I came here for a fill ($40) and had such a great experience. I showed her a picture and she knew exactly what I needed, and also educated me a bit on what shape works for my hands (which I needed lol). She was sooo friendly and worked FAST. I was in and out in about 35-40 minutes. At first I was worried she was going to rush through it and not do a good job since this was my first time with her, but she just works fast and is still able to do a careful thorough job. Great nail salon! I came in with acrylics that needed to be taken off. John and Wendy both did a great job taking them off with no damage to my nails! I got a gel manicure and a pedicure which Wendy did for me. Wendy was so friendly and helpful. She picked out a color for me and it turned out so nice! I love that because I'm usually so bad at picking out colors she spent so much time cleaning up my nails and toes, they feel so good now! She really took care of my damaged nails by shaping them and putting on multiple layers of base coat to help my thin nails. They tuned out so cute! I will definitely be back! read more

I got my nails done at John's Creation today with two of my girlfriends. They both got pink and white gel tips for $38. Me, being too chicken to get gels or anything other than nail polish put onto my nails, got a French manicure ($17). Actually, the reason I got a French manicure is because I couldn't decide on a nail polish color. Should I go for a natural look or my go-to color, red? They use mostly OPI nail colors, but also have a small selection of Essie and Creative Nail Design nail polish. By the door, they have four large massage chairs and individual jet baths for pedicures ($25). A mani/pedi is $35, which is $2 cheaper than having them done separately. I was impressed by the long leg and foot massage the pedicurist gave this woman. The man who did my nails didn't speak very much English, but he did a great job on my nails. He was really careful when trimming my cuticles (without me asking), which put me at ease, because after one bad experience, I haven't had them cut in more than 5 years. My girlfriends really like the outcome of their nails too, so John and his team made the three of us very happy. I would definitely return here when I want to pamper myself. :) ------ I feel like I should mention that John and his team were really accommodating to my friend who has an electric wheelchair. I'm very, very picky when it comes to my gel nails. If my nails are botched, it puts me in the worst mood. John's Creation is the place to go if you want your nails done right. I am a regular to the salon and wouldn't want to go anywhere else. My preference is the dark pink with white for my long nails. The lengths of my nails are always even, the right shape (square) and the gel keeps them looking shiny for two weeks. My $28 bucks is well spent here for a fill and the pedicures are $25. Sometimes I go shorter when I have a dark color and other times I like to go all out with the different color gels that he has. Nails are a fun accessory and why not have some fun? I'm tough on my nails too, and these babies stay on for two weeks, sometimes three. I can't remember the last time a nail broke. The Yelp listing shows the hours wrong. The shop is open Mon - Sat. I know during the week, it's open until 7pm. The staff prefers cash, but I think they'll accept credit cards. read more

I arrived early but I was a little miffed that two other women who arrived later than I (we all had 1pm appointments) were serviced before me, resulting in my having to wait over 20 minutes- which is what I was trying to avoid with the appointment! Other than that, John gave me the best acrylic job I've ever had and was professional and fast. Removing my old nails and putting on new ones took about 40 minutes. I like the way my nails turned out overall. Wendy did a good job. I like the brown and pink together, the shape, the length and the thickness/thinness. I called in the morning and spoke to John and he squeezed me in even though they had a full schedule. I was grateful for that. The only reason I didn't give five starts is because of a few details that could be improved upon. There are a couple spots that have little grains or something under the gel, so there are little bumps. The cuticle area around at least one of the nails doesn't look nice because of skin sticking up a little bit. A couple of the side edges aren't painted all the way. All in all, I'm still satisfied with my nails and I will still go back. I will just pay more attention to the details while I'm there and let them know. read more

