Just had Johnson company come out to look at my softener, which has appeared not to be working for about 3-4 weeks. The associate's name was Jason and he called ahead and gave me a time slot and then arrived inside of that slot. He needed all of about 15-20 mins and said he had it back working like new after installing some new valves. He gave me a lot of helpful advice about how well it's working now, when to add salt, and how to set my hardness ratio on the machine. For the $100 bucks that included the visit and the time and the parts, this was truly well spent money. I really appreciated the rare professionalism from my initial call until the problem was fixed. The associate very kindly answered all my questions patiently. When I need another softener, these guys are getting my first call. First rate operation. read more

The hidden 4% credit card processing fee was outrageous. Especially when you know they are writing off the fees on their taxes every year. They need to tell you that when the appointment is set up. Unfortunately, I just experienced bad service from Johnson Water. Johnson installed a water softener at my house today, and in the process broke my tankless water heater. As well, none of my showers will turn on and only the faucets will turn on. They left my house without explanation as to why the showers won't turn on, and they insisted that they did not break the tankless water heater. I had to call another company to come out tomorrow to repair my tankless water heater and figure out how to get my 3 showers to turn back on. I've been a customer for 21 years. I'm astonished how bad this turned out. Please think twice before using this company. read more

On January 7, 2025, I entered into a service agreement with Johnson Water Conditioning Co. Since installation, I have experienced ongoing issues with the water softening equipment and have consistently reported these concerns to the company. I contacted Johnson Water on three separate occasions to report that the system was not functioning properly. A technician was dispatched twice, each time displaying unprofessional behavior and dismissing my concerns without thorough inspection. On the third occasion, I specifically requested a different technician and asked that the water be tested to verify the equipment's performance. Despite my request, the same technician was sent again. However, he did conduct a water test, which confirmed that the equipment was not operating correctly and that the water remained hard--just as it was prior to installation. These findings were confirmed in June, despite my repeated complaints beginning in February. The issue has only recently been resolved. I contacted the company to request a credit for the five months during which the equipment was non-functional. My request was denied by a manager named Kerry. I have paid for five months of service without receiving the intended benefit. This experience reflects poorly on the company's commitment to customer service. Based on my experience, I do not recommend renting, purchasing, or using services from Johnson Water Conditioning Co., as customer concerns are not handled appropriately or professionally. I respectfully request that Johnson Water Conditioning Co. reconsider its position and issue a credit for the months during which the equipment was not functioning. I believe this would be a fair resolution and a reflection of good faith toward customer satisfaction. read more

We bought a reconditioned water softening system 7 years ago for $450 from them. The unit was starting to make noises and not functioning properly so we contacted them. They sent out a tech today. Service call was $120 and they fixed the issue! These guys are honest brokers and do great work. Could not recommend them enough. read more

Beware !!!! Stay away from that company !!!! I hired them to replace my softener system and the kitchen's drinking water filter . They send to my house an unskilled installer !!! After a few months , one of the plumbing lines got disconnected and it flooded my basement . Carpet, furniture and walls were destroyed ! They came back to fix the issue ( reconnect the line ) but once again they sent a brand new guy to do this. This kid had no experience , started recently !!! He left pipes and the filter disconnected again!!! I had to hire a plumber to install it properly so we can use the filtering system . The mitigation company had to come over and dry out the basement and replace the carpet, walls and trim . I called them 20 times and no one bother to call me back even ones. read more

It's because I can't give zero stars. I don't review places but today I'm livid. We were looking to get reverse osmosis done at our place and we have called a week prior and let them know our timings since my husband and I both work and asked for the first morning appointment available. The afternoon before I received a text saying they can come anywhere from 7am-9pm. I immediately called and said that's not ok we have to go to work so I was told anywhere between 8am-9am. The next day no one showed up. I received a text at 835am that someone was on their way. When I called they said they were running behind. No one bothered to call us and tell us that...I had to call. Then I was told between 130-330 so my husband said he would come home early and just do a half day. It's 341pm and I get a text that not someone is on his way. I call and it was still going to be another 30-45 mins. When I called the office I was given 100 excuses and no solution. Needless to say make sure to take your entire day off in order to wait for them. I will never think about this company again. read more

