I have see. 3 different orthopedic doctors, and all have been professional and thorough. I miss Dr. Heerwagon ( retired). He had a way about him that made you think he really wanted to help you, not just get another 'foot in the room'. All doctors need to remember that. Office and medical staff are always cordial and helpful. Appreciate that, as people are usually hurting or worried or recovering when they enter those doors. First new patient appointment with Dr. Lai, I felt rushed and unheard, not able to get a word in to explain all of my issues and left feeling pointless. He prescribed a six day oral steroid, anti inflammatory and recommended an MRI, ok great. Results of the MRI were not good, many things going on and all of them relate to pain but he only addressed the 7mm disc bulge and had zero concern for the multiple Annular tears, the other 2mm bulge, the degenerative disc disease or severe left side degenerative facet so apparently my pain and quality of life doesn't matter. They wanted me to schedule an appointment with the surgeon but try 1 steriod shot first. I had terrible side effects with the oral steroids I definitely don't want a direct shot of that into my spine. He used the term don't go to "Dr. Google" and he seemed offended that I already looked at the scans myself at home, did research, and contacted my aunty and grandmother who's a PA and retired radiologist for other opinions. They both agreed there are multiple issues not just one. Needless to say the second appointment didn't go well and I was in tears frustrated by the time I got to my car. I will be seeking a different medical professional elsewhere. To top it off I got the notes from my visit and all it states is "obese" and "lumbar pain". I did think it was weird after I got into the waiting room, nurse quickly popped his head in and asked my current height and weight. Well, apparently that means more then daily pain, nerve pain shooting down both legs and not being able to do normal daily tasks. I'm 5'6" about 215 lbs but they don't know that I have 115 lbs of muscle. I was judged on appearance, nothing else. read more

I had been having pain in my elbows and booked an appointment here after I hadn't been able to make it better on my own. It was easy to book an appointment, I didn't have to wait very long. One thing I liked was that I didn't have to fill out the list of medications I take, they were able to get it from my primary care dr that uses the same medical portal. I first saw an assistant and they decided they needed x-rays. I didn't have to wait more than 15 mins to get x-ray taken. It's convenient it's in the same building and the same floor. After 20 mins or so, I saw Dr Dickson and he went over the results from the x-ray. He checked my elbow and came up with a diagnosis and available treatment options and stretching exercises that will help. The treatment option I agreed with him on has worked well so far. A big relief after having pain for almost three months. read more

Dr. Geisler was so good at lowering my level of anxiety. I can recommend him without hesitation. He is very talented and good at explaining the entire process. I was having horrible sciatic pain. I hated to walk and I hated to get in and out of my car. The pain was too bad. I had already been to a pain mgt specialist for 2 steroid shots in my back. I really tried to avoid surgery but that was my only option when the shots did not help. After Dr. Geisler explained the very short recovery time and the minimally invasive surgery on my back, I was eager to get the job done. My surgery was day surgery. From the time i went in and was discharged, I was at the hospital only about 8 hours. My incision was only about 4 inches and I had very little pain afterwards. The greatest concern was preventing any infection. It's been over a month since my surgery and I feel great. The only complaint I have is that his assistant Bryan was cold, humorless and abrupt. I heard that he was leaving. He did not make me feel comfortable. read more

If you plan on seeing an actual Dr, good luck! I had 2 separate appointments for 2 separate major ailments over a 1 year period (not including shoulder issues..one with the hand specialist and one with the spine specialist). I waited an additional 2 weeks just to make sure I was seen by them, not their PA. Sure enough, both pawned me off on their PA's. One of whom gave me the advice of letting my herniated discs between my c5-6 and c6-7 heal on their own. Neither have, so now 6 months later I'm looking at permanent nerve damage. This place is a joke. One positive note, I did actually see Dr Singhal for shoulder issues. He seems to be a good Dr and a good man for actually seeing me twice. However, the hand specialist and spine specialist (both of whom were sitting in their offices during my appts) should be ashamed they even practice medicine. read more

They have doctors specialized to the body parts/joint/bone etc. so when you go in, you basically see an expert in their specific area, not just a general ortho doctor. They do not upsell. I went in for a soft tissue injury in my foot. The doctor I saw was not hands on at all. They took X-rays. He watched me walk. Never touched the foot. He suggestion was RICE and rest it for a month. Wasn't possible with my job. Not other suggestions. I had better suggestions in a runners forum of dealing with the pain and how to make it work with my life. If your bone is sticking out the skin, probably a great place to go. A boring soft tissue injury, dr google was far superior and cheaper. read more

