It's right off Georgetown Street adjacent to a pool, elementary school and baseball field. The amenities include: a playground, tennis courts, recreation center, basketball courts, etc. As an adolescent, I've attended many community festivals hosted here and have very fond memories. There have been some upgrades and the park is being maintained well.

I met a lovely man named Dave in the champion horse barn. He was fantastic, and took the time to tell me a bit of horse history. He even brought one of the retired champions up to the stall door so that my dog could get familiar with horses. Meeting Dave made my entire trip that even more memorable. We got to stop and watch some of the horse events going on. I loved watching the horses competing in the jump course. This is a large park and there is a lot to take your time and see. They have a nice gift shop. There is a food hall too but I didn't try it during this trip. It is $28 to get in, but is worth it and you can get in the next day for free. I am glad I had the opportunity to stop and see the park.

Our puppy loved the ducks (and these were some FRIENDLY and INTERACTIVE ducks...) and we experienced some other cool avian sightings. Not a surprise - but the restrooms were suitably scary and during the first part of our visit, the overcast and gray sky made the cement building feel ripe for a horror movie experience... compete with a scary service truck and a man in stained overalls. (Please note, the gentleman was actually very friendly and engaging and was hard at work - he was not in any way a negative presence). The park is expansive and it was actually really busy for a Thursday evening. The dog park was intriguing but we ran out of time to visit. The play area had something for all ages and was popular with children through teens. Loads of parking and the shelter area was great for a school gathering. Can't wait to visit again!

There are plenty of green spaces and empty fields to play frisbee, flag football, or volleyball. I drove to the dog park area since the park is strict on having the dogs on leash at all times, so I went there. The dog parks for both small and large dogs are enormous! I have never seen that size of a dog park since I was in Colorado--and that state is known for being pet friendly, so their parks and restaurants are 90% pet-friendly. I took my dog to the small dog park as he is small. It was still 4 P.m. and too hot for my dog. There are not a lot of shades in the small dog area compared to the large dog area. I did not stay that long as my dog did not like being grilled under the sun. I checked out the rest of the park by driving around and noticed a vast playground, a marina (although the water has receded), empty fields, a picnic area, and even a camping area! If I had come later in the day when it was not too hot for my dog, I would have enjoyed my stay here. I have seen plenty of residents around here with their kids, birthday party groups, and groups playing frisbee. I can tell that it is a great park to visit. Cool spot ~

I did too and I…read moredidn't even fall like I expected lol It's a bit dingy both inside and outside but it's a sports center so not a big deal. The customer service was slow but they were nice. One lady was doing both sides (front where you get tickets and back where you get skate rentals) and so there was a little wait but it wasn't a big deal. They also look to offer mini golf but we only did the ice skating. We will definitely be returning. Make sure you go during open skate hours.

The entire park smelled like chocolate chip cookies. There's a community center there, so I'm guessing they were baking cookies in it? It probably doesn't always smell like cookies, but I enjoyed that it did during my visit.

The park itself has baseball, softball, basketball, a swimming pool, tennis courts, etc. And the "Loudon House" aka the castle, around which the park is situated houses the Lexington Art League Gallery. They have ongoing art exhibits throughout the year and studio space for artists as well. The gallery at the Loudon House also hosts all kinds of events throughout the year, including their fun First Friday parties each month, where they feature the art, of course, but also local bands and restaurant fare.

The entrance to Create is a toy store and it looked like they had a lot of fun items- I will definitely be back when looking for kids gifts. We were welcomed by the owners through the lego rainbow to join the party. My son was immediately so excited about all the fun activities that were set up! There were 3 sensory/play bins, a play dough station, and an art station arranged with tons of supplies for the party-goers to paint a doughnut. My son is a year and a half so he was mainly into the sensory bins. There was also a giant "cake" set up with colored shaving cream "paint" so the attendees could decorate the cake. I was a little worried that my son was making such a mess being pretty young, but the owners were really chill about it and encouraged him to participate! We had a great experience and I would love to go back to Create!

The price was $20 per kid which I think is a decent price for the activities!