Worse customer service and they don't take responsibility. Tried to get someone out to work on our chlorine system(which has not worked properly since it was installed). and we were put off for 2 weeks because they only come out on Tuesdays and I happened to call on a Tuesday morning. So they scheduled me for the following Tuesday. I call the Monday before to tell them I needed an appointment for the next day in the afternoon and even though the schedule was not made, they scheduled me for the morning. Because I was not home, they could not schedule me for another week. PLEASE READ THE COMPLAINT FILED ON THE BBB SITE. If you read the complaint, you will see they went tit-for-tat. Never stepped up to resolve the issues. I have nothing but good things to say about the techs and the gentlemen that picked up their water softener. (I canceled the service) We have called and emailed the company to have the owner Jon call us to resolve that matter regarding the service and the chlorine system that has not worked and we are still waiting for a response. Needless to say, we will be canceling all 3 accounts. read more

I was looking for a new water softener service, as my original guy Tim became quite angry and unprofessional. Rick Fields came out to service my Autotrol valve unit, and immediately tested the unit, replaced a filter-that was never looked at in the 8 years Tim serviced it--cleaned another, checked the brine tank and ran the system. My water was inconsistently softening, but now we're all set. Great quick service. My new go to company. read more

All of a sudden we had rust in our well water and it was clogging our whole house filter. Our well company suggest we call Johnson Water. They came out and tested the water. It showed a high volume of iron. They installed a Water Conditioning unit and took out our existing filter. This unit cleans itself each night so no more changing filters weekly! We are very satisfied and would recommend Johnson Water. read more

It was not an easy install because the old system, also a Johnson, dated back to 2004, and to another owner - and to another set of city ordinances. They gave us a quote and we decided to go with them. They had a great communication on the date and time of the install. Their equipment was leaking all over the basement in a brand new house. They fix it, but need to pay a huge service call fee, for some reason. These guys don't do it right the 1st time, then they charge you again to come back & do it again. read more

We had an older water softening system and iron buster that was past its life span. I made one phone call and Austin was at my house the very next day. He looked at my old system and suggested what I should do. I looked around and compared prices with other water treatment companies, Johnson was by far the best priced. Austin came out and installed the new larger water softening system and a new Iron buster tank. Bought a house year ago in unincorporated area that uses well water. Water was not terrible but it was not great and I have always been used to city water. I can tell my water softener & iron tank was old and I was tired of messing with it to try figure out how to get great water. My water was consistently smelling and I always needed to let water run awhile before using. I called up and talked to Greg who had next day availability to check out my problem. He provided fair pricing for both leasing and buying. I signed up and by end of week they sent Austin who did amazing installation work. I have been a customer for 28 years and have always been happy until about 2 months ago. I have recommended this company numerous times but can no longer do that. I called to find out how much it would cost to move my tank a short distance to a corner instead of it sitting out in the way. I was told it had to be moved by them and not my plumber, but it would not be expensive. I even sent them pictures. I asked if they would estimate around $200-$300 and the response was yes probably. I was charged $650. I would have worked around the tank rather than move it if I t was going to be this expensive. I have been in contact with them numerous times and promised phone calls back but that doesn't seem to always happen. I did receive one phone call that they were going to waive my rental fee, but he wasn't sure how long. I was told he would get back to me on that , and I never received a return phone call. This whole ordeal has left a pit in my stomach. I have spent 2 months trying to come up with a fair resolution. I will be moving on with a lesson to not trust everyone you are loyal to. read more

After renting for years and then buying, they came for a repair that went wrong and our calls were met with lie after lie regarding a resolution and we found our our refund was going to be in cash because the serviceman was going to come out and pay us from his own money because the company wouldn't refund it by credit card. The owner is arrogant and will belittle you if you question him, as he does in responding to reviews and as he did in the BBB review I did of him. RUN FROM THIS BUSINESS! read more

I was happy with no complaints about the previous service I left behind, but Johnson Water Conditioning has far exceeded my expectations. The office is always friendly and helpful, and I thought I hit the jackpot of customer service with Jason, who is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. However, today during a unit replacement for leakage, Matt came out. He also was very friendly, knowledgeable, and excellent at explaining everything about my new unit and what he was doing. After cleaning up his work area, he asked if I had any other questions. I explained that I didn't know anything about changing filters on my reverse osmosis. What an amazing company! The man they sent me, Jason, is exemplary as a technician. The well water in my new home smelled awful, contained particles and wasn't running right.
