I will continue to come back and support this business! I hope you have a wonderful experience if you decide to come too!

FYI counter young person, here's the secret menu that you knew nothing about. One supposes staff need not learn this and hence does not need to advise a customer's query -- https://parade.com/food/in-n-out-secret-menu. Per the usual -- limp, greasy, cardboard fries. Worst ever. Even worse than Five Guys fries. As mentioned friend asked me to go here. Not a burger place I would choose. And yet drive thru snaked through parking lot and out onto the street. Double cheeseburger was good. Not exceptional. Self serve beverage choices good. C+. Ok B-.

I'm writing this review to share for those exploring…read moreAlameda Island that Southern Comfort Kitchen has a few locations throughout the East Bay (and many may know this restaurant for its food truck), but they now has a new(er) location in Alameda. As a parent, I never knew how much I would appreciate a drive-thru at spots like Walgreens, Starbucks, and now, an actual restaurant! It's the little things sometimes that really help to take the heavy lift off, while giving back the flexibility and energy to the driver :) While I can't speak for the interior of the restaurant, we did roll through the drive-thru to test it out over the weekend while exploring Alameda and all of its charm. On a Saturday evening it seemed like they were pretty swamped, and no one was responding at the drive-thru window so we figured maybe it was closed. We pulled up and my husband got out of the car to confirm before we pulled away with a worker inside the restaurant and they apologized. Almost immediately someone came to the window and gave us printed menus because we had already passed the digital menu part of the drive-thru. We ordered hush puppies, a fried shrimp po' boy sandwich, mac n' cheese, and bread pudding. Oh wee, we had a feast when we arrived home and reheated everything! I think they may still be working out some kinks, but I'm open to trying the drive-thru again next time we're in town post brewery fun. A drive-thru in the East Bay for Cajun bites? Very cool! I've explored their menu before and wow, that bread pudding! Special. Would go back for that alone to try it hot from the oven!

DoorDash came on time, but it was delayed, which is normal during lunch hours bag was sealed and everything and of course they forgot in order so I tried calling and calling and calling and no one picks up which is so frustrating.. The food here is mid and so expensive. On doordash can you even order 1 order of beignets that comes in 3, the minimum order is 12. We ordered the seafood gumbo, the Cajun crab fries, cajun fries the fountain drink, and a Muffaletta that never came My seafood gumbo came w 1 shrimp. Cajun fries not well seasoned.

I parked my car to walk into the restaurant and a security guard was as the door saying the restaurant isn't open and I'd have to go through drive thru. I figured this was due to the area so I hopped in my car and got confused in the parking lot trying to find the drive thru. There's two lanes for the drive thru and I'm not sure how they decided who went first but it seemed that the outer lane was moving faster than the inner lane. When I finally got my order in, everything was pretty quick from there and the lady at the window was nice enough but a bit flustered. When I got home, I was disappointed when I opened my meal. The chicken strips were so small even if they were nicely made. This is different from what I've been used to in Portland, Hawaii and Vegas. The past few experiences here they forget something or something is missing from the burrito/ burger. In the past they have forgotten to give us the hash browns so we have to go back. Another time, they forget the sausage in the burrito, again had to go back. And this last time, I didn't get what breakfast sandwich, I asked for. Apparently, the online menu varies by location and not everything on the menu is available at all locations. That's fine, I understand but if someone orders something you don't carry then speak up! Don't assume or substitute the order to what you think I wanted. With that said, I did the survey on the receipt as well as reached out to Jack in the box online though the contract us link. I did hear back within 20 minutes or so. This person reached out to me by text message, not calling me. I prefer to discuss complaints over the phone, not by text message. I feel text messages doesn't get the point across correctly and takes more time to text back and forth. Long story short, he asked me to come back and they could fix the order. I'm not going back and forth again. 2nd asked me if I confirmed the order on the screen. I said, I was not able to since the employee had the total on the screen before I could review it. 3rd then blamed it on the names of the sandwich are similar. Then told me, he would forward my issue to the manager and corporate office, so you're not the manager! Apparently it was the supervisor. (Not sure, if it really was the supervisor). I feel he should have identified himself at the beginning of the text and informed me he the supervisor of the location. Besides not getting what I ordered. The food, we did receive was correct but not good. I also ordered a hash brown and it was dripping in oil and falling apart soft. My husband order a burger and they drenched it in mustard. If ZERO stars was an option, it would have got 0 stars. Just ridiculous and a waste of money. Not going back anymore!
