Pampered!! My daughter and I went on an early Saturday morning with an appointment for Mother's Day. They spoiled us! The Deluxe Pedicure with Paraffin was amazing, a very detailed experience. They gave us treats, a rose, and a mimosa for Mother's Day. It was the best Mother's Day gift I have had. They are so kind and accommodating, I will be coming back for sure.
I usually love coming here for mani pedis, but I came a couple days ago & didn't have the best experience I guess. The owner seemed busy and was rushing with my nails to get to other people even though I had an appointment set. My manicure was decent, but my toes are in pain! She started cutting way too much on the side of my big toes, causing me to get a terrible infection. I literally can barely walk it hurts so bad. The photos are self explanatory. Update: the infection is way worse, pain is unbearable, half my foot is swollen & I'm going to urgent care now.
This is a good nail salon in San Carlos with a very aesthetic look, fast service and good service. I had a gel pedicure and I loved the way it turned out. I did notice that it seemed like some of my previous polish was still on in the corners but it's not easily noticeable. The price is good for the area!
Had a nice experience yesterday on the fly at this salon. My daughter was looking for a new place to try Gel X. Communicated via message through Yelp and secured an appointment. When we arrived, decided to also get pedicures for myself and my other daughter which they were happy to accommodate. The techs were detailed and did a nice job with our basic pedicures. Left as 3 happy customers.
I had hopes for this place. Needing to get an overdue pedicure even with some of the reviews I had seen and giving the benefit of doubt. I've had a number of pedicures in my life and needed to go somewhere close by. I see why San Jose is known to do manicures and pedicures at with better quality and a more reasonable price. I had to ask my tech to fix my gel polish after it's been cured because it was lumpy and on top of that she didn't even clean the edges before curing the gel And if I hadn't said anything for it to be fixed she would have sent me off with it as she said she was done and I was confused to even see the final product. On top of that when I booked online the gel pedicure said it was $50. I decided to do the organic pedicure in the salon given the impression it was $55 instead. And then $5 of my old gel removal. But the fact that it was $15 ON TOP FOR GEL. That is wild to pay $75 for a mediocre pedicure job. And as it was cleaned up and fixed. It still isn't even the quality for a pedicure I've paid for that's $50. I didn't even want to have it fixed any more with given the time I've already spent in there. It's quite surprising that this quality of work is consider acceptable. That's disappointing.

I showed her a few inspiration pictures and immediately knew I was in great hands. When she finished my full set, I realized the design didn't quite feel like me. Since this was my first time doing professional photos with my nails done, I eventually asked if we could adjust the design so they felt more like me. Tracy fixed them and now I'm absolutely obsessed. I can't stop staring at them and they're perfect for my engagement photos. The shop itself is also beautiful. The pink decor is so cute and the pedicure chairs are super comfortable. Tracy is amazing and I would totally recommend her shop if you're looking for great nails and a great experience.
This is going to be my new go-to spot forsure! I loved everything about it - from the decor to the staff and the exceptional service they provide. Tracy is the owner and she is a star. My pedicure was one of the best I've ever had, I'm not even exaggerating. They really take the time on your feet and the best part is that I didn't feel like they were going to hurt me at all! I haven't experienced that before at any other nail salon in the area. I can't wait to go back! Also their selection of colors is unreal!
Tracy and her team are amazing. This is the best set of nails I've had in months. She listened to my (many) requests and made my gel pedicure and gel acrylic manicure look EXACTLY how I wanted. Acrylic is nice and slim. Perfect, natural shape. Exact color and design. I love it. They have SO many types of polishes and designs. I went with a chrome layer on white gel, and an orange accent to add a bit of summer vibes, while keeping it professional for work. The salon has plenty of parking in front and to the side. Cute decor, very feminine and sparkly. Massage chairs are always a nice touch. Pricing is competitive. I think I need to start coming here from now on.
I love my nails. First time at this shop, inspired by Yelp reviews. Tracy did a full gel x set with single color and I was done in 30 minutes. I love having pretty nails but don't love spending an hour or more in the nail shop. This was an awesome first experience! Looking forward to my next appointment.

