New owners have been operating this shop for the past year or two. You can tell the difference. Better customer interaction. Nails look great. One of the owners does my nails and she's told me with returning customers she learns their preferences and matches them with a nail technician who best fits. Like most nail salons they still tend to speak to each other in their native tongue which can make a customer wonder what/who they're talking about. I have been going to Joline's for 3 1/2 years now. Prices are reasonable under the new owners. The new owners have done some remodeling and updated the equipment and have added an area to do waxing. Billy does a great job on nails and all the ladies give you a nice pedicure. Billy is also great at keeping his appointment times and doesn't let a walk-in interfere with your appointment. But there has been occasions that he isn't there and does not call you to let you know. This is not a way to run a business. My main complaint is that only one person does fills for silk & acrylic. If Billy isn't there you can't get what you need done. It is fine if you want a pedicure or a gel nail polish, but make sure you make an appointment for fills. read more

Joline Nails has been under new ownership since late 2012. Just to clarify for everyone that was against the place due to the scandal of the previous owner. The new owners are great and so is the staff. They do amazing work on my nails and they're always willing to do any off-the-wall requests that I have. The pedicures are amazing, as well. It's a mixed review but more bad than good. I've had some good experiences here with the 2 males that do nails and a few decent pedis. The older women who does nails with short hair is terrible. I just left there and have a cruise on Monday!!! I hate my nails. l had a horrible experience. She used the filing machines roughly on my cuticles and cut me and made me bleed everywhere. She didn't even say sorry or clean it. She told me I was too stiff and kept pulling my arm and fingers to her liking. I wanted to walk out. I was so upset. I showed her a pic of what I wanted and she painted one and it wasn't close to the color and she had the nerve to say " you picked it" so she handed me the color choices again and painted my nails fast. It looks like white paint all chunky and thick. She also didn't file them nicely. They feel bully. I'm highly disappointed and won't go back unless I ask for the owner. read more

I've been to this salon twice now. First time I went I got a manicure and pedicure. The lady told me because my nails were so short the polish would chip off (never heard this before). She was also so rough on my pedicure (digging at my toes) that I left miserable and in pain. I then ended up with 2 infections and had to get an antibiotic. I went back to get a manicure and not only were the ladies rude, the manicure was a joke. I have never seen a place thin out nail polish so much (they are trying to cut corners and save a dollar). It's been 1 day and my polish is already cracking. Save your money and go else where. read more

I do not usually give reviews, but I felt compelled to write this one for others to be aware what might happen to them. Not saying this is the rule, but it was a fact for me. Went in few weeks back for a gel mani-pedi. Liked the pedi, although I am used to get few more minutes of massage with the more expensive pedis. My issue was with the gel mani - the gel did not last more than 5 days on 2 of the nails. In over 10 years of getting gel manis, I never had this happening. I did not do anything during these few days, no washing dishes even, but the day after going to the salon I noticed the side of one nail was bubbly. So I will not go back, for sure. read more

I have come here since Billy opened. When he reopened it was a little shabby but service was great. I have since come here in the past four years off and on and have experienced nothing but rude behavior and hurried pedicures. End result is leaving angry and disappointed, not to mention confused by 3 people changing out to provide a single pedicure. I have referred at least 15 people here and all have left because of poor service. Won't be returning. read more

Honestly, I have been going here for years and just fed up. They use to be good and nice. Now it's a rush job and very sloppy. They are rude to black people, even when they are tipped generously. What really annoyed me was the girl who did my toes rolling her eyes at me the entire time. Never again, you will never get my money again. First off, the ladies that work there are always rude an RUFF, I have at least 3 cuts on my fingers an my nail polish looks LUMPY and see-through In some spots. I used to go to this salon till couple months ago. The place used to be fine until the recent year or so...they use old nail polish, cheap gel nail. The gel normally staying good for 2 wks to 3 wks but at this nail place, after a week , gel nail starting to peel off...mentioned to them , I was told by a technician that the owner using cheap gel but asking not to mention her name !!! Owner got very sensitive when couple of us customers mentioned about the gel getting peel off too easy. To me, when I go get my nails and pedicure , I like to be in a relax environmental place. I got the Deluxe pedicure. It was $35 but totally worth it. I had callus removal, sea salt scrub, paraffin wax, hot stone massage, mask and hot towel treatment. The massage chair was awesome. My technician was very nice and thorough. The place is very clean and they use liners in the water bath and they have covers on the arms of the chairs, which I like. They have free wifi as well. I love coming here, the new location is a few doors down. Everything is brand new the chairs, the tables, it's beautiful! Also it's extremely clean! They use special bags in the foot baths, and sanitize the equipment. This is a huge plus in my opinion. They are under new ownership. The technicians are very friendly. They also do a paraffin wax with a pedicure and that treatment makes your feet so very soft! I highly recommend getting your nails done at this shop! read more

