Don't do it! This place is money hungry. I left a $50 deposit, I ultimately cancelled the appointment within the cancellation policy timeframe of 48 hours due to my child receiving services elsewhere. The office manager just informed me that I cannot get my $50 deposit back and she lied about the date I cancelled the appointment. If your office needed my $50 that badly you should've just said that. Horrible experience. Wish zero stars were an option. read more

I love this please from the front desk personnel to my son's therapist Karen. He was really struggling with his speech and she helped him tremendously. He's able to voice how he feels, he's able to say his name, he talks so much now and I will forever be grateful for her incredible blessing of a gift. She defiantly serving her calling of being a speech therapist she is so vibrant, loving, and kind. My son literally begs to go see her he just loves her so much. We've been "customers" of Monkey Mouths in coppell for roughly a year. While we've had amazing therapists during our time with Monkey Mouths we are to the point that the lack of caring, understanding and empathy from the business staff is something we can no longer overlook. The Monkey Mouths website states: "Monkey Mouths is dedicated to your child's progress, and we are here to help navigate the path to care from start to finish." This is not the case as far as the office staff is concerned. The office does not keep up with payments and insurance. We paid over $1200 at the beginning of the year out of pocket over our first deductible. When asked for an itemized list with my payments and visits they were unable to provide it. We had to request multiple times for Monkey Mouths to stop charging us for visits. We had to ask to remove our credit card at least 3 times because they kept auto charging an old card after we hit our full deductible. At the beginning of the year we spoke about visits and were assured our child had enough visits for speech and OT for the entire year based on our insurance plan and scheduling. Well here we are in October and out of visits. Monkey mouths didn't tell us when we came in Monday or Tuesday. Wednesday we received phone calls, two rings then a hang up with no voice mail then an email saying since they called and couldn't reach us they wanted to tell us our benefits were up and we owed $160 for two visits and had two more pending that insurance would deny. When I replied to the email asking why we have the private pay rate and about our insurance I was told that $80 is the private pay per visit and I would pay less than that due to having insurance. My husband visited the coppell office to try and get to the bottom of things. All they knew was someone from the hurst office had emailed us and that they showed we owed $41 and had two appointments pending. We went ahead and cancelled all appointments going forward and paid our balance to try and get to the bottom of things. This morning I called to see what our insurance price would be and to keep my son in speech. His appointment times had already been given away and we were told the insurance price is the private pay price. I was told my first grader could come in the middle of the day for services as there we no more after school appointments available with any of his therapists - wow in less than 2 hours they gave away 4 appointment slots! When I asked why we paid $41 but are now being told we will have to pay $80 a visit I was informed they had charged my old card again back in August and we had a positive balance on our account and a charge on a card we no longer use. The accounting/billing is terrible for these people. Besides the above mentioned issues we had therapists billing our insurance differently so each speech and OT session were different costs (4 sessions a week all different charges. When we tried to take it up with the office we were told to take it up with the therapist as they are responsible for entering billing codes. Monkey Mouths as a business does NOT put your child's needs first. While the therapist are all outstanding and will do the best for your child they are working for a terrible organization. The lack of communication and billing issues from Monkey Mouths as a company is no longer tolerable for our family. Our child is devastated about leaving his therapists, but we can no longer ignore the lack of compassion, empathy and organization by the office staff. read more

We have had a really bad experience and I hope it is only us who had this experience here. First of all, they provided us with wrong cost of services and started charging any amount to my card without my permission. Second, there sessions are only 30 mins and they would not give me 60 mins sessions even when insurance agreed to it. Third, their therapist is still not vaccinated and so we have to do sessions with masks which makes it really hard for kids. Monkey Mouths Coppell is where my daughter receives her therapy for OT and feeding the therapists here are amazing absolutely amazing they have a plan in mind For each of her needs with goals set and Met! I am so proud of my daughter And how far she has come due to the amazing therapists that she has! Monkey Mouths has been apart of our family for almost 9 years! Because of their hard work, dedication, and drive to stay educated on developing education concepts they have made a world of difference for my son! I am truly disheartened, my grandson was attending therapy sessions at Monkey Mouths/Coppell, and was recently dismissed from the practice for missing several appointments. I thought Texas was supposed to be the state of compassion. My son-in-law recently received a call being informed of their decision to dismiss. After trying to explain the circumstances for the missed visits, they went on deaf ears. Recently my mother passed in July from Corona Virus, then my brother in September, in November our family was hit with another death in the family when my nephew died from renal failure. Just when we thought things were at it's worst on the day of my grandson's latest appointment we received a call saying he (my grandson) was exposed to Corona Virus from his mother and had to be immediately tested, so naturally we were no longer in the 24 hour window to cancel an appointment. I am thankful for Stepping Stone Speech Therapy for setting up a emergency appoint so that my grandson's therapy will not be delayed. read more
