Jollibee: 2670 5th Street Pad A, Alameda, CA 94501, 20260820

We like the Jollibee in Alameda. It closes at 10:00 pm on weekdays. We just arrived at Emeryville to drop off our daughter at college for her junior year. We were craving for fried chicken and found Jollibee to be only 15 minutes away. There was plenty of parking outside and the interior is fully lit and clean. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The cashier at the front was attentive and made sure we had everything we ordered by reviewing all the items on the receipt. We ordered two pieces of chicken Joy with rice and spaghetti. The chicken was crunchy and the meat was tender and juicy. This location did not have palabok noodles though but they do have them in San Diego. Either way, everything we ordered was delicious and completed our meal with A treat of peach pies.

Thankful for this Jollibee location in Alameda. Before this location opened, I'd head to the location in Serramonte Mall to get my Jollibee fix. Now it's just a short drive away! My go to is always the 2 piece chicken combo with mashed potatoes and a root beer or pineapple quencher. The chicken is always so tender I question if it's fully cooked but it isn't bloody and perfectly crispy on the outside. Tonight I ordered a deluxe spicy chicken sandwich combo to try something different. My first few bites into the sandwich made me think they gave me an original chicken sandwich. It wasn't until the last few bites that I saw a jalapeño and tasted a little spicy sauce. It would have been nice to have it more uniform throughout the sandwich but it did give me a chance to taste what both the original and spicy sandwiches would taste like. I'll definitely be back and order this again. Thanks Jollibee!

Stopped in to try their bacon avocado chicken sandwich ($9 for sammie only and about $14 for the combo with fries). I was pleasantly surprised. The breaded chicken breast was crispy on the outside and not dry inside at all. The bacon was decent, though I wished they gave more than just a thin slather of mashed avocado. Overall still a decent fried chicken sandwich that I would get again.

Fried Chicken. Yum!

It had been a while since I have been to Jollibee. We were in the mood for fried chicken and choices are very limited and even Gross in the city. Jollibee is something different in a market saturated with Asian food of all kinds. Mind you, the Asian food in the Bay is the best, but sometimes something different is in order. Jollibee has a tasty looking menu with fried chicken, chicken sandwiches, burgers, spaghetti, noodles and more. I thought the chicken was good and far better than some other local offerings. The spaghetti for me would take a little getting used to. Having grown up with an Italian family, the Jollybee spaghetti is definitely not the norm with Italian cooking, but is much more common in Filipino circles. To me it's Ketchupy. Still it adds to the interest of having something different. I should say my kids do like it. Yeah, I'd definitely eat Jollibee again. I've heard the Adobo rice us really good. I'll definitely try that next time!

Very friendly quick service. Appreciate the super crisp just from the fryer crispy fried chicken. I also ordered the fried chicken sandwich which was delicious and I substituted an ube pie for the peach pie. Very clean interior and employees are constantly cleaning.

Came here two days in a row First day experience - service was poor Food delivery was 20 minutes with no explanation, but the spicy chicken sandwich was on fire Came again with co workers who is their fan Had the kbbq chicken - saucy and good , it's sweet but needs an extra kick. The pineapple quench was a surprise. Not what I expected very fruity and fresh. It redeems itself after all.

Hello Jollibee, Alameda! I was in the area and exploring the options around me for dinner when I came upon this location ~ I was SO excited because it's not everyday I get to indulge in a little bit of Filipino comfort food. The Vallejo location is a bit far for us, so this was the perfect moment to truly enjoy + also take a few things home for the fam. We went with Chicken Tenders served with the Signature Tender Sauce (FYI this is a great dipping sauce and topper for breakfast eggs too!), the 2pc Chickenjoy with Jolly Spaghetti, the Pineapple Quencher, Peach Mango Pie, side of Baked Cheddar Mac N Cheese, and side of Mashed Potatoes. To be honest, the family loved every moment of it! I'm not sure if Jollibee always had such a wide selection of chicken sandwiches on their menu, but would love to come back another time while I'm in the area to give one a try. Pricing is fair, plenty of street parking and parking within the shopping center, and to note..they don't like to create waste as they near their evening closing, so they make to order! This seems to be the spot to be ~ it was def. poppin with a mix of different aged groups. Fun service, hit the spot!

They gave me four pieces for the three piece order because they felt the pieces were on the small side. Nice!

I've been here 3 more times since my first review after the Grand Opening. And I don't get all the bad reviews now. Each time, the chicken is as sublime as ever, always with that irresistibly delicate crunch and a tenderness that permeates every mouthful. It seems most of the down reviews are because of the service. Complaints of slow orders or ones with mistakes. But I've always had great service and perfect orders. Granted, I do come at later hours to avoid the meal time rush. But I think it can be expected if orders take quite a bit longer or more mistake prone if there are longer cues. Which is why I don't visit during those times. Each time I do come, the chicken not only arrives fast, but it's handed over at the pick-up area by a very eager manager or monitor, who is quick to grant any of my special requests: Hot sauce packs and honey packs. Also, the last time, it was the end of the night, and only smaller pieces were left, so they gave me four pieces for my three piece order. That's creative customer service! I always sit down to chow down on a piece even if I had planned to take it home, because the freshly fried, steaming hot bite is too irresistible. And even if it's cooled down some after I take it home, it's still mouth-boggling. I'm already thinking of my next visit. But my waistline warns me to wait for visit number 4. My tummy says why wait when you can simply add it to the list of Thanksgiving and Christmas meals I will promise to work off for my 2026 year resolution? Boy, that tummy can be a sneaky little devil...

