Johnson's Corner is known for their cinnamon rolls more than anything else. However, I'm not a big cinnamon roll fan, so I normally just get their breakfast food. Everything I've ordered from there, has been great quality. It doesn't matter if you go there at 5PM, or 2AM, the quality remains great. We have been many times. But the service took around 45 minutes last night, AND they ran out of mashed potatoes??????? The food was so so, bland, and we were over charged afterwards. The hush puppies with the fish were raw in the middle, but we did not say anything since the kitchen and waitress were so behind. Living in Johnstown, there is a lack of places to grab a quick bike. I go here for breakfast, and have been about 5-6 times. Though there usually is a wait, its never long for 2-4 people. BE PREPARED to eat when you come here. You have to order a cinnamon roll, and when you do it will be the size of your head, and you will most likely eat it all. I'm partial to the biscuits and gravy, never had a bad meal. Always attentive servers and the prices are reasonable. read more

I really enjoyed the breakfast here. I was worried when it only had the stars but our food was fantastic. I went with a friend and we both got the JC's sausage breakfast. It was really really good. You given a choice of buffalo sausage or German sausage. I got the German and my friend got the buffalo both were fantastic. Our waitress Melissa did fantastic job and I think that everyone who passed us all for coffee. Buy one small gripe was that the biscuits that came with the meal were a little cool in the center but I would not have been able to finish it anyway. We split is cinnamon roll and between the two of us it was still way too big To eat in one sitting. We will definitely go back. read more

Decent cinnamon roll. I wouldn't dare to say the best in America. I would say one of the bigger sugary sweet ones for sure though! It is worth checking out. If you order it to go be sure to microwave the cinnamon roll. Without the microwave they are a bit dry and the gooey frosting just sticks to the bottom of the container. I have passed by this place numerous times when traveling I-25 and each time I've made a mental note to stop on the next trip. Finally, the opportunity came last Saturday. They serve typical diner fare; basic and filling. But first you have to get by the pastry case. It is filled with cream pies, fruit pies, mini pies, cupcakes, regular cakes, muffins, cookies....and those large old-fashioned cinnamon rolls that are advertised on billboards on both sides of the highway. Service is friendly and attentive. Stop in if only for the experience. And don't forget the cinnamon roll for tomorrow's breakfast. read more

Just stopped by for the 4th or 5th time on the way home from an Eagles Games at the Budweiser Event Center. Love coming here for cheap home- cookin'. I don't care for cinnamon rolls, but the chicken fried steak is great, and I love the grilled cheese. The fries can be hit or miss, which is why I only gave 3 stars - last night they were chewy. Hay! You want to go here to be treated like crap! We and my large family always go there after a day or weekend of boating! We went the end of the summer last year and there was about 18 of us. We had this one dumb ass waitress come to the table and was taking offers NOT WELL EITHER! Now mind you we looked a bit rough as we had been Jet Skiing so She got to my husband he gave his order then she asked him what would your mother want?!!!??!!! We all look around and she said you mam aren't you the mom?! What a F Low No Class B! I was 30 His mom was 80! My entire family laughed and I wanted to die! I looked directly at her and said DO I LOOK LIKE IM 80 f years old???? This dump has no mannerisms no class NO EDUCATION AT AL!!! Things always change. For years family owned Johnson's Corner was good food and open 24 hours, even Christmas Day. Petro Truck Centers now owns and operates here now with about what you expect from this chain. Food quality and portions are down and no longer a true 24 hour restaurant. We don't stop in too often, but were headed up to Greeley early Saturday morning, and decided to drop in for breakfast and one of the iconic cinnamon rolls. Service was slow. We were seated, read through the menu, and proceeded to have a steady line of waitresses pass our table without so much as a second glance. Finally piled all the menus on the edge of the table and was considering leaving when a waitress stopped to take our drink order. We insisted on placing our meal order at the same time. Two of us ordered standard breakfast fare of eggs and bacon/sausage, while the remaining member of the party ordered the cinnamon roll french toast with a cup of fresh fruit. Ordered one of their famous cinnamon roll to share between the three of us. Cinnamon roll came out first and all three of us were disappointed as it was not what any of us had remembered. Lacking cinnamon filling, and slathered in a quart of the imitation almond icing it was akin to dipping white bread in overly sweet, barely warm, too much almond extract, icing. After waiting another two forevers, the breakfast arrived. The egg orders were switched, with my wife getting my over-easy eggs. Easy fix. swap plates and meat and toast and all is good. Not quite. Specifically asked for crispy hash browns, and instead they were barely browned and lukewarm, just like hers, The fresh fruit cup ended up being canned yellow cling peaches, and the cinnamon french toast tasted stale. Overall quite disappointing. Since all our earlier visits were better, went ahead and gave it two stars, but won't be in too much of a hurry to try it again. read more

