can come back again and he can add more blonde. Is this man serious?!? Then has the nerve to tell me that I didn't get a hair cut last time, which was the same, only a straight across inch off the back. I refused to pay $255. and this was supposedly with the 15%. Robbery!!! He finally says that he will only charge me what he charged me LAST TIME, which was insane at that visit for not doing what I requested then. I was so late for my evening birthday plans at that point and couldn't debate with him any longer and just paid the $187., but, definitely got completely ripped off by this man once again... But, NEVER AGAIN. See the pictures attached and YOU DECIDE if I got what I wanted or worth $187 or the $255 he TRIED to get out of me. I'm just blown away at these hair stylists that DO WHAT THEY WANT instead of what U ASK FOR and at the barest minimum and charge insane amounts of your hard earned money. read more

Review for lashes: I got lash extensions with Ksenia today, and they're beautiful. She gave me the choice of style (cat eye, babydoll, natural, etc). She uses individual lashes and really took her time applying them correctly. I also appreciated that there wasn't much chit chatting-- I just kept my eyes closed and relaxed! read more

I am beyond pleased with my experience at Jon Pierre Salon and Spa! Upon looking at Salons near the mosaic district, I stumbled upon Jon Pierre, one with especially promising photos and reviews. I had an appointment with a sweet man named Engin, who has more than 20 years of experience with hair. I previously had bleached blonde hair but was hoping to return back to my natural dark brown color. After a consultation and coloring, he produced a beautiful deep brown color with subtle highlights to match. It was tastefully done and I received multiple compliments on my hair, however I felt a bit uneasy that my skin tone was too pale for the brown color. A couple days later I called the salon and Engin was very kind and willing to tone my hair to a bit lighter brown at no cost, as a next day appointment. I am in love with my hair color and very appreciative of the great service this salon provides, at a lost cost in comparison to the majority of salons I have visited. I will definitely be returning and I would recommend this salon to anyone!! read more
