This is the Carl's Jr in Alameda @ Marina Village. I eat here when my vehicle is being worked on next door at the Goodyear shop. The other day I went to try the Western Bacon Crispy Chicken Burger that fellow Yelpers were telling me about. It wasn't on the menu in the dining room. The young lady taking my order said they still serve it. It was only $5.99. I ordered the Combo Meal with Onion Rings (instead of fries). The burger was fairly large and very filling. All the food was fresh. BTW, if you eat in the dining room, the staff will still bring your food to your table. So if you're disabled or have trouble carrying a tray, the staff will bring your order to you. Only the soda is self service. Clean restrooms and free parking. read more

I have never been to this location. I do not live nearby and yet my card has been used to make multiple orders, in the app. When I call to cancel these fraudulent orders, some totally $75 dollars, I can never get anyone on the phone. This is ridiculous. Identify theft, fraudulent purchases that keep happening. Customer service is non-existent, corporate has been alerted to no avail. I used to call me more frequently when I was younger, but when Carl's Jr. changed their menu and inflated prices, I stopped coming. However, the wife was craving their burgers into my surprise. Everything menu wise was vastly different. I feel like it's close to returning to it once great prominence even though they haven't returned some of my favorite menu options. I bought a bacon, cheese & egg burrito for breakfast this morning from this Carl's Jr in Marina Square. Total price was $6.54, I just knew I was about to get this fat burrito. I opened the bag and the burrito was as small as a Taco Bell $2.99 burrito, which BTW would have tasted better than this over priced product! It seems everyone is trying to rip us off now. The Filipino lady that worked at the window on the night shift is unprofessional, disrespectful, and unsanitary. She wanted to handle food with dirty hands and she had to be told to wash her hands. I can't believe she got offended when asked can she wash her hands before handling the food after handling dirty wires under the table! The Health Department should keep an eye on this location. I've been coming to this Carl's Jr for a long long time. They always have excellent service and the lady that always seems to be working the drive when I come in a alway soooo friendly. She is such a ray of sunshine and the sweetest thing ever! I need to find out her name next time so she gets the props she deserves. I tried the green burrito stuff tonight for the first time. It was excellent! It put Taco Bell to shame! As with the rest of Carl's Jr the food is pricey for fast food, but it is quality! I got the steak green burrito and it was big! So needless to say I ordered way to much food. Also got a crunchy taco which was excellent. And the bean and cheese burrito which was really good and surprisingly big. I was craving some fast food Mexican tonight and the Taco Bell nearby was under construction and I remembered this Carls Jr had a Green Burrito attached. I never tired it and thought this would be a good opportunity. Their menu wasn't cheap which to me signaled quality, otherwise how would they still be in business? I went with their namesake item, a steak green burrito, which came to a whopping $14.53 with tax. Must be some great green chili sauce, I thought... When I started eating it I noticed it had practically no green chili sauce and was bland, processed, etc. I circled back around through the drive thru to politely ask for more green chili sauce to help choke this thing down and the lady said "oh you mean the green salsa?" let out a frustrated sigh and begrudgingly gave me a half filled tiny container for my big, bland burrito And what was it? It was hot, it had chunks of hatch chilis... it was totally green chili and not green salsa. There is a difference and I don't expect everyone to know but I would hope the worker here would know what the main ingredient to the whole ass restaurant is. As a matter of fact, I think it's close to the best fast food restaurant on Planet Earth!!! The burgers are always prepared to perfection, as good as any "no name family burger joint." The variety of food, in a fast food restaurant, is mind-boggling. Six + different variety of 1/2 pound burgers, are you kidding me?!!!! The french fries, around 4-6 different varieties of potatoes prep? 4 different desserts? Milkshakes with whip cream and 4 different flavors. A full Mexican Food menu, with Taquitos, Burriots, Tacos..... A SALSA BAR, with consistently stocked condiments? Are you kidding me? Fresh Pico de Gallo? Hot and spicy pepers? Lemons? Are you kidding me? This is a fast food restaurant!!!! There may be around 12 different beverages at a self-serve fountain, fairly common in places like 7-11 and those types of shops. But in a fast food restaurant, normally about 6 - 8 soft drinks. I don't think I've ever seen this high quality of a Carl's Jr Restaurant, at any other location!!!! Trust me, I've tried. I hardly ever rate a business, but this employee was the worst! Poor attitude. I actually pulled over to comment... 10:02p, I just ordered via the drive-thru. Store open til 1am. Worker was rude, non-chalet, and lazy. Grilled products and a few other options were "not available." When questioned, she gave lame answers that just didn't add up. Green Burrito is like a slightly more expensive version of Taco Bell. Less selection, but higher quality. There is a little serve-yourself salsa bar. PRO-TIP: Fill out the survey on the back of your receipt and you get a free small fries with your next order. PRO-TIP: Because this place has a serve-yourself salsa bar, you can add those toppings to your Carl's Jr. orders. I love putting extra onions on my burger, and salsa on the cross-cut fries. They sell sweet potato fries and fried zucchini. Their dessert selection is also better than that crusty apple pie from you-know-where. I usually get a famous star burger without cheese, but today I wanted to try something else - the Atlantic cod sandwich. It was pretty good - better than Mickey D's filet of fish (just a square filet of fish with melted cheese and tartar sauce between a bun). Berkeley campus and back, and on the way to Berkeley, I always stop at the Carl's Jr. in Alameda and order a Santa Fe Chicken sandwich, with two extra chili peppers. My second ritual is to take the ten mile hike around Lake Chabot and afterwards stop at Carl's Jr. in Alameda and order a Santa Fe Chicken, with two extra chili peppers. This year (2020), walking around Lake Chabot and then stopping at Carl's Jr. has been and continues to be a weekly ritual. DEVOTION TO CARL's Jr. ALL OVER CALIFORNIA. The best deal in town is the $5 combo found at this Carl's Jr. I am not sure if other locations offer it or not. There are several options but I always end up getting the three piece chicken tenders with a side of french fries, a chocolate chip cookie and soda. I really don't know how you can beat that. Not usually a big fan of chicken, I find these tenders to be moist and pretty savory. Not on their menu but available if you ask is the chicken stars. I am near obsessed with them. They are the cutest shape and the extra edges really make for more crispy surface area which is key. No matter how much I love these stars, though, the thrifty side of me takes over at lunchtime and makes me order that damn $5 meal because it's just so worth it. I didn't start eating at Carl's Jr. until they started selling the beyond meat burger. Now I have to keep myself from going there every week. This particular location is great. I have never had an issue with my order and they have the nicest employees. The general manager, Elaine, is the friendliest person who can run the front along with the drive thru if need be. I'm always impressed by her courteousness and how efficient she is. She said she's been doing this kind of work for 20 years and it shows! I'm pleased with my food and interactions every time I come here. If you are wanting a hamburger and you on the west side of Alameda then try Carl's Jr. at the marina village. This morning I took a trip to Carl's Jr. and I purchase a couple of cookies. Clearly, one of their cookies was dated with the freshness stamp of 11/5/15. With my concern, I called the the restaurant and a lady named Abby answered. I proceeded to tell her what was going on; she then placed me on a brief hold and spoke to the guy that sold me the cookies, she then covered the mouth piece of the receiver so I would not hear what she was saying. However, I heard everything she was telling the guy and that I was not telling the truth and that all their cookies are made fresh all the time.