I've been dealing with debilitating foot pain for a long time now. I'm a flight attendant so that involves a lot of walking. I saw that Dr. Willenborg had great reviews! So I was shocked when his bedside manner was bad. I brought my mom along for another pair of ears and he was so rude to her when she would ask him questions. I couldn't believe it! It was almost like he was offended that we would even question him. I have never ever had a Dr. be so rude. I saw Dr. Willenborg only twice when he basically told me to find a new career.... Who even says that? He didn't even offer me other options! He just basically gave up on me. I also spent so much money on customs orthotics he got for me and they made my foot pain worse. He's the 3rd specialist I've seen because the last two just wanted to do surgery on me, but gave me different diagnosis....I'm 30 and I really don't want to get surgery unless I absolutely have to. read more

At 71 years old, a retired RN with decades of experience and a cancer survivor, my experience with doctors is plentiful. Medicine has largely evolved into a business for profit. Dr. Geisler (spelling?) has the distinction of being the most arrogant, judgmental, rude doctor I have ever had the disappointment of choosing. His greeting as he entered the room: "well why did you need to see me? You're either thinking you have something dangerous or you are looking for medicine" My reason for being there (he had the first available appointment, I didn't choose him) was for pain in my back which was torturous. I have osteoporosis and had foolishly over used gym equipment. I felt sure that it resulted in a vertebral compression fracture, which is often missed on X-ray. So after telling me that "most older people have back pain" he did an X-ray. He reported that it showed no abnormality while admitting that he "could've missed a small fracture" Then he dismissed me with instructions to "call him in a month if there was no improvement" Please read reviews! There were many reviews which would have warned me of his attitude had I read them. I never would have chosen him. Avoid doctors who speak to you this way. The finest physicians I have known treat their patients with empathy and kindness. No matter how much knowledge you possess, it doesn't give you the right to treat your patient poorly. First of all patients are fellow human beings and usually in pain. Show compassion!! read more

They were very nice, reviewed the MRI report and took some additional X - Rays to confirm they do not agree with the original treatment plan I had been given. 1 star for the reception service they provide. Very rude and they never call you back. I had to talk to 3 different people to find out if my insurance is covered. Everytime a receptionist answers the phone, takes the information and says they will take it to the insurance person. I wait for their call but it never came. Just to make a point I called All Stars Orthopedics which is in the same vicinity to find out the same - the receptionist answers and within 2 mins answers my question on coverage. I'm trying to say either your receptionist should have the basic knowledge of coverage from a certain insurance provider (I feel it's a basic necessities of a medical provider) or they should have the facility to transfer my call to the insurance person who can answer my question or they should have the minimum decency to call back and let me know if I'm covered instead of wasting my time. Today is my 4th call to them and a person by the name Lisa attended my call and she asked me the same information and I was frustrated and was hurrying up in providing the information to her - her response "this is why people don't call you back". Don't think I need orthopedic associates receptionist to judge me this way. BAD SERVICE. read more

Very Unprofessional. Sent me a phone message to fill in a mass of information, most of which was not relevant to my visit. I could not answer some of the questions but it would NOT let me continue until you provided an answer. Arrived 20 minutes before my appointment. They told me that I had not completed there questions and I told them why. They said they had run out of iPads and that I would have to wait until one came free. I asked how long and they did not know. It was like being treated as a herd of cattle with everyone standing around. I cancelled my appointment and left. They did not care at all. If you want to visit the WALMART of orthopedic care then this is the place for you. I will opt for a more professional and maybe smaller practitioner. read more

First of all, the surgeon (Dr. Dixon) came in the first time I met him in our appointment with a rude remark about me and made me cry!! Like, really cry!! He was rude and offensive. He never apologized!! I am a homeschooling mom with three kids and another one on the way. It took two hours for our appointment. We were leaving for a vacation the next day and we didn't have that precious time to stay in the office. I was told it would take 30-60 minutes. The amount of paperwork electronically they make you fill out is ridiculous! After the appointment, I was called twice about our cost for surgery and then pressured to sign back up for text messages when I had opted out. The finance person who called me to make a payment (and I was never notified we would have to pay beforehand) nearly hassassed me by calling 3xs in less than 24 hours!! I also kept getting text messages, despite opting out twice. When I talked to a manager, she was nice, but barely apologized. I doubt anything will change. We went with this doctor and office bc it was nearby. However, it was barely worth it and the only reason for for the star it got. If you want to deal with a rude surgeon, Dr. Dixon is your guy. If you want a doctor's office that doesn't communicate well, but then badgers you with calls and texts, this is your doctor. If you want to be respected and treated like a normal human being, don't waste your time. Go somewhere better! read more

My husband fractured his foot over the weekend and we came in for a visit. They gave him an orthopedic brace to wear for a month. The front desk was charging us a deposit of $150. We have great insurance so we were shocked. She mentioned that most insurance co don't cover it. Said if they do they will "credit" our account and we can follow up in a few weeks to check and at that point REQUEST a check to be mailed out. Luckily I had a boot a home from an old fracture. I called my insurance company (which literally took about 4min) they confirmed it's covered as long as it's a medical necessity. read more