I was getting an oil change and needed a fill pretty badly so I walked over to Pretty Nails and was lucky enough to get service right away. I told the owner, Tracy that I was on a time crunch and she told me she could finish in 30 minutes and she was actually able to get me out the door in 30 minutes! I told her I wanted just simple hearts on two nails because I had limited time and she told me she could do the whole hand design and still get me out on time and she delivered. A newer nail salon in Redwood City quoted me $50 EXTRA for the design so I literally got up and left because that's ridiculous and I won't be taken advantage of. At other salons, my nails can take up to 90 minutes because they're helping other people and doing god knows what but she had me in and out with beautiful nails in 30 min so I definitely found my new nail spot. I happily drive to San Carlos just to see Tracy--she does a fantastic job every single time. My nails always look amazing. She takes the time to look over inspiration photos with me and offers her professional insight, and when I let her be creative and free-play with the designs, the results are always stunning. Tracy truly has an eye for detail. Her salon is adorable, painted pink inside and out, and she always has fresh-cut flowers from Trader Joe's along with beautiful plants that make the space feel so welcoming. Her staff is equally wonderful--attentive, friendly, and kind--and they even offer refreshments. I genuinely love coming here; they make you feel comfortable and cared for from start to finish. read more

Two separate visits, same awesome experience! Went by myself 2 weeks ago to check the place out after a friend suggested I bring my daughter and friends here to celebrate her birthday. My solo visit was so excellent: the nail techs actually took the time to clean up every nail to the highest quality for my regular mani/pedi, and now 2 weeks later it's still going strong! Love the decor here and the vibe is so chill and awesome! Then I did actually book to bring my daughter and 3 friends (11 years old) for a birthday celebration: they took incredible care of the girls, feeding them snacks, candy, and finishing up our visit with a birthday song and huge cake! We booked this spa to host my 13yr old's private birthday party. Tracy and her staff are amazing! Not only did they do a beautiful job with the nails, but they treated us with such warmth and incomparable hospitality. They decorated the spa with balloons and provided snacks, drinks, and even a birthday cake. We were blown away. My daughter and I agreed that from now on, this is our spa! read more

Made a same day appointment online for a gel manicure and Mia did a great job! I'm usually very picky about my nails but I have no complaints :) Parking was on El Camino but I saw a sign there is also parking in the back. I paid using Venmo (they also take Zelle), super easy! read more

We wanted to try a new place, big mistake! Two of my toes were cut way too short, the nail person cut and pulled at my skin on two of my toes they bled a lot. I got a gel pedi she left the corners and edges of my toes with huge clumps of polish. It was a nice color but she ruined it by doing a sloppy job. She said she is the new owner! She was rude and felt like she hurt cutting my toes and fingernails on purpose or she has a very heavy hand. I did not leave a tip for her she certainly didn't deserve one. We will never go back there again. No star for this place, darn it won't let me leave no Star!! Could improve to find another place to go. read more

I came in for a gel mani and pedi. This nail spa is super chill and gives pretty in pink vibes inside. The nail techs are all very nice and accommodating. They have a wide selection of polishes from chrome to cat eye and everything in between. Everything is very clean and I love how peaceful and inviting the environment is. I will definitely be back! 10/10. read more

Very disappointing. Stay away from this place unless you enjoy being ripped off. Wanted to give this place another chance to support this business owner but once again. It's a let down. Booked an appointment online. (Prices online are different and she will not honor them). Her prices continue to go up within a short period of time and the service isn't reflecting the price. When she first took over which was a few months ago the prices were $20-$40 less for the services I would get. Today my total was $65 for a regular pedicure + tip with less than a minute of a massage on your feet. The owner will almost harass you to leave a tip. My first thought when she went up on the price that was the tip being included in the prices but no the prices keep getting higher and the techs dont get any portion of it. I tried confirming this with another tech today as the previous tech that informed me of this no longer works here. This tech seemed afraid and didn't want to explain it to me because the owner was present. I simply want to ensure if I'm paying these ridiculous price that there getting a portion of it. Nothing is posted in the shop about there prices, giving her total control to scam people. There not really focused on customer service, it's more getting you in and out the door and if you like it great and if you don't it doesn't matter to them. They do care about their own nails as today one of the workers sat in the chair to get her nails done and a customer walked in and she was bothered she had to get up to help her. Very disappointing. Stay away from this place unless you enjoy being ripped off. read more

I have finally found my go to spot that has a cute and welcoming atmosphere and can actually do the design I ask for! Tracy is the best and is only happy with her best work. She helped me grow my natural nails and not have to rely on extensions to have beautiful long nails. I never have any problems and all my gems stay on the entire 4-5 weeks before my next appointment! read more

Naturally, I bite my nails and if I go too long, I will have no nails, and my cuticles are all ripped up. I went to them in a pretty bad state of my hands and they really did well. They listen really well except they do make my nails a little bit longer than I'd like them too, but overall they do their best and their long lasting and solid I definitely recommend this place for any girl who needs a Phil, needs brand, new nails or anything else. read more