I have brought about 10-15 customers minimum . Every time I make a appointment I would always have to wait 10-20 minutes since they would over booked . Few months ago I had a incident with owner one of the girls double booked me and another girls. I got out my job went straight their to be told no sorry can't do your nails girl who booked me should not have answer the phone when I called to book because she doesn't know the schedule . I swore I wouldn't go back because of the waste of time and embarrassment but the girl who does my nails is so good that I gave in. I let that incident pass . Well today 5/18 I was running 10 minutes late which I am never late to my appt I was having my sister,sister in law and I get pedis plus get nails done. I was told that they would not be able to do the pedis only nails because they were too busy and running behind and me being late would push them even more behind . I told owner John that I had to wait multiple times for them that if they could do them this time , he right away said no so I told them okay but I will go in to fix my chipped nails that I have only had for 3 days he right away said I will just give you the money back I have no time for this . When I agreed then he said I will even give you $200 so you will stop bugging. I show up for my refund and their is only 1 person in whole salon getting nails done. I don't understand how they were so busy.This guy is beyond rude and always makes sexual comments about everybody . I will never ever go back to this place to have to deal with a person like that. I am sad to post this, but was a little upset when I called for an appointment today, and my simple question was "what is a better time to come in where it's not as busy?' was told by a male (John?), they are always busy and if they are not busy they will shut down. The first time I called, John answers and after explaining what I wanted, he says "I can do whatever you want." I smiled knowing that I hit jackpot. Kaitlin worked on my nails. I wanted them a specific claw like shape. She totally delivered and listened to every specific need. She communicates well. The salon is comfortable with a few stations. It's a safe place. Every time I've gone in, I'm always chatting with everyone there, and I've always had a good nail experience. John is accommodating, and loves to customize your experience. He also cracks jokes, so I never take anything he says personally. Many of the clientele here have been going here for many, many years. It's a friendly environment. What I love most is: my nails last three weeks. That's without breaking and lifting. There's a lot of pride in what they do. The quality and beauty of the nails itself is beyond any of the other chain nail shops. It's different here. I sew and use my hands A LOT! And my nails last! I am truly a devotee! Being that I have visited many nail salons around the coast, this one truly delivers. Every person knows it's hard to find a place that does your nails well, so when you do find THAT place, you tend to be a repeat customer. For some reason, John has a dual personality when I've been there. Sometimes nice, sometimes rude. Initially, for the most part, I thought he was generally nice to me. In the beginning. My first red flag was when I came in on my fourth visit. I spent about 65 dollars on this visit. When it was time to pay, I gave a generous tip because both he and his wife had provided service for me. After I completed my signature on the charge, he said to me - "Next time bring cash." I was shocked. How are you going to tell your customer how to pay, when you offer credit/debit payment options? I mean, who are you to tell others how to pay, with THEIR money? And then, to boot, not even a thank you. So I stopped going there for a bit. And silly me, I like my pink and whites so I came back. That visit was fine, (I made sure to bring cash). Three weeks later, I came back and decided to trim the nails, and remove the whites. So....first thing, I had put lotion on my hands prior to coming in, because they were dry from the cold. He immediately tossed my hands out of his and said, "Go wash your hands, you have lotion on them!", as though this were sin. So, I went and washed my hands. I came back, and I see Wendy eyeballing him sanding off the whites on my nails. And of course she speaks Vietnamese to him, and he says something back, and she just keeps eyeballing, and then he says something else, and she starts laughing. So I ask him, "Is she asking why I'm removing the white?" And he nods his head yes. I thought about asking what he said that made her laugh, but thought it would be rude of me. So I just explained why out loud, (which I shouldn't have to do, it's my money, my nails and my choice). So I let it go. In the meantime, I've got younger females flanking each side and he's into the female on my right who is young. Bare in mind his wife, (who is sweet), is doing the nails on the young female. He is openly "interested" in this young girl. He pretty much rushes through my nails, leaves little black flecks on two of them, filed one crooked and never even asked how my day or week was. In the end, I paid and gave him a tip - He never said thank you, he never said have a good weekend, and not a good bye as I exited his shop. You see, I was the "older" women in the shop that day. When I left, I felt saddened that this moron was so ignorant on how to treat good customers. And it saddened me, because they CAN do good nails, but because of his demeanor and Wendy's rudeness, it is definitely not worthy of my money. Do not think your customer's do not know when you are talking about them. And do not think that people are making their judgements on your behavior. And definitely, with today's Yelp, Google, Facebook and Instagram, do not think for one minute that people don't have something to say. Also, most importantly - you work for us. They use high-quality product so your nails don't start lifting. And I could go without a fill for about four weeks and they still look good. (*Not* that I would ever want to go elsewhere, but there have been a few emergencies where I was forced to try elsewhere and of course am always incredibly disappointed with any nail spot other than John's). John is a true master *chefs kiss* at the art of nails, his sweet wife Vu is a brilliant pedicurist, and Wendy is great with acrylics too!
