I have been going to Paradise Valley Family Medicine for quite a number of years, and I have had…read moreDr. Anthony Katz as my primary care physician. When I remember to make my annual checkup with enough notice, I meet with Dr. Katz. Otherwise, I have met with several of his nurse practitioners. I have been pleased with my interactions with Dr. Katz and the nurse practitioners, who I feel all listen to me, provide updates in a thoughtful manner, and follow-up afterwards with any referrals or prescriptions. There is an automated system that can connect people with the front desk, voicemail system, or provide other system as need be. When you're speaking with the front desk, they are quite helpful whether they answer questions or help schedule or reschedule an appointment. Any paperwork is submitted and charges are made in advance or following the appointment so that you do not need to worry about either while you're checking in for your appointment. Any bloodwork is done in the office instead of going to a separate location (as they used to do a few years back). Needless to say, it's very convenient to work with the Paradise Valley Family Medicine office. As for Dr. Katz and the nurse practitioners, they have gone out of their way to make calls, do research, and follow-up with me between appointments to ensure that I am taken care of whether it is a sleep study, having a prescription be honored, or even having a prescription successfully make it to the nearby pharmacy. They use a portal, which is easy for sharing test results, visit summaries, or sending messages back and forth. You can learn more about the Paradise Valley Family Medicine on their website (https://www.pvfamilymed.com). Get offer primary care, well child exams, well woman examinations, annual physicals, sports and camp physicals, adult and pediatric immunizations, preventative health care, and pre-operative clearance. To see Dr. Katz or another doctor, make an appointment about a month in advance. You can see a nurse practitioner about two weeks in advance, and they are wonderful! I have enjoyed working with Brooke and Allison in the past. They are typically open Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM and on Friday from 8 AM to 12 noon. Holiday hours differ a bit. All in all, I'm glad to go to the Paradise Valley Family Medicine and recommend them to anyone needing a primary care physician.

He always encourages me to keep up to date on my checkups and has also been very helpful in getting medical orders and prescriptions completed, even with organizations that are not very good at processing. Dr. Gerald Asin Dr…read more Gerald Asin is an extraordinary physician in every sense of the word the kind of doctor we once believed existed only in memory or legend. He listens, truly listens, as if each patient were the only one on earth. He knows us not as charts or lab results, but as people with stories, fears, hopes, and a desire simply to be understood. His bedside manner is exquisite calm, confident, and deeply human. With a presence both gentle and resolute, he brings comfort before even speaking a word. His knowledge is vast, precise, and astonishing, yet carried with humility and grace. A master diagnostician, he sees what others overlook, finds clarity where there is confusion, and brings healing not only through science, but through kindness. To be his patient is to feel protected, cared for, and held in the capable hands of a gifted healer and a magnificent human being. There is, in him, the rare combination of wisdom, patience, compassion, and genuine love for people the true marks of a physician of the highest calling. As the Jewish saying goes: "A good doctor cures the disease; a great doctor cures the patient." And Dr. Asin? Well he cures the patient, explains the disease, calms the family, reassures the worrier, educates the curious, charms the skeptic, and somehow still keeps the office running like a Swiss watch. Frankly, at this point we're not entirely convinced he's just a doctor. He may also be part psychologist, part philosopher, part miracle worker, and part magician because every time we leave his office we feel better, wiser, and mysteriously convinced to take our medications. And the funniest part? We all pretend we're going for "a quick check-up," but in truth we're going because spending time with Dr. Asin is cheaper than therapy, safer than Google, and infinitely more reliable than asking your cousin on WhatsApp why your knee suddenly hurts on Tuesdays. May God bless him with strength, health, and patience especially patience, because with us as his patients... he's going to need it. A long time patient Jose Pienknagura
