As a middle-aged guy who is pretty accident-prone, I have had a lot of experience getting physical therapy from a variety of providers. Joints in Motion is, far and away, the best physical therapy provider that I have ever used. I have been working with Eric at Joints in Motion for the last 3 months as I recover from rotator cuff surgery and cannot say enough positive about the experience. Rotator cuff surgery recovery is not fun, but Joints in Motion has made things immeasurably better. There are several things that set Joints in Motion apart from other therapy places where I have gone. First, it is clear during each of my sessions that there is a plan in place for my therapy. Unlike other places I have gone, I have never found myself standing around waiting for a therapist to figure out what I should be doing or waiting between exercises because a therapist is tending to another patient. It is clear that they respect my time and prioritize maximizing my progress without unnecessarily wasting my time. Second, Eric is great about explaining what I'm doing, how it helps, what my progress looks like, and giving advice on things that I can do at home. I have a bad tendency to be a control freak which invariably causes me to ask lots of questions. Eric has always patiently answered them fully in a way that is understandable to a layperson. Third, the facility itself is well-equipped and a really good size. I did not appreciate how important that space issue was until I went to Joints in Motion. At other therapy places where I have been, it was often hard to work around other patients who were operating close by. At Joints in Motion, there is plenty of space to spread out so that patients don't impede one another during a therapy session. I live less than 5 minutes from another physical therapy provider, but it is a no-brainer that, despite it being a 25-minute drive from my house to Joints in Motion, that the extra drive well be well-worth it the next time I manage to injure myself. read more

As a 69 year old right hip replacement patient, to say that I was apprehensive about by rehab would have been an understatement. As Eric took me through the first 2 or 3 sessions, he was very aware of my apprehension. Around workout 4 or 5 he told me he wanted me to be happy with my hip replacement in 5 years. He basically said that satisfaction would be equivalent to what I put in to my rehab. From that point, we were on. Sometime around workout 27 / 28 both Eric and Jennifer asked me where I wanted to get with my workouts. I said, at some point, I want to be able to lightly jog and full out snow ski again. The workouts were not drastically different, but there were moderate changes that have enhanced my confidence to run and ski again. After 40 sessions, I am thoroughly confident in my ability to make a full recovery. I would totally recommend Joints in Motion to anyone who wants to return to your "normal". Fast, effective, family therapy. You will not be dissatisfied. The long version: I had corrective therapy done about 10 years ago for scoliosis. Though it was naturally painful, the patient centered care and family atmosphere made it fun. More importantly, my scoliosis was cured and all my associated back pain had been relieved. *More recently, I did my clinical internship at this clinic. By working for Eric, I got to see the day by day, minute by minute practice. Just like I thought, it was flawless. From behind closed doors to bedside manner, Eric and his team was phenomenal. He was the type of guy that would put priority in his patients over his lunch. I was given responsibilities and instruction that helped me take my many years of school and really build a solid foundation. By the end of my intern, I really looked up to Eric. I cannot say enough positive things about Eric and his team at Joints In Motion. I had full knee replacement in November 2018 and started PT with them about 3-4 weeks later. I mostly worked with Eric and Anna but everyone there is super knowledgeable and helpful. I just barely have a limp thanks to them and their therapy methods. It should be totally gone soon. The facility was very nice and the staff were professional and courteous. The only reason for my low rating is we are in a pandemic and the first time I went for treatment, no one wore a mask. This time, none of the patients or employees wore masks except for my therapist. The CDC recommends the wearing of masks! APTA encourages physical therapists to use their "professional judgment" to determine when, where, and how to provide care, with the understanding this is not the optimal environment for care, for anyone involved. Good judgement should include the wearing of masks to help stop the spread of COVID 19. With the increase of hospitalizations in Dallas, I would hope ANY North Texas medical facility would use recommended precautions. read more

I have been through many Physical Therapy sessions at different locations. This is by far the best I've ever experienced. The staff is absolutely great. The office workers are amazing. No one goes to therapy for the office workers but knowing they're doing a great job sorting insurance and scheduling makes the experience stress free. The Drs and technicians are truly great! My therapist is Brittney. This doctor is the best!! She cares about my well-being and goes the extra mile to ensure my therapy is individualized to optimize my recovery. I have not been to physical therapy in several years. When my neurologist gave me a script for PT for neck and shoulder pain, I looked for clinic that was convenient. I found that Joints In Motion was about a block away from my house. They are tucked away in the corner of a small office complex. I never knew they were there. Britney has been working with me for the past few weeks. I am happy with my progress. More than that, I am extremely impressed by the expertise of the staff, how well this clinic functions and how friendly it is. It reminds me of a family-run business and everyone is extremely helpful and supportive. I have been undergoing physical therapy here for the past 3 weeks following a double knee replacement. I highly recommend Joints In Motion! The first thing I noticed was how friendly Eric and his staff were. I just completed a two month therapy program and am very pleased with the results. My particular therapist, Brit, provided excellent treatments. She is highly trained. Her positive and friendly attitude helped me relax. She gave me many suggestions to enhance my progress at home. These included massage tools and a list of exercises. I use these daily and have started to see added improvements. I was also very pleased with the flexibility of making appointments. I never had a problem. The office staff was also very friendly and helpful in making appointment/changes. We will continue using J-I-M when the need arises. read more