Highly disappointed as I have had friends who go here and rave about it. I had a fallen at work, new to how WC was done so I didn't how it worked, but figured and since this office is in my network and I have been here once before I thought it would be easy. Nope. Elizabeth was like it depends of the dr will even take your WC case, but I will call you back, once I got her the info she needed AND she had gotten the approval from my adjuster. Even my adjuster was shocked I hadn't seen a dr yet when I spoke to Wed. I waited 2 days and found an AMAZING dr elsewhere who got me in the SAME DAY, but Elizabeth finally calls me back was like I can schedule you an appointment, unless you have gone somewhere else. Of course I have gone somewhere else, I was in MAJOR PAIN from a fall at work from 4 days ago! Maybe this place is great, but I won't take it as recommendation anymore and I will let people know how I was treated. read more

I was able to get appointments with two Orthopedic Specialists in less than five days. One for my hand (Dr. Dickson) and one for my foot (Dr. Willenbord.) The location was great and the staff was extremely friendly and professional. I love it when they have patient forms available on their site so you can complete them before arriving at the office. I was referred to Dr. Dickson from a friend and my husband. He was great! Explained the procedure I need to have on my hand and able to get it scheduled within the next four weeks. I also saw Dr. Willenbord for my foot. He examined the xrays provided and did not see a crack on my foot after I tripped on a curb. He recommended I continue wearing the boot for a few more weeks. The facility was clean and organized. I will definitely come back here and refer others who need specialists. read more

They treat you like cattle. Little to no bedside manner. Technically they work for me however act as if they had no time to discuss what's needed. My doctor today literally held his hand up to tell me to be quiet because I had exceeded my 30 seconds of explaining to him what the problem was. I wanted to say thanks to Dr Kent Dickson M.D. and his assistant Kristy. From my initial appoint through follow up, they were outstanding. I was able to get an appointment when I wanted. There were no delays beyond those caused by covid protocols. Dr Dickson quickly and accurately diagnosed my condition and fixed during my appointment. But, what was amazing is the way his team, led by Kristy, responded when I called and said my work had put me on long term disability. My company was wrong but needed a letter from Dr Dickson to get me off LTD. I was already back in Germany, where I worked. Still, within 2 days of being contacted, Dr Dickson and Kristy filled all the paperwork and I was off in only three days. Everyone I talked to in my company said it would be at least a week, maybe two weeks. Being on LTD was costing me a lot of money for last wages. I was worried, but should have trusted the Orthopedic Associates team at Flower Mound. I referred in March for knee swelling after some falls. Dr. Heerwagen explained his exam findings and gave options for giving a steroid injection and seeing if it improved or getting an MRI- he said both are reasonable options and it depends on what I'd like to do. I chose to do an MRI to make sure there wasn't something more serious going on (MRI was in the same building as well). Sure enough, I had damage to my lateral meniscus. Arthroscopy was scheduled rather soon in the same building. Following the procedure, I did require physical therapy which I also completed in the same building. Although my recovery has been a bit slower because my job is high activity and I have other conditions slowing healing down, the experience here has been amazing. From front desk at all three offices to support staff, all the doctors, nurses, assistants, etc- everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. I always tell people I have a great knee guy if they're in need, but they do it all. They made this somewhat nerve-racking time pretty easy. read more

The physical therapy department has horrible customer service. They make an appointment for you and and when you arrive they force you into paying fees that were not previously discussed prior to your appointment. This discussion takes place in front of other patients and was very loud. I will not be returning. You guys need some lessons from downstairs at the clinic in customer service and HIPPA when discussing insurance and payment! Please provide better staff and customer service. read more

I must say, i have always been leary of doctors. These guys are great. 2 operations in 2 years on both arms for same problem. Both exactly what they said was wrong, both all fixed up. Dequairvanes Release to be specific. Dr. Dickson is good at what he does. Perfect operations & no recovery complications both times. Dr. Camillo has a great sense of humor & puts you at ease. Nurses & staff have all been nice, no superises or games with billing. Exactly what they said it was gonna be. Reasonable too. They also take Care Credit which is great as no interest for 12 months on ours. read more

I must say they are prompt ant getting you in on time for your appointment. We waited maybe 5 mins before they called him back. They greeted us upon entry and Nicole came right in as soon as the nurse left out. Nicole is Dr. Willenborg's nurse practitioner. She was great!!!! Talk to us in depth about my husband therapy and the healing process. She answered all of our questions and offer suggestion that were suitable to him working while wearing the boot. Yes he is still stuck in the boot.. I think it's growing on him lol. The checkout was fairly easy. The ladies were nice and courteous. Setting the follow up appointment in 6 was was a breeze.
