Worth the hype! Food is delicious but the lines are insane. Be prepared to wait. Kids were excited to try this jollibee thing they see all their favorite youtubers eating. I was pretty curious about it myself. We grabbed the fried chicken combo, mac and cheese, and the ube pie for dessert. The fried chicken was solid. Nice crispy coating with juicy meat inside. The gravy they give you on the side is super savory and pairs perfectly with it. They were very generous with the gravy too. Everyone got a cup to dip their chicken in. The mac and cheese was creamy and had a good cheesy flavor, though I'd probably get a little more spice or seasoning next time to take it up a notch. The star of the show for me was the ube pie. That thing is dangerously good. Flaky, crispy fried crust with a smooth, not-overly-sweet ube filling that actually tastes like real purple yam. It's a nice twist on the usual fast food pies and definitely worth trying if you like ube or even just sweet potato flavors. I'd highly recommend this one over the regular apple pies they serve. Super long line. So I ended up just navigating to the website and ordering online there - had my order in before I moved 2 stops. Only one person at the cashier, rest were busy packing and making orders. I went and finished some other orders and picked up that food, came back, and my food was ready for pickup (text message). Nice and simple. The folks I was behind - still in line. I mean, it's fried chicken... they need to be faster than this. Why people want to wait for 10+min in line is beyond me. Anyway - the review: chicken is super big but very fatty. Must breed them that way, b/c each piece had a ton of greasy and oiliness that was missing from the smaller birds I've had at other shops. Gravy was best with their fries and their biscuits. The salty/meaty aroma didn't combine as well and while it masked the bland greasiness of the chicken, didn't really do much to make it enjoyable for me. Pass on the chicken. The line is pretty long here as there are only 2 cashiers, but it moves in a timely fashion. We ordered six pieces fried chicken meal deal, ube and mango peach pies, and also the spaghetti and fries as the sides. Jollibee hits different when you are starving. I didn't have the mango peach pies this time, but I did have the ube pie and it was delicious. I feel like there's a huge market for fried chicken out there whether it's Korean fried chicken or Louisiana fried chicken, etc but this time it's Filipino fried chicken. They all taste so different. Every time we go to American Dream, we have to come here bc my daughter loves Jollibee- me on the other hand, I'm not really a big fan + I think the NY locations taste better. We got the Jolly Spaghetti & OG flavor Chickenjoy meals, which comes with savory gravy, a biscuit & adobe rice as well as a pineapple quencher & peach mango pie. Mind you, the line is very long so be prepared to wait especially after 12 pm. The Jolly Spaghetti was good even though there were more sauce than spaghetti, adobo rice was bland, biscuit was soft & buttery, the chicken was juicy & flavorful but some of the outer parts had too much thick breading that was hard & inedible. Just about every culture around the world has fried chicken, because fried chicken is goddamn delicious. I've been hearing about Jollibee, the fast, famed, Filipino entry into the world's fried chicken games for years, but I'd never had the pleasure until I set foot in the American Dream Mall. There's no question that this is the big draw in the food court. I would recommend heading over at least a half hour before you want to be eating, as there was a long line, and once we got to the front the staff warned us it was about a 20 minute wait for our orders. We weren't about to NOT get anything after waiting in line and smelling the chicken go out, so we got a big bucket of the original fried chicken, and a big bucket of the spicy korean barbecue. We also threw in an ube pie, and decidedly no spaghetti because it freaks me out. The fried chicken? Really, really tasty. Both the original and the KBBQ. The latter was spicy and so, so saucy...I actually preferred dipping my original in the leftover sauce at the bottom of the bucket. Anyway, if you are in the market for some fried chicken, this is where you want to be. We over-ordered, so I ate so much that it ended up being my only meal of the day. However, I imagine they use an unconscionable amount of salt, as I couldn't drink enough water for the next 24 hours. Out of all the food options at the American Dream mall, Jollibee has the longest wait line. This location doesn't have the full menu so I opted for the Limited menu - Korean flavored wings and drummy bucket. The line moved quickly so don't be scared when you show up and the line wraps all the way over to the ramen shop. After a short wait, I was told that the Korean flavored wings/drummy were sold out! Instead of getting a refund (and was super hungry at this point -130pm) i asked for spicy bucket. When I retrieved the order, one of the staff gave me a mango pie freebie and two extra wings! The adoba rice to my surprise was very good, there's a Southeast Asia kind of flavor. The peach mango pie is a must have dessert. The crust is fried and blends perfectly with the hot peach and mango stuffing. Pineapple quencher has become one of my favorite drinks. This location is a little crazy though. It's always so busy and they run out of things which they have to make more. We were told the spicy chicken would take a while because they had to make them. The pineapple quencher was also out but didn't take long to make. Service is decent given how busy they are. It's in the main food court which is rather busy during meal times. We came here on a Sunday night, so there were lots of people and not a