Tried Jollibee, and honestly...the 3-star average makes sense. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside, but also very greasy. Flavor was decent, but after a few bites, the oil really starts to take over. The price is reasonable, which I'll give them credit for. Now the famous spaghetti -- it was okay. I went in to get mango peach pies for a quick and easy dessert. The process was easy and wait time was short considering my order and it being a busy holiday time. You can order and pay on the kiosk, that spits out a receipt with your order number. There is a monitor showing pending and ready orders. A friendly human still calls out the order number when your food is ready, then you pick it up at the counter. Jollibee has the best fried chicken! I've come to this location quite a few times and they've always been pretty quick. My last visit I placed an order online and went inside to pick it up. Unfortunately I didn't notice that I was missing one of my drinks until I had already left. I'm not sure how it was missed on their end too because they weren't busy at all when I got my order. Their food was still as good as I remember though. I love their spicy chicken with the rice and gravy sauce. Such a delicious combination! Definitely recommend trying their spaghetti too. It's a bit different than your traditional spaghetti because they include hot dog pieces and the sauce is a bit sweet. But it's one of my favorite menu items. And also make sure you grab their pineapple quencher, it's basically pineapple juice - but nonetheless - it's delicious! Hopefully next time I visit they don't forget one of my items. After I had Jollibee in Alhambra, it became my first choice for fried chicken. I won't have other fried chicken if Jollibee is nearby. I was on a short vacation to Las Vegas and needed something to eat on the way. I checked the map and found a Jollibee in Rancho Cucamonga, not far from the I-210. Just before transitioning to I-15, there are not many restaurants along the way to Las Vegas, so this was the last chance for a good meal. I followed Google Maps and it guided me to Seafood City. There are two big Filipino supermarket chains in Southern California: one is Seafood City and the other is Island Pacific Supermarket and Seafood. Seafood City always has a Grill City attached, while Island Pacific has PhilHouse. Both are Filipino fast food restaurants. I had PhilHouse twice at the Rancho Cucamonga location--very authentic and with good taste. Unfortunately, that location was closed, but fortunately Island Pacific has more than 30 locations, all attached with PhilHouse. Jollibee is inside Seafood City, which makes sense since Jollibee is also a Filipino fast food chain. This time we had a Bucket Treat A, which includes a 6pc Chickenjoy Bucket, and I selected Spaghetti and Mashed Potato for the two sides. The Chickenjoy Bucket had 3 pairs of legs and thighs, as good as always--crispy shell, tender and juicy chicken. By the way, remember to get the spicy one instead of plain. I had both, and the plain one was just flat and normal, but the spicy version had much more flavor. I mentioned in the review of the Jollibee headquarters location that the mashed potato was not made from powder but from real potatoes, so you can taste the potato chunks--very good texture. The Jolly Spaghetti was very cute. It contained several tiny sausage pieces, and both the sausage and the spaghetti were sweet, but a bit too sweet. As a Shanghainese, I really have a sweet tooth, but still couldn't stand that sweetness. By the way, I didn't find any ground beef--maybe this side doesn't include ground beef in its ingredients? Finally got to try the infamous JOLLIBEE! Are they delicious? Yes. Worth the hype delicious? No. I ordered online and was only 10 mins away. Arrived sooner than the expected preparation time, so I thought I would have to wait. My food surprisingly, was ready! The pie and chicken were fresh and delicious, but the fries were trash. Hard and barely warm. The gravy tastes like KFC gravy, TO ME! For my drink I upgraded $1.50 for the mango coconut quenched. That drink needs to be served with a Boba straw, because every sip, my straw kept getting blocked by the mango chunks that are resting at the bottom of the cup, it was so frustrating. Decided to have dinner here after grocery shopping at Seafood City. They had a special advertised- 2 Chicken sandwiches with 2 fries and 2 drinks for $17- so my dad and I ordered this to share. We were there around 730pm Friday 10/17. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and probably the best part about this Jollibee's. Unfortunately- the restaurant itself was dirty- tables not clean, trash on the floor and not really the place to enjoy a meal. The food itself was just ok. A friend of mine was telling me I needed to try Jollibee. My daughter ended up ordering it a couple weeks ago without her sister and I and she liked it! So we opted to give it a try again when we were all together. My kids ordered the deluxe chicken sandwich combo with a lychee iced tea and an original chicken sandwich combo with a root beer. I opted for the spicy fried chicken and an ube pie! The girls enjoyed their sandwiches, my oldest loves their lychee iced tea. I found the chicken to be good, very flavorful and juicy. I came back to the Rancho location after a while! Between the Ontario and the Rancho location, I actually prefer this location as it gives you a full restaurant service and plenty of seatings. The staffs are also more friendly and efficient. The chicken is always available! I ordered the joy bucket which came with 6 pieces of chickens that could be mixed with spicy and non spicy, came with 2 sides: french fries, and mashed potatoes, and we upgraded the drinks to 2 pineapple quenchers. The chickens were so crispy and delicious. I love dipping them in the gravy. Actually the gravy just goes with everything on the table. It's good with the chicken, fries, and mashed potatoes! The food came out quickly and the drinks were given right away after the order was placed. The table turn around was also quick. There will always be a table that opens up. and if there isn't, there are so many tables just outside the Jollibee area, within the Seafood City Supermarket food court. They opened a shop in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca, right off Foothill/Milliken the old Route 66. Customer service is friendly, store is clean. The food is affordable: I tried the traditional 2pc Meal Deal Spicy, with Adobo Rice $1.50 more, Peach Mango Pie, and a soda. They added a small Chickenjoy Gravy on the side. Overall I paid $13.47 after tax which is an excellent price for the quality of food. The Food itself: the chicken was definitely crispy and cooked thoroughly, thus the quality of the meat was the same as Popeyes or any other franchise. I expected a certain texture that will distinguish Filipino flavors from the other big franchises. If you are coming with expectations you might be disappointed at the subpar choice of how they fry chicken. The rice was just rice. The gravy was gravy and the pie was runny with a lack of flavor or fruit of a true peach. 3/5 check Jollibee's out! There's plenty of parking as well. Of course compared to Manila, the prices here are expensive. A meal would cost around 15-17 dollars. The spaghetti is the sweet kind. Typical Filipino version. Everything is okay. But you go here for the chicken. Crispy and juicy, there's 2 version. Spicy and regular. Personally, I go with the regular. You get a cup of gravy that as Filipinos, we mix it with rice as well. Another must is the Peach mango pie. The texture of the crust is spot on, Service wise, most of the staff are Filipinos. Since I was shopping at Seafood City, I decided to make a quick order at Jollibee since my husband has never tried it (I have had Jollibee a few times in the past). My husband enjoyed the chicken. The gravy is a nice added sauce to have with the chicken. The spaghetti is sweet (but that is how Filipinos like it) and the portion size is quite a lot, which was filling. There are sliced hot dog pieces in the spaghetti (because well, you guessed it, Filipinos also like hot dogs). My husband thought the spaghetti was okay and would pass on that on the future. Peach Mango Pie, $2.99 prior to tax- Ordered 2 of these and ended up sharing one with my husband and am saving one for my mom to try. This hand pie is fried and absolutely delicious. Instead of just doing her job, the employee told my mom she'd only clean it if she "asked nicely" and said "please." Sorry, but maintaining a clean dining area isn't a favor -- it's part of the job, especially when people are spending money to eat there. Later, I asked for lemon juice. I was given one, and when I asked for a little more, she claimed it was "one per customer." I had just spent nearly $100 on food for our group -- hardly someone trying to scam the condiment station. After I asked to speak to the manager, she suddenly gave me more without issue. It's frustrating when someone takes constructive feedback personally and decides to take it out on customers. And let me just start off by saying I understand that sometimes restaurants get busy but this establishment was so filthy right away when I walked in you can tell that the dining room hadn't even been cleaned in a long time every table, we tried to sit at was dirty visibly or had trash on it not once the whole time I was there for 30 minutes did a staff member come to the floor to clean or pick up any trash... So I definitely placed my order to go the food was good. It did take some time to come out, but I must say left me wondering how clean the back was like entirely thinking I wonder if the kitchen was is clean I don't know if I would come in again it's a shame it was my second time coming and I never saw it this bad.
