I've given this place multiple chances, but unfortunately today was the final one. The food was extremely disappointing honestly, "unsatisfying" doesn't even begin to describe how upset I felt after taking a bite today. The rice was cold and dry. Period. My fiance and I ordered 3pc chicken meal and 3pc pork meal, 2 bibinka and 2 Thai teas(Thai tea were legit not the powdered stuff you get from few boba spots) . I was surprised to find a Filipino spot nearby. I found this place randomly on yelp and decided to try them out. The food was good. The bbq chicken had a lot of flavor the first time we had it but the following week and it tasted a little different but still not bad. The java rice was the same, good the first time but tasted different and dry the following week. We went here twice and wanted to try the chicken inasal but they keep running out of it. I'll return again because i would want to eventually try the chicken inasal but also see if the flavor is consistent. Since I don't know of any Filipino food around Fontana area, I couldn't wait to try! I called in my orders for pick up. We tried the ff: 1. Pork bbq stick 3 pieces meal - delish! 2. I found this gem of a place on Yelp searching for a barbecue place near me. I ordered the 3 pcs. Pork bbq meal, the boneless bangus meal, and two crispy patas over the phone for pickup. The service was excellent and friendly. The server and cook were very helpful explaining what other food items they have. The food quality was excellent and very tasteful. First visit to this location. They had a soft opening in August 2023. As we entered the restaurant we fed our phone first , took pictures of the interior and menus. The restaurant walls are decorated by framed inspirational quotes! A gentleman at the counter greeted us warmly with that Filipino hospitality. Romnick reminded us that my food order will take at least 30 -40 minutes. Well that's ok , because the Pork Menudo was already cooked at the buffet warmer so we ate while waiting for our to go order!! Came here on a Sunday not busy in fact were the only customers when we got there since there are 4 of us I did ask the lady in the counter I believe one of the owners what's good can she recommend she mentioned it's better to order the family meal where you can order 3 kinds of meat a pound each comes with rice. But the problem is she said no rice and said won't be available for 35 minutes at least. Oh well can't believe it being in a Filipino restaurant and no available rice. What we did we ask for noodles instead of rice we also ordered crispy pata. Saw the guy in the kitchen preparing everything which is good knowing it's done fresh but he did something he should not have done in front of customers I know he thought I did not see him he was grabbing meat to grill and he dropped it on the floor he picked it up and placed it in the grill was really sad to see that . When they served it did not eat the barbecue the crispy pata was good until we got the meat part it was cold was crispy on the outside though. The place was clean though but the restroom is out of order which is not good. I know I should have said something about the meat incident but I'm not sure why I did not . Im not one to put horrible reviews- but one thing that truly irks me and annoys menus when your menu doesn't match what you're charging me. That is unacceptable to say " oh we haven't updated the pricing on our menu board yet. That is weights and measures violation. First time here - They opened Sept 2023 - so I decided to go to their restaurant and see what my takeout options were. Wait time was 25 minutes - a decent time considering I ordered a lot: 1. Chicken Inasal with Java rice and three small containers containing one side of atsara (pickled papaya); a soy based sauce and a sweet orange sauce. The chicken was grilled perfect - juicy, tender, and no traces of uncooked meat on the bones. I think this is their flagship. The rice was nice and fluffy. Next time - I would ask for 3 additional sides of the soy based sauce and not get the orange sweet sauce - that's just my preference - to each his own. 2. Sisig Ala carte- Traditionally this is served in a cast iron sizzling plate in other high end Filipino dine in restaurants. This restaurant is not positioned in that market though. It's more of a non-ambiance, quick semi fast food market - which is great for busy bodies like me. Having understood that, I was willing to make my own sizzling version at home and crisped the sisig up on my cast iron pan. As a sauce- I mixed up my own concoction mixture of vinegar, chili peppers diced, and some soy sauce and chopped onions and garlic. It's as close as I could get to an authentic version without having to prepare it from scratch. 3. Liempo ala carte - our family is "extra". We have our own ways and expectations for Filipino food and are way too critical. We however, taste first, then figure out what would make us happier and fix it. So we like our liempo a little on the crisp side. So the way it came out from the restaurant was perfectly juicy and ready to eat but we decided to put it into our air fryer for 8 minutes and bam - the marinade penetrated into the meat while the fatty tissues were crisped out - akin to the classic Kansas City style barbecue - burned tips. It was like a fusion of American Filipino cuisine. Of course we used the same sauce we prepared for the sisig as a sauce dip. Filipino dishes and side sauces is like French fries and ketchup. We have to have it to the point that we have coined a term for it "Sawsawan". If you don't have these side sauces plentiful - then it diminishes the dining experience. My suggestion to management is to be generous in their "sawsawan". As consumers, we understand that there is a cost. So increase the sides and if you encounter customers who want more than extra then charge a nominal fee - you're not that big yet though so I would just charge it to goodwill and brand development. Your choice obviously - but just give us an option right off the bat, before you turnover the order so your product is complete. 4. Lumpiang shanghai - pork. They have an option for vegetables but we opted for the more traditional pork. It came with sweet sauce which again - we didn't really like. We have a bottle of Thai chili orange sweet sauce and it was perfect with the lumpiang shanghai. There were leftovers the following day so we just air fried them for 5 minutes and they were perfectly crisped. 5. Pancit bihon - was pre - prepared canteen style. It was good with a little dash of lemon. 6. Small bibingka's - we had this for breakfast the following morning. We have a toaster with a heating grill on top to warm pastries and croissants. We used this to heat the Bibingkas. Again - we are extra- so I put some 15 second microwaved salted eggs(available in Asian groceries) and mashed the melted yolk with the warm bibingkas. Perrrfect!!! I ate one and a half all to myself. You can ako just drop some melted butter on top as an option. Again - to each his/her own. In a nutshell - if I don't want to do any extra work - the best option for me would be to get their Chicken Inasal and ask for a lot more sides of soy based sauce - say 4 more. I still have to try their Grilled squid and fish plates; barbecue on a sticks and will keep you posted. Enjoy fellow yelpers. Hope you can support this local Filipino restaurant so we all have options for our cravings. I will give them five stars because there is no option for 4-1/4 stars. Hope management takes this review with a grain of salt. read more

Tried this earlier today. Had the pork lumpia and bibinka. The pork lumpia was excellent! They use a nice quality wrapper that gives it a nice crunch. It was perfectly fried and meat seasoned nicely. It's more of a casual dining type restaurant with limited seats. But the service staff is nice and the restaurant is clean. The food takes a little longer than expected but it appears like there's only one cook and the food is made to order. It took at least 25 mins for the lumpia and bibinka to be served. The bibinka was nice and soft. Moist and fluffy on the inside. Very tasty and had bits of coconut inside. One of the better Filipino restaurants around the area.
