After months of "surgery," it was time to send that 2016 Home Depot special to the big laundromat in the sky. Figured everything would be closed by the time I hit Phoenix, so I rolled the dice in Vegas. Fought traffic, made it to the Henderson store around 5:30, missed my aunt (who I recently learned works there) by minutes, but found the exact washer/dryer tower I'd been eyeing--and it was on sale. Score. Mike in the showroom was great--friendly, helpful, easy to work with. Turns out they had exactly one electric unit available at the Craig warehouse. Even better. Paid up, grabbed my free basket, and was told I could pick it up before 7. So I battled rush hour across town... only to arrive at 6:15 and find the place closed at 6, with a freshly taped sign saying so. Not ideal. That said, the warehouse team came through. I walked to another door with humans behind it and explained the situation--that I was just passing through and not coming back anytime soon--and they helped get me loaded up anyway. Got a "for future reference..." (fair enough), but I appreciated them making it happen. Overall: great showroom experience, solid customer service when it counted, and I got a good deal at the perfect time. A hiccup in communication, but a good ending--and a story to go with it.

One thing that stood out was the Meta glasses display...they had an entire wall with different styles to choose from. The LEGO section was decent, not huge, but still around 10-15 different sets available. The computer section was solid; all units were powered on and there was a good range of options, from budget friendly laptops to higher end models with all the bells and whistles. One small disappointment was the car audio section. The selection was very limited, only one radio faceplate and just a handful of speakers to choose from. Customer service, however, was great. In every department we walked through, an employee checked in to see if we needed help, which we really appreciated.

I just needed a few questions answered before making the purchase. After walking around for quite a while, I couldn't find a single employee in the patio section. I eventually asked one of the third-party water testing reps if anyone worked in that area, and they kindly offered to call someone over for me. When the employee finally arrived, he came with an attitude right from the start. His opening line was, "You called me over, what do you need?" I responded, "Patio furniture," and he looked at me and said, "Okay... looks like you found it." At that point, I felt completely dismissed and unwelcome. I walked out without buying anything. It's frustrating to be ready to make a significant purchase and not only struggle to find help, but then be treated like an inconvenience when you finally do. Definitely not the level of customer service I expected.

During the winter holiday, they've got the viral Grand Duchess Christmas tree in 7' and 9' feet that I hope to buy one day. The twinkle micro lights are heavenly. You just have to pick it up today. Great we thought. We just needed to rent a U-Haul & drive 30 minutes to get there... When we arrived at the store we found d only two corporate employees. They had gone out of business. Pete lost his job & apparently didn't want to wait for us so he sold our item to someone else and told us to have a nice day. The walk-in supposedly offered $800 more and took the grill on the spot. Since the store was now empty, the corporate managers (in town from other locations) said all they could do was apologize. Never mind the fact we had a confirmed sale and could easily pick something up from another store. They have a complete lack of business ethics. No wonder the location went out of business.

They told me to "order early" so that I'd have my appliances held for when I'm ready to have them delivered. 4 months later I'm still living in a house with no appliances. No help from them, they say it's out of their control, but they clearly gave my appliances to another order that was ready to install. Very disappointed in them telling me to order early to avoid the exact situation that I'm now in, but now they've got over 10k of my money.

Clocks like I need an attorney if this does not get corrected in a few days. STAY AWAY. Installers were very good though, they are the only reason anything fit. Store, not so helpful.