Just delicious! I am always so jealous of places that have Jollibee... hopefully getting one soon in MA? Haha. We always make it a point to stop by for some chicken from Jollibee whenever we're in CA. We actually had just left a wedding and looking for more food... luckily we were able to order online for pick up, right before closing time! Love, love getting a bucket of their chickjoy chicken, all spicy, w/ mashed potatoes + gravy, and some pies! UBE & peach mango pies are TOO good. It's located in a pretty new & nice looking shopping area in Alameda. This was the best late night snack ;)) I'm not usually even a fan of fried chicken but Jollibee just does it differently, OKAY!

I saw in the email that they were serving Korean BBQ fried chicken and decided to give it a try. We also got six pieces of spicy fried chicken in case we didn't like the Korean BBQ flavor. The Korean BBQ flavor was alright; it was flavorful, but did not hit the spot for some reason. Their spicy friend chicken tasted great as always. The only downside was that we ordered two buckets of fried chicken, but they only gave us two napkins in the bag.

Cheesy Yumburger
Abi H.

Stopped by for a late night munch with my bf last week! We wanted to try their cheeseburgers, which I think they call 'Yumburger'. It's a decent size & less than $8 each! The buns are more yellow in color than a traditional burger bun, perhaps an egg bun. It's so soft & slightly sweet which goes great with the fresh veggies and juicy patty. This Jollibee location is always very clean and feels very spacious compared to other locations. The tables are spread out slightly further from each other than other locations I've been to. They also have a patio seating area so you can dine with your dogs! Of course we got a bucket of chicken to share as well. Spicy, which is the best way to order it! It was crunchy, not too oily, and just the right amount of spice. This location does not offer palabok or halo halo yet. They were also sold out of the Mac and cheese. I have yet to try the Mac and cheese since they have been sold out every time I've visited here. Maybe next time!

Food is good as long as you are expecting fast food. Comes out piping hot many times we've eaten in. Service is efficient. Bring your your own cleaning because the tables are often terrible, but usable. Evil vice of my wife so always a fun outing.

Jollibee got the best fried chicken and they're super nice over here. The sides are decent and you gotta get the chicken with the gravy.

Ask the Community - Jollibee

This location has been in operation for about a year now, and still no Palabok?

Nope! I go to the Hayward location just for the palabok.

And now, is it there yet? it's 7/30/2025

Yes, this location is up and running.

When will you serve Palabok in your Alameda location?

Hi Milly. I had ask the same question and the staff told me it's just a matter of time, but I am going to swing by today and ask the higher up If it's going to happen. I love…

When is this location slated to open?

I read Oct 2024, so very soon

As a parent, I never knew how much I would appreciate a drive-thru at spots like Walgreens, Starbucks, and now, an actual restaurant! It's the little things sometimes that really help to take the heavy lift off, while giving back the flexibility and energy to the driver :) While I can't speak for the interior of the restaurant, we did roll through the drive-thru to test it out over the weekend while exploring Alameda and all of its charm. On a Saturday evening it seemed like they were pretty swamped, and no one was responding at the drive-thru window so we figured maybe it was closed. We pulled up and my husband got out of the car to confirm before we pulled away with a worker inside the restaurant and they apologized. Almost immediately someone came to the window and gave us printed menus because we had already passed the digital menu part of the drive-thru. We ordered hush puppies, a fried shrimp po' boy sandwich, mac n' cheese, and bread pudding. Oh wee, we had a feast when we arrived home and reheated everything! I think they may still be working out some kinks, but I'm open to trying the drive-thru again next time we're in town post brewery fun. A drive-thru in the East Bay for Cajun bites? Very cool! I've explored their menu before and wow, that bread pudding! Special. Would go back for that alone to try it hot from the oven!

DoorDash came on time, but it was delayed, which is normal during lunch hours bag was sealed and everything and of course they forgot in order so I tried calling and calling and calling and no one picks up which is so frustrating.. The food here is mid and so expensive. On doordash can you even order 1 order of beignets that comes in 3, the minimum order is 12. We ordered the seafood gumbo, the Cajun crab fries, cajun fries the fountain drink, and a Muffaletta that never came My seafood gumbo came w 1 shrimp. Cajun fries not well seasoned.

The past few experiences here they forget something or something is missing from the burrito/ burger. In the past they have forgotten to give us the hash browns so we have to go back. Another time, they forget the sausage in the burrito, again had to go back. And this last time, I didn't get what breakfast sandwich, I asked for. Apparently, the online menu varies by location and not everything on the menu is available at all locations. That's fine, I understand but if someone orders something you don't carry then speak up! Don't assume or substitute the order to what you think I wanted. With that said, I did the survey on the receipt as well as reached out to Jack in the box online though the contract us link. I did hear back within 20 minutes or so. This person reached out to me by text message, not calling me. I prefer to discuss complaints over the phone, not by text message. I feel text messages doesn't get the point across correctly and takes more time to text back and forth. Long story short, he asked me to come back and they could fix the order. I'm not going back and forth again. 2nd asked me if I confirmed the order on the screen. I said, I was not able to since the employee had the total on the screen before I could review it. 3rd then blamed it on the names of the sandwich are similar. Then told me, he would forward my issue to the manager and corporate office, so you're not the manager! Apparently it was the supervisor. (Not sure, if it really was the supervisor). I feel he should have identified himself at the beginning of the text and informed me he the supervisor of the location. Besides not getting what I ordered. The food, we did receive was correct but not good. I also ordered a hash brown and it was dripping in oil and falling apart soft. My husband order a burger and they drenched it in mustard. If ZERO stars was an option, it would have got 0 stars. Just ridiculous and a waste of money. Not going back anymore!
