This is false. They assured me that my insurance did cover Therapy went ahead and charged my cc in full every time without first submitting it to my insurance. I also spoke to the billing department, all of which they had promised me that they would be returning the cost of the therapy sessions given the lack of transparency and the fact that all therapy was was playing around with my two-year-old son for a 30 minutes charging me $95 for these sessions. When I called back they recused themselves of ever saying that they would actually refund me the therapy sessions, and stated that it was my full responsibility to pay it because my insurance had now declined that therapy sessions. Those very same sessions that they had previously assured me that my insurance did cover. In addition they will charge you a $275 initial fee. I was told they didnt know what pricing would be u til they put it through insurance, thats false bc the. The billing dept told me the $275 is a minimum out-of-pocket expense because they charge your insurance almost $1000 for that first initial session. Told me this of course all after the fact. My son got nothing out of these sessions and I just dropped over $500 for literally nothing. This place is a joke and a lie and crooks!! Though it was naturally painful, the patient centered care and family atmosphere made it fun. More importantly, my scoliosis was cured and all my associated back pain had been relieved. *More recently, I did my clinical internship at this clinic. By working for Eric, I got to see the day by day, minute by minute practice. Just like I thought, it was flawless. From behind closed doors to bedside manner, Eric and his team was phenomenal. He was the type of guy that would put priority in his patients over his lunch. I was given responsibilities and instruction that helped me take my many years of school and really build a solid foundation. By the end of my intern, I really looked up to Eric. Joints in Motion is, far and away, the best physical therapy provider that I have ever used. I have been working with Eric at Joints in Motion for the last 3 months as I recover from rotator cuff surgery and cannot say enough positive about the experience. Rotator cuff surgery recovery is not fun, but Joints in Motion has made things immeasurably better. There are several things that set Joints in Motion apart from other therapy places where I have gone. First, it is clear during each of my sessions that there is a plan in place for my therapy. Unlike other places I have gone, I have never found myself standing around waiting for a therapist to figure out what I should be doing or waiting between exercises because a therapist is tending to another patient. It is clear that they respect my time and prioritize maximizing my progress without unnecessarily wasting my time. Second, Eric is great about explaining what I'm doing, how it helps, what my progress looks like, and giving advice on things that I can do at home. I have a bad tendency to be a control freak which invariably causes me to ask lots of questions. Eric has always patiently answered them fully in a way that is understandable to a layperson. Third, the facility itself is well-equipped and a really good size. I did not appreciate how important that space issue was until I went to Joints in Motion. At other therapy places where I have been, it was often hard to work around other patients who were operating close by. At Joints in Motion, there is plenty of space to spread out so that patients don't impede one another during a therapy session. I live less than 5 minutes from another physical therapy provider, but it is a no-brainer that, despite it being a 25-minute drive from my house to Joints in Motion, that the extra drive well be well-worth it the next time I manage to injure myself.
