We also took a rosemary homemade bread home that was great too, so if you are in the area go ahead & check this place out, staff was great & of course we are coming back to try some more pastries!

I parked under a tree & entered around the corner. Lots of pastry selections with coffee selections as well. I took my time as a lot looked yummy. I chose a savory pizza bread which had the choice of Pepperoni or just cheese. I chose the Pepperoni. Saw a Cruffin so I asked the clerk what it was filled with & she said Strawberry. Chose that & a featured Lavender VaLatte with Oat Milk. The clerk put the pastries on an aluminum tray lined with a wax paper sheet but I had her bag my Cruffin. She proceeded to make my Lavender Latte & I saw her pouring regular whole milk in the frother so I asked if that was Oatmilk & she stopped herself & said "No it's not. Sorry, I didn't write the order down" or something to that effect. I sat down by the one soda while she made my drink which was smooth & subtly lavender. The pizza bread didn't have a chewy bread texture and was soft. My friend arrived and ordered a large Americano, a Cruffin, Tart -pastel de nata & savory tomato/cheese pizza twist Danish pastry. She loved the pastel de nata as it reminded her of Portuguese tarts. We sat on the wooden tables with benched seating & chairs. The sofas are soft but one fabric chair had stains on it. There are other small tables & barstools with counter seating. Nice natural light flows in. Bathrooms were clean & additional seating was outside on a deck. I could see a nice party outside except the train runs across the street so that could be an issue as they blow their horns coming thru. They sell merch & preserved jellies & honey too.

if you havent stopped by william's confectionery you are MISSING OUT!…read more breakfast! yum! lunches! yum! desserts YUMMMMM! service is always fast & friendly. nice atmosphere and you can tell the "locals" treasure this spot. first time trying lunch (hard to pass up those light fluffy biscuits with breakfast - upgrade from toast for .50 last time i asked. thursday lunch had pork chops, smothered (and i think fried or grilled, i quit reading after SMOTHERED!) came with rice & gravy, greens and pineapple casserole. it was an insult to the chop for a knife to be provided. although this chop was huge, and thick, it was FORK tender! gravy was delicious too, not that gloppy dark brown stuff, but nicely textured, extremely tasty homemade sauce. greens - perfection. i wasnt sure about the pineapple casserole, it wasnt something i was familiar with. seemed to be a combo of pineapple chunks, shredded cheese with a crunchy topping. sounded like an unusual combo, but it was tasty. always fun to find something new. grabbed EXTRA greens to go with my leftover pork chop along with a raspberry bar & my fave chess pie for hubbie & i to share later.

The positives first: the food was hot, fresh, and clearly made to order, which we always appreciate. The display case was filled with beautiful, tempting desserts that definitely caught our attention. If you have a sweet tooth, that alone might make the stop worthwhile. The breakfast menu leans toward classic, home-style staples--pancakes, hash browns, eggs, sausage--simple and familiar comfort food. While everything was prepared well, nothing particularly stood out or felt unique compared to other traditional breakfast spots. Service during our visit was a bit slow and didn't feel especially warm or attentive. The staff appeared to be family-run, which often adds charm to a place, but we didn't experience the kind of welcoming, lively atmosphere you might expect from a family-style restaurant. It seemed like everyone may have just been having a long day. My husband usually prefers Tex-Mex or breakfast tacos, and since I don't indulge in bacon and eggs very often, I tend to look for a breakfast spot that really wows us when we do go that route. While Williams delivered solid, made-to-order food, it just didn't quite "hit it out of the park" for us this time. That said, every restaurant can have an off morning, and others may have a different experience--especially given the positive reviews that brought us in.