lot of seating since you are in the middle of the food court. It took around 10 minutes for us to make it to the top of the line and order our food, and it then took another 15 to 20 minutes to get it which seems like a lot for a fast food place in my opinion, in the main three stars instead of four. I got their spicy chicken sandwich combo which came with fries and a drink. The fries were OK pretty solid, not a lot of seasoning but if they had a sauce to mix it with it'd be better. The chicken sandwich was pretty good, I like that it came with fresh jalapeño so when I bit it into them, they gave it a very nice flavor - I would've liked there to be more than two small ones since it didn't fully cover the sandwich but again, this is a fast food place so I understand that the standards are not as high. Overall, I may try a different Jollibee location that is a lot less crowded than this one. Their chicken sandwich is definitely better, in my opinion, than Popeyes and Chick-fil-A. read more

This Jollibee is so busy all the time (as it is in the second biggest mall in America!!!) but the workers are all still very nice and helpful. The chicken is delicious but not worth the headache. As I'm currently writing this review, I've waited over 30 minutes for a simple 2 piece chicken + 1 side. The restaurant is chaotic with no organized system of always having a fresh batch of chicken available, which is their main item. There are a lot of staff squeezed to work in a small space and it's a dirty and claustrophobic environment. My 2 pieces of chicken were delicious: juicy on the inside with a crunchy skin and gravy sauce on the side. However, the side of fries it came with were warm instead of hot and had lost their crispiness. Also, this is not directly the fault of the staff, but a rude lady cut me while I was in the middle of ordering to interject about wanting to make adjustments to her own order. The cashier paused with me and tried to address this lady's request, when what he should have done is politely remind her that he was currently finishing up with serving me and would get to her afterwards. I've been wanting to try Jollibee again since my brother got takeout from the Manhattan location a few years ago, and I ate his leftovers. Haha! I remembered it being good, but I was a bit disappointed with this location. I ordered the 2pc Chicken with Jolly Spaghetti - Chickenjoy Meal Deal for $12.99, and the Peach Mango Pie for $2.99. Despite being dark meat pieces, the chicken was dry, so you needed to use the gravy just to give it more moisture. The spaghetti had pieces of sausage in it, and it was okay. I know that the sauce is on the sweeter side because it's hot they traditionally prepare it but was little too sweet for me. Fortunately, the peach mango pie was just as good as I remembered it to be. Crunchy flaky crust, with a nice hot gooey filling. If I get another chance, then I would like to try the Palabok Fiesta or just try the Manhattan location in the future. read more

I was intrigued enough to try one of the New Jersey locations as many of the menu items are that same as what are offered at its flagship location. For my first try, I chose the 2-piece chicken with biscuits and one side along with the peach-mango pie for dessert. To my surprise, the chicken was perfectly prepared, crispy, and absolutely delicious! Unlike other fried chicken establishments, the batter is not too salty, and is so yummy that I wouldn't mind if they sold a side of battered chicken skin. The chicken comes with a side of gravy their signature gravy. I am not someone who typically eats gravy, but it has a nice flavor. The biscuits are soft and buttery. I was glad that I chose two more biscuits as my "one side" options. My meal was enjoyable and better than expected. If you know Jollibee, then this mall location is no different than any of the other extremely popular locations anywhere across the country. If you don't know Jollibee, then you have to climb out from under that rock OR just google them :) The food - fried chicken with gravy, spaghetti, dessert pies - are as good as you'll find at any of their restaurants. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'll put their fried chicken up against Popeyes any day - THAT's how good it is. And, just like their stand-alone restaurants, there is going to be a longgggggg line on weekends as we encountered on the Saturday afternoon we came. Luckily for us, we ordered online via the app way ahead of time and came to pick up, so we didn't have to wait on the line to order like the many people who were aging before my very eyes. With that said, our order STILL wasn't ready on time and I found out why once I arrived - because the workers were churning out lots and lots of orders like it was the end of the world. Bottom line - you know what you're getting here if you've had Jollibee before. This was absolutely the most disgusting chicken I have ever scene. I took 2 bites and threw out a 3 piece. Those 2 bites got me a little bit. nauseous. I see others review this and say it's juicy and tender. That's not juicy, that's oil. And it's drenched in oil. Wow!! I have never been to a Jollibee where the line was so long! This place is definitely popular at the food court. Did I wait in that crazy line?! Of course I did. The employees did an excellent job. They had 2 employees taking orders for the customers in line so by the time you got to the register, all you had to do was tell them your name, pay, and your order would be ready. I blame Anthony Bourdain for my insane desire to try Jollibee. My brain just could not comprehend that spaghetti with the hot dogs and banana ketchup with American cheese. What kind of maniac would put those things together? And, as a stoner, I NEEDED to taste it. Would it be like spaghettios?
