This is the worst Jollibee I've ever been to. They don't even sell all the same things that other Jollibees have. They don't have the burger steak that they used to sell with the mushrooms and gravy. I asked the lady for it and she said they no longer sell it in this location, but they used to sell it in the beginning. Make it makes sense. I come in today because I love their chicken sandwiches but come to find out they're out of fries, mac & cheese and biscuits. Whoever is running this place is completely disorganized. My sisters and I visited Jollibee on Friday evening after a tough workout class, and it was the perfect treat after sweating it out! I had been looking forward to their fried chicken all week and finally ordered the 2-piece spicy chicken with a biscuit, adobo rice, and their signature pineapple drink. Everything was delicious--the spicy chicken was crispy and flavorful, the biscuit was perfectly buttery, and the adobo rice was a nice savory side. Was so excited to have a Jollibee open in town but was so bummed to find out they don't have palabok on the menu! That is the one thing I want to get with my chicken bucket! Even my husband, who isn't Pinoy was surprised and disappointed that he asked the manager why. They said they wanted to "simplify" the menu and added Mac n cheese instead. I'm really happy and excited that Jollibee finally came to Alameda that I even take my clients there at their grand opening to show support, and go there often since they are close by. I was pleased with the food quality for months since they opened. Lately, I found their food are not hot, and yesterday, worse, it appeared that they refried the chicken because it was dried and not hot thoroughly. Hence, making me feel disappointed and upset that I wasted my money on the food. I gave it 3 stars because of previous experiences and services that I received. Sad part is owner responds to all the reviews and keeps apologizing yet nothing has been done to address long wait times. How many times can one keep apologizing? Jolibee is one of my favorite fast foods but this location is meh. Fries are kinda of stale - you can tell it has been sitting there for a long time with just a little warmth. I got a sandwich this time and they put way too much sauce in the sandwich. The sandwich itself is good though - chicken is crunchy and warm. Everything is self serve, water, utensil, etc. Lines are really long and it takes a long time to get through. Need to hire more people, but food was fast though. The food is pretty good so I want to give them 4 stars, but can't because the service is pretty bad. I don't know whether they don't understand the concept of first come first serve, or whether they just don't care, but the last time we went, we had to wait half an hour for our to-go order while they served everyone else in the restaurant, including about 8-10 parties who ordered after us (including orders larger than ours). It wasn't even that busy but they skipped us and served us last for some reason. So don't go here if you have plans or are in a rush. read more

I love that this place seems to have given 5th street some life. There's always so many people when I go. My one criticism as someone who grew up with Jollibee in the ph is the limited menu. Would have been 5 stars if it was a more complete Jollibee experience with Jollibee Breakfast (garlic rice and egg served w corned beef, tapa, longganisa), Jollibee Desserts like the halo halo, pearl cooler, and sundaes, and of course the Jollihotdog. It's a very stripped down version Jollibee. If they have no plans to expand their menu that's very unfortunate. If they intend to do that in the future that would probably break the bay area. I noticed they focused on their fried chicken which is not what makes Jollibee unique. Popeyes, chick-fil-a, mcdonald's already do those things and do them well. I don't think Jollibee US should try to compete with them. As proust once said, "Beethoven's quartets created the audience for beethoven's quartets" Jollibee US should remain unique and create the demand for its original menu, instead of competing with already existing demand for fried chicken things...
