Updated - 6/7/20: No police managing traffic; two lanes on Route 1 North are block by cars going to Jollibee. Better option is to call ahead during the day, park across the street in Shoprite and just walk over to pick up your order. Next door businesses (Miller and Audi) have closed off their parking areas. Heard from workers that the lines do die down a bit after 6PM. Jollibee opening today, 6/6/20. Waited about 45 minutes to get our order; drive thru lines was spilling over the highway; there is a police car making sure lines are orderly. Call ahead and pickup line was not as long so might be the best option. There is a $60 max per order. Got 2 buckets of 6 pc Chicken Joy: one regular and the other spicy, 5 peach mango pies, 2 Yumburgers, adobo rice and a family size spaghetti for $58. Chicken were crispy and very juicy. Pies were sweet and delicious. Spaghetti could use more meat but still good. Adobo rice was perfect with the Chicken. Saving the Yumburgers for snack later on . Items not available to order yet: - breakfast menu items - Aloha burger - pancit palabok Can't wait for those to come out. After having a bad experience at the VA location ( they didn't have spaghetti because of covid reasons which is dumb! Well, I am in NJ for the week. My s.o job training is in NJ. I told my s.o who is Pinoy I said omg they have Jollibee here! He said oh really? I said yes can I have this for lunch? He said sure! I ordered from Door Dash. I ordered 2 chicken which is a thigh and a wing along with spaghetti. I kept saying holy crap this is good! I was talking to myself in the room. This is delicious for fast food! I had a feeling I will like spaghetti and I did. I also got pineapple juice and mango pie. You must get the pineapple juice! It is so refreshing. The only reason why I'm Giving it 4 stars because my food arrived kind of cold so I had to heat it. After reading the negative reviews on here. It's always that 1 Karen or Kevin who leaves a pretentious comment about the food to affect the business from striving. I don't get the hype at all. I went on a weekday and still blocked a lane of traffic pulling in. They had someone guiding you in 2 lanes to the order window, but there is a merge and only 1 speaker taking orders. I got the family pack and a burger. Hamburger was like a piece of broiled mystery lunch meat with awful cheese- stay all the way away from that. Gross. Fried chicken was the same quality as KFC, but with a less tasty batter. 1 piece had too much and formed a giant grease ball of batter. I'll say this- the chicken was cooked perfectly. Pasta sauce was sweet and had fried hotdog and ham in it? Ok, I guess. Wife was too weirded out to eat it so I had a LOT to myself. Due to what I can only assume was Staffing shortages and covid their dining room was closed. To further complicate things the online ordering system was not working. I drove an hour to give them a try sadly they did not have their spicy chicken in stock but I did order all their other signature dishes. The food was good and filling and despite parking me because of the size of my order the service was quick the only reason that I'm knocking them one star is because I ordered a lot of food and they didn't give me any silverware to eat it. Worst drive thru experience I ever had in this time of year even they had a person who control the traffic. He dress as a normal guy asking people go around. No one know who he was and asking people open the window to deliver his message. The important thing is HE DID NOT HAS MASK and it is WITHIN 6 FEET. No one will open a window to listen to you when you did not follow the rule first. After we did go round 2 times, and we finally had a opportunity to go in their parking lot. That guy asking us to go around again. We decided to wait. After other drivers move closely to each other, we able to pull in. That traffic guys still mad with us not following his instructions and knocking on our window without open it. Route 1 is a public road. I don't know how he act like a police officer to demand people what to do. If you are police officer, show you badge. Food is overall is good. My family love it. All the staffs is wearing mask to keep other safe. If that traffic control guy put on his mask and to his job right to move cars inside the parking lot. Easy to have 5 stars from us. read more

They were taking indoor orders and offering indoor dining when I visited on 2/4. Giving them 2 stars because of the atrocious wait times for a "fast" food restaurant. Waited in line for 20 minutes to order and another 20 minutes to receive my order. Food was good but not stellar. Chicken and gravy are comparable to kfc. Alright I'm Filipino so liking Jollibee is in my DNA. I'm excited that there is one nearby. However, I think that it's a shame that I've been here multiple times during different times of day to see that the amount of workers is basically the same and can't keep up with the demand. For example, we waited in the parking lot over 30 minutes for our food that we ordered via drive thru and to find out that there were only 3 workers inside. There were at least 3 other cars parked and waiting for their food as well. We didn't even order a lot of food this time. The inside wait time isn't any different. This is absolutely NOT the fault of the workers. I feel that the owner should take responsibility and hire more workers, and prevent burn out and unhappiness with their current employees. This would, in turn, increase customer satisfaction. Every employee there is nice and I've always had great interactions with all of them. It's sad that they have to pick up the slack of a 4-5 person team when they may only have 3 people in at a time. I have no complaints about the food. I haven't been back to the Philippines in 16 years so it's nice to have something like this close by. Moral of the story, please don't keep a place understaffed especially with how long youve been open. read more

