ZERO STARS DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Life guard said we cant swim and that we needed life jackets in the shallow end!!! Plus we needed a parent touching us at all time. And my legal guardian was in the water with us and the lifeguard had said that she needed to be physically with us even though she was! She then accused us of lying when we said our legal guardian was in the water with us. She had red short hair, a sleeve of tattoos, had colorful crocs, and was wearing a black one piece bathing suit. So if you see her , make sure to report her immediately!!! By the way this happened on a wednesday. Thanks for your time and I do not recommend this place. Spend your money elsewhere and out of more high quality place. Also, before I get off i'd like to say the bathrooms were disgusting and there was mold. There was mold on the walkways in the gym and it smelled like sweat. I also witnessed a young child slip and fall on the wet inside floors. Not a single worker smiled back at us and they were talking crap about my leagal guardian and us. If I can give this place zero stars, I would , but that's not possible so I have to give it one star. My favorite YMCA in Lexington! They have a warm water pool, a lap pool, a fairly large outdoor pool and a hot tub with a sauna.

This is a great YMCA facility! The Beaumont Y has an indoor and outdoor pool, group exercise classes, basketball courts, running track, weight room and more treadmills and ellipticals than I can count. I really like the indoor pool at the Beaumont Y- there usually is at least one available lane to swim laps in. This Y is definitely family-friendly, and there are a lot of programs for kids offered. As with the other Lexington YMCA branches, the variety of classes offered here is great- and I'm loving the new Y app that makes it easy to check the group exercise schedule for all locations. The downsides are that parking and dealing with Beaumont traffic can be a pain (Harrodsburg Rd during rush hour is a no for me) but the staff here are friendly and helpful! read more

They have since updated the equipment (and increased the prices). In the long fun, if you have kids who will take advantage of the various activities they offer (or you do yourself, they have adult activities as well), then it's worth it. If it's just you, again, I think you'd be better served somewhere else. read more

The pool is dilapidated and dirty you can see black mold growing on the concrete floor and the sides of the pool. The rails are very rusty and loose. The water class instructor is rude and was unwilling to share that great big pool with an out of towner as a one time courtesy. Where I'm from a visitor to my Y would not have been treated like that. The locker room was dirty and smelled of mildew the lockers are painted over rust. The toilets were also dirty. I was very disappointed in the out dated treadmills and the cloth rags to clean the machines are tacky and were left all over the benches in the pool area and piled on a tacky shelf in the work out area. If I could give a minus star to this place I would. I don't recommend anyone to visit this place ever and I will never return. read more

Great place in Beaumont to workout. This is a very nice Y. I especially love the heated pool and many options for group fitness. They have a strong focus on wellness for the community with all age groups represented. I also love the collaboration with KY Health One. I used to live close to this Y, then I moved closer to town and was basically halfway between this location and the High Street Branch. I chose to switch locations, and I am glad I did. If you have a family, Beaumont is great, but if you prefer to run, swim, work out, play basketball, with out being bothered much, I'd recommend the High Street Branch. Unless you are able to go to the gym from 9am - 3pm, there are always a ton of kids running around here with virtually no supervision. It gets really annoying when you're trying to work out and kids keep getting on the machines in front of you and next to you and messing around for 30 seconds then running off, bumping into you and yelling at each other. read more

I am really excited about the Beaumont Y. I've been a member for years and I'm surprised at how little people know about the facility and its programs. As a member, not only do you have access to the gym and pools (indoor and outdoor) but there are several included programs to participate in. Yoga, pilates, group exercises, etc are just some. And it's the best pool pass in town. Stop in and ask for Katy. She's thorough in getting you acquainted with the facility and all it has to offer. read more

If you go in the early morning, then you may be fine. Go other times of the day and it's dirty, crowded, and at 75 bucks a month, certainly not a bargain. Seriously, the showers are disgusting with awful drainage. Take that money and buy some warm clothes and run outside. read more

Love this gym! They have a large amount of well maintained fitness equipment, two indoor pools and an outdoor pool. Lots of fitness classes and a very nice area for children to play. The only downside is that the gym can get pretty crowded, especially in the cardio area. I've had to wait on an elliptical machine before, which can be a drag. Other than that, excellent place to work out! read more

You can't tell this place is about 15 years old when you walk in. Friendly and helpful staff, indoor/outdoor pools, fitness equipment, indoor walking area, 2 basketball courts, multiple classrooms, water aerobics, wellness instructors and fitness coaches, plus over 200 free classes per month. I signed up for swim classes for my daughter, which were cancelled twice. I joined so that we could swim together once she learned, but after two cancellations, I cancelled my membership. They wouldn't refund me, despite my cancellation being because THEY FAILED TO RENDER SERVICES. Don't join if you want to do anything beyond using the equipment alone. read more

My husband and I have been members here for over 3 years. For the first 3 years we really enjoyed using the machines and practicing yoga here. Although it has been quite busy during peak hours, especially January and February month's, everything operated smoothly and professionally as far as we were concerned. For some reason in January 2014 things took a turn for the bad. The machines were not being cleaned by the previous user on a regular basis. On a few occasions there have been no rags to even clean them with. Underage children use the machines. There has even been a person running bare foot on the indoor track with no one around to enforce the rules. Evening personnel went from being mature adults who did enforce the rules professionally and discreetly to young people who don't care or are afraid to confront the offender. We have complained on deaf ears. The final straw has been that the people using the room next to our Wednesday night yoga class have been interrupting our class to ask when we will be done, opening our door to see if we're done, allowing their children to bang on our window continuously, and being excessively noisy in the adjacent room long before their activity is supposed to begin. We, along with several of our other fellow classmates, complained to the Director over a month ago after enduring weeks of the same treatment. We were told that class was an unauthorized class and the issue would be resolved. A couple of weeks went by and all was calm. The excessive noise and persistent opening of our door by the previous offenders came back once again and has progressively gotten worse over the last 3 weeks. It has become obvious to us that we are not valued members and have chosen to take our membership elsewhere. Surely we can find a more peaceful place to practice yoga and maintain or improve our fitness level. We are saddened to leave the familiar faces we have come to know and love in a few of the employees and other members. In leaving this review we hope it may in some way help you and the YMCA. read more