We were forced to eat here, because our 26 y/o Civic broke down at the exit. It was 5 pm, and the tow truck guy wasn't coming for 90 minutes. So, we said, what the hey...we're hungry, why not? We were pleasantly surprised by the food! We got a taco salad and a Reuben with sweet potato fries. The taco salad was a bit bland, but the Reuben was excellent. The sweet potato fries are the best I've ever had! The fries came with a dip that I assumed was ranch...boy was I surprised when I tasted it...spiced marshmallow dip! Goes with the fries. It really tastes good with the fries, but I'm not a "sweets dinner" kind of person. And it's a truck stop, people. No, it's not the cleanest. But the food was good and the servers were friendly. Back in the 80's when I lived in Johnstown, and it was much smaller town at the time, just the old part of town - this truck stop had the best fried shrimp around. Most others had pre-breaded shrimp, but here they had real shrimp, breaded them themselves, was great. I am glad this outfit is still in business, so many that I remember from back in the day are gone. read more

Took 20 minutes to get a table Close to 15 minutes to get asked for the order and another 15 to 20 to have the food delivered Took close to 15 minutes to get a refill of Decafinated coffee and when the food finally arrived the food was cold and the toast was burned The person serving us was very distracted and took time to vist and talk She was eaven late with the check I was just looking for a normal breakfast and they didn't deliver I can see why the long lines is mostly the same people sitting there for over one hour. read more

This is just like a typical Truck Stop restaurant with a few exception the restroom, store and restaurant are kept clean at all times. The service was excellent the hostess sat me and the waitress was a few seconds behind the hostess service was fast and there was no rush to get you out of the restaurant. read more

this is the second time we have had to eat here as truck drivers. colorado is not trucker friendly, its a oh yeah bring the things we need and eat, take our beer all over the country but get the hell out!!! this is why we ended up eating here, big mistake. this was our valentines dinner out so we had our hearts set on some good food, it was the worst cod and catfish we have ever had. i got the cod, fries and green beans. hell could have gone to a grocery store and had better buying gortons. green beans out of a can and over boiled with way too much bacon that has got to be 95% fat. my husband had the catfish ... yuck and double yuck. the hush puppies were the best thing. our waitress was a total bitch to me but drooled over my husband and the other men around us. i just wanted water, ice and lemon. so she brings me a glass of water with maybe 3 ice cubes and no lemon...i asked again so she gets two wedges with the tongs walks over and tosses them in to luke warm water. she came back with our food dropped green beans on table, picked them up with her hand and put them back in the dish...discusting what a fat pig. she made sure to fly back by and ask my husband if all ok and what he was drinking and never asked me. $29.00 plus only 1 for her tip from my husband. advice tip, don't flirt with my husband and treat me like shit. if you had just been halfway nice to me you would have had a 30% tip. My buddy and I stopped here on our way back from a LONG gig and were starving. We had plans to eat elsewhere but driving by I told him how much I enjoyed this place and wanted him to try it. Well, we will never be going back. We were sat after a wait (which was OK, they were fairly busy at the time). I ordered water and my bud ordered coffee. An hour later (we timed it) I got a water refill, but no coffee refill. We watched others around us be seated after us and receive their food. We never got a "the food will be right out" or "the kitchen is a little behind, we'll be with you soon". I used to work in food service, that's all I needed in order to be satisfied. Instead the 3rd table who had been seated after us received their food so I mentioned that to her. No apology, just "I'll go get the manger". The manager never came by, instead she brought us the check and said we got a 20% discount. Whoop-de-doo. Finally our food came and it was luke-warm/cold, 1 hour and 23 minutes after we sat down. Neither of us had the guts to walk out but I wish we would have. The waitress claimed they were exceptionally (my word, not hers) busy, though I noticed several times the wait staff chatting near the soda dispensers. Overall I was extremely upset with the service and the fact that the manager didn't even come by the table tells me they don't care about improving their service. They're always swamped, my not going back won't hurt their business at all, but I'm happy to give it to someone who will take care of their customers. I do not give second chances to restaurants, so if you want treated well just drive north a few more miles and eat in Loveland. They may not have the "World's Best Cinnamon Rolls", but I promise they won't have "The World's Worst Customer Service" read more

This has been my "go to breakfast burrito" place anytime I'm close. More than 20 years of going there has come to an end. Went there Sunday 3/6 and was really looking forward to my favorite meal. That plate full of burrito with the hash browns having to be on a separate plate. The delicious green chilly smothering it and a hand full of cheese melted on top.... What came out was not what I wanted or even thought would ever come from the Johnson's Corner kitchen! Now I understand cutbacks, downsizing or whatever you want to call it. It was outrageous what they have done! The burrito wasn't a little smaller, it was half the size as what it was before TA took over here. It was filled with what looked like and tasted like "McMuffin" eggs. Then topped with a jarred picante sauce which was still cold!