Best... fried chicken... EVER!!! The last time I had fried chicken this good, we could travel overseas w/o quarantining and I was on the other side of the world. The batter is not only super crispy but also super flavorful as well. The meat (thigh and leg) was extremely juicy too. I'm salivating as I'm writing this review at the moment. The sauce is kinda watery; it soaked the bun and just dripped everywhere as I was eating so I recommend resisting the urge to eat it in your brand new car and go home first (I was in my friend's car at the time). My friend recommended giving their Peach Mango Pie a go (wasn't expecting a fruit burrito but ok). I am usually not a fan of fruit in baked goods but it wasn't bad. The filling was simple and not too sweet and surrounded by a buttery flaky crust. If you're not like me and actually enjoy stuff like this, I recommend trying it out for yourself. Usually I would mention the price of my meal and tell you if it is worth the price but not this time. It doesn't matter if Jollibee charges one whole Bitcoin for their chicken. I say sell your house and buy it anyway! It's that good! The only reason I docking a star on what is otherwise a rave review is because I had to wait hours to get my lunch (and also my dinner) and I was dying. He was in line waiting for his turn and he was waiting for awhile coz nobody was in the register. One young lady was standing there so he asked where he can order and she said "i dont know im on my break" So he said...ok but is there somebody else who can take the order? She just raised her hand and said, well its my break time. Im not working right now. Wow, i mean, you still work there right? The staff couldve asked another member to help if shes on her break, but she was still hanging out at the register. He went back to order again and when he asked for the receipt, another staff responded with, oh thats not my job. And he was confused coz all he was asking for was for his receipt. So idk why the employee couldnt just hand it to him. Annoyed coz i found out abt this when we got home. But seriously, perhaps this location's staff need more training abt how To help Customers, how to handle it when they are on their break time hanging out at the register, how To redirect to the proper staff who can help, whos available. Location is extremely convenient right on a highway. Service was very prompt and staff was very friendly. I had never heard of this establishment before so I decided to check it out. I ordered the amazing aloha meal with a side of fries and a Sierra Mist because they do not have Sprite and I wanted to try a peach mango pie. I pretty much love pineapple on everything but this burger was very fresh the pineapple was very sweet and the bacon was crispy. 10/10 . After paying for my meal they told me that the peach mango pie would be an eight minute wait but they had another pie UBE which is limited edition and they recommended I try it and I'm happy they did , it was actually quite delicious. i came here today to try this new Filipino place that i've wanted to try forever! i ordered a variety of food including the rice, spicy chicken, mash potatoes, and the peach-mango pie. the chicken had a good amount of spiciness and crunch, and the rice was flavorful. although, the pie was a bit bland. this place did mention that "they ran out of chicken" so we had to wait a bit. overall, its a fried chicken place with a Filipino twist to it, i only gave it 3 starts because it's not my favorite and it tastes very similar to other places such as KFC's and Popeye's. read more

i came here with my mom two times when we were in jersey and let me just say. This was my first time eating at Jollibee since the Jersey City location is pretty far from me. I was waiting for the crowd to die down a bit so I went in July, a few weeks after it opened, but it was still crowded as ever! But it was worth the 30 minute wait! I really loved every single thing I ordered (Chickenjoy, spaghetti, mashed potatoes, and of course the peach mango pie!). The food is delicious and I was craving it for weeks on end after I went! My only slight complaint is that I ordered adobo rice and the staff forgot to include that (and I saw a similar complaint on here from someone else) but I'm hoping it is just an issue because of the craziness right now and as the staff/management gets used to how busy this spot is, they will be able to handle all the orders more carefully. I completely understand how fast the staff must have to work, so I'm not trying to be annoying, but definitely just take a second in the drive thru to check that you got everything you ordered. I went for my first time to try Jollibee in the Edison location I ordered the chicken sampler deal which comes as 6pc Chickenjoy bucket, 3pc Chicken Tenders w/ dip, and 2 Chicken Sandwiches. Chickenjoy bucket I ordered 3 spicy and 3 original I like spicy food so spicy was ok nothing spectacular and the original was below average, then chicken tender was also below average nothing crazy about it, lastly the sandwich I ordered spicy as well which it comes with jalapeños so it was good but the bun that it was served on it was not fresh at all almost like a cardboard texture. So I didn't like this experience I wouldn't promote it as a top tier chicken like you see on their ads because it's not. read more

Service is very poor. The place is so under/poorly staffed and managed. Walked in to place an order and was told only drive through or online orders were being taken. The cashier stations were open but unmaned and the 'manager' didn't have time for taking walk in orders. Online orders were over an hour wait. The drive through was backed up all the way down rt1 past the traffic lights, so dangerous! This could have been alleviated by allowing clients to park and order inside, rather than waiting on a highway! Very poorly managed and operated! Hope they get their act together soon. read more

I'm so confused by the cult status of Jollibee. The "star" item...the chicken, was kinda gross. The skin was super crispy and tasty, but that was the only edible bite for me. Underneath the batter was thick layers of yellow, rubbery fat. The two piece order of chicken went in the trash. Came with gravy, not a fan even on the fries. Next the spaghetti, the thing I was sure I would hate was tasty in a bizarre way. I had to know how they made it so I looked up the copycat recipe and apparently it has condensed milk in the sauce! That would explain the sweetness. The only thing I ate though. Like spaghetti-O's I ate as a child with slices of hot dogs. I tasted my friends yum burger, the larger one not the small one. Been waiting for this place to open for a while. It's a lot easier than going to jersey city for Jollibee when this place opened in Edison. Main complaint is drive thru wait times. It takes a while to get your order compared to other fast food places. Understandably this place opened during COVID so things can change. But food was great and correct! Some improvements I would suggest are Faster drive thru wait times. Have all items on menu available at all times. Have staff who speak native language to people who speak native language towards them. Outdoor eating area would be nice. Cook food properly. More accurate orders (don't forget items).