They are very reasonably priced, aren't pushy like other places I've been to, and did beautiful work! I was at this nail place not to long ago and I ask for a manicure. First off they used a old nail polish on me which cause my nail polish to peel after the first day. Also they didn't even wrap my hands in a hot towel nor massage my hands with lotion. This had to be the worst manicure I had done. They also tried to pressured me for gel nails after I told them no just a regular manicure. I will not return here. read more

I've gone here for about a year and a half and the service was never spectacular but I kept going because it's clean, usually can get right in a chair and their were pretty good techs that no longer work there. This past time I went in for a pedicure and everything was ok until the tech began the polish. I brought my own polish in, a brand new bottle because I can't find the shade of yellow I like ever. The first coat looked a bit sloppy but I didn't jump the gun and say anything. The second coat was just as sloppy and the tech was beginning to add a top coat but I stopped her to point out that part of my toes were missing a decent amount of polish (multiple toes) and on my big toes, the polish was very streaky and not smooth at all. I asked her if she could please get the spots that were missing polish and also add another coat to the big toes. She sat for about 5 minutes trying to smooth them out, by this point I was thoroughly confused as to what was going on because she seemed almost as if she didn't know what she was doing. Once she finished she asked if it looked ok, it was fine because I was ready to go. Finally, she called the owner over, they spoke a few words in their language and then she got up snatched her keys and phone off her desk and stormed out. The owner, Billy, grabbed a stool and slid it to my chair, yanked some paper towels, poured acetone on them and began angrily scrubbing (yes SCRUBBING) the polish off my toes, after that he slammed the soiled towels into the pedicure bowl and rushed through painting my toes. I glanced over at my mother in law a few times just to ensure that I wasn't the only one seeing how he was behaving and treating me. I was extremely confused as to what went on between his tech and why he was taking his frustrations out on me. He didn't apologize for the tech or any inconvenience or anything until about 20 minutes later after my mother in law was done we both went to pay and he goes " ohh sorry about that she forgot her glasses at home and she couldn't see what she was doing". Seriously?? In a job that requires attention to detail, I'm not sure it's a smart idea to try to wing it without your glasses especially if you have trouble with seeing something two feet away, and additionally how Billy acted after the fact toward her and toward me was unacceptable. He didn't even need to go into detail about his tech but just could have said, I'm gonna be finishing up, sorry about that etc, instead of yanking my feet around and scrubbing my polish off as if I done something wrong. Needless to say, I am looking for a new salon. read more

This is my absolute favorite nail place. I'm EXTREMELY picky when it comes to getting my nails done. I've not once had a problem coming here. My nails are always even and the owner and his wife are amazing. They always give great customer service and they always are very precise when doing your nails. I 100% recommend. I was just treated to a Pedicure. Not just a pedicure .... A deluxe pedicure. OMG! The works! The massage chair was worth the price of admission! Annie was the lovely girl who served me. With expert hands she was slow and meticulous and perfect. With this deluxe pedicure you get the full Monty... Callus removal, salt scrub, massage, mud, and hot rocks. They will not rush you through your experience as you live back in that beautiful chair being massaged from bottom to top. I highly recommend this reasonably priced experience!!!! DO NOT GO HERE! My granddaughter and I came in yesterday to get a fill at Joline Nails and my granddaughters nails came out lumpy. I had the lady fix the lumpiness and they were still lumpy! I called to see if Billy or Mya would fix them and they said I would have to repay for a full set because they were originally from another nail salon. Horrible experience. I went in there and was told that a fill was only 12, sat down to get my nails done and he doesn't clean under my nails and leave the sides digging into my finger, also asks if I want my nail cut down and doesn't feel the need to tell me it's am extra fee. I'm sure that this place is awesome, but I came in (as a walk in) and waited an hour and a half while they let other people who came after me (also walk-ins) get served before me, finally I left because after asking twice if I could be served I was told to wait until the next available manicurist who then would serve someone else and tell me to wait. I went in for a bikini wax. The owner speaks poor English. He simply told me "all full" and walked away. I then asked if I could schedule an appointment. On my appointment day I went in. Three employees were sitting around. My person was not busy but not ready for me. I still had to wait at 11 AM when no one was there. Evidently the owner wrote down the wrong time. I decided to add on an underarm wax. This was my first time. Very painful. She rubbed her loose /cheap latex gloves over my freshly waxed underarm. She was plucking so hard I thought I might be bleeding at point point and had to continue to look. When I told her it was hurting she told me "you a baby". I decided not to get a bikini wax due to the pain, no hard wax available, and lack of privacy (only a curtain). Also, when I walked in one of the male staff was continually picking his nose even while he was talking to me. Gross! I am going over to Victoria Nails in Mentone...much better customer service, services, and able to converse in English with ease. read more
