Diane's salon is super cute and she was the best. I loved my gel pedicure and how much time and attention to detail she put into it. She was also very kind and friendly. I have been looking for a good nail salon in the peninsula and I will definitely be back. Thank you so much Diane! read more

While I have never been to Bellamy Nails, my husband actually goes and gets manicures and pedicures from Diane. He has nothing but great things to say about her. She is kind, friendly and best of all she takes great pride in her work. My husband goes and get a manicure and pedicure at least once per month, and he continues to encourage me to switch over from my current place over to Diane. I must say, because of all the great things he says, I have been tempted! What he likes is that Diane doesn't overbook, her place is quiet, and he can get what he needs in record timing. Thank you, Diane, for making my husband enjoy his self-care routine. read more

Thank you, Diane, for a beautiful mani-pedi! This was my first time here, and she took the time to make sure my polish was absolutely perfect for an upcoming photo shoot. Diane is the ONLY person I will trust with my nails from now on. I bite my nails so short that getting a full set usually leaves me with tips that at literally pointing up at 45 degrees (if you know you know). I called Bellamy Nails in the hope that he would be able to get a gorgeous full set to give my nails a break from my biting habit. And BYE Diane is incredible. She told me she had a trick for short nails to have the full set look natural and she was not kidding. She did her big one, and I am a loyal customer now. Diane is amazing! She took her time and did an amazing job with my dip manicure! My nails look very natural which is exactly what I wanted. Other places rush and end up using the dremel to file away too much of the nail bed. Diane was careful and there was no burning of the drill or the I've curing process. I just had my nails done by Diane and I'm honestly so in love with them. Her French tip technique is absolutely beautiful--super clean, subtle, and elegant. I wish I had never chosen to get my nails done here. I phoned in for an acrylic full set, and Diane referred me to her teammate, assuring me that her work was equally good. I trusted her based on all the positive reviews--how wrong I was. This was the worst set of nails I've ever had. They were extremely thick and uneven. After an hour of work, I showed them to Diane. She asked me to return in the afternoon so she could fix them. When I came back, she said she could only reapply the powder because she was too busy to redo everything, which didn't help much. I showed her the reference photo I had originally given her teammate, and she admitted she couldn't replicate it. I ended up spending over three hours at the salon and was completely fed up. Maybe they're fine for regular nail services, but they are clearly incapable of handling acrylic work. To top it off, while I was there, I overheard Diane persuading a woman to get acrylics because her nails were thin from repeated gel applications. Well, lady, we all know that acrylics will only make your nails suffer more. The only real solution is to remove everything and let your nails rest. I can't believe a nail tech would say something so irresponsible! read more

I had the best experience at Bellamy with Diane! I was worried coming at the end of the day to a new salon but Diane took her time, listened to what I wanted, and gave me exactly what I wanted but even more beautiful. She is meticulous and clearly so invested in her craft. I wanted natural so we did clear pink with length added and chrome on top for a little fun :). This picture is over a week out and still so beautiful. Diane is also so personable and her salon is clean, cute, and quiet. She took her time to make sure everything looked perfect and always made sure to ask me if I was satisfied with the shape, the length, the design, the color etc without pressuring me. She is super super patient and friendly. I was extremely thankful when she said she could accommodate a next day appointment both my friend and I for gel extensions past their closing time! She is amazing at shaping my nails exactly how I want them and pays close attention to ensure the end result is flawless. This may be my new nail home. Have tried a few shops over the past year (my favorite closed). They were either cramped, messy, rude, painful, overbooked, you name it I experienced it. All that is over. This little shop is run by the sweetest woman, Diane. She gave great service. Her shop is clean, attractive, comfortable and she plays great music to relax to. She even helped with my color choice which I appreciated (getting plenty of compliments). Easy access on the south end of Laurel with street parking easily available on weekdays. I had powder dip nails. They look great. Next I will test the pedicure with a second appt. Hoping this is a keeper. read more

So surprised after reading reviews. My first time for a regular manicure after about 6 or 7 years was pretty good. I can't do my nails anymore so am looking for help. Diane was fine. We talked about shape. I picked a super neutral color since I'm not used to polish anymore. It was fine. Went again and got a much stronger color And was pleased. The second coat of color doesn't quite cover the first. But it's ok Next time I mentioned the second coat being not quite up to snuff. Diane got defensive and told me it was growing out. Well. Yes. But the second coat was like that from day one Next visit was worse. I tried to accommodate her asking to change the schedule to cover a cancellation. I had to move some things and called back. She has given away the time after I moved around my schedule. Um. What?! So I wasn't happy when I did get in. Same second coat issues happening. Last visit and I'm going somewhere else. She asked me to come in at a time which I agreed to and then she moved it up :15 which I said ok to. I got there a few minutes early and ended up waiting until the original time. She was working on that headache inducing fake nail stuff that smells SO awful some manicurists won't do it (thank you!) and so I stepped outside before the headache could get too bad and tried to breathe fresh air until she was ready. One of my nails had split back. Along the surface. Diane kept arguing with me that the polish was old and it would do that. She would not listen and understand that the NAIL had split -or flaked - so I wanted them to all be cut down to the shortest healthy part of the split nail. She got very flip and I nearly left but thought I'd keep trying. She slapped some polish on gunking up my cuticles and making me feel lousy. So. Yeah. That's enough of this. Cash based business at her whim for timing. I guess if you get along with her all is dreamy. If she cops an attitude and makes you feel worse and more stressed when you leave... time to find another salon. Oh. And I would like one that doesn't only sometimes MAYBE give a perfunctory hand massage. read more

I had a pedicure yesterday with Dianne, while she was a nice lady my right big toe now has an infection now (Paronychia). I suspect this place does not unfortunately santize their tools in between customers and Dianne was a little aggressive with cutting my side cuticles. I let her know i was in pain but it didn't stop her. I wouldn't recommmend this establishment as now i have pain and an infection due to their cleanliness and practices. read more

My regular nail lady was all booked up so I was looking around for someone to do a quick fill as I had three broken nails. This was the best decision I've ever made! Diane's attention to detail was amazing and my nails look perfect. I'm definitely coming here from now on, thank you so much Diane! read more

The service is always amazing, but what makes this place so special is the way they genuinely care about their clients. After all these years, it feels like so much more than just a nail salon. Any time we come in for a special occasion, Tina somehow makes it even more memorable. Most recently, we came in to get our nails done for my baby shower, and even though there were only a few of us, Tina and her team put out the most incredible spread of food and treated us like absolute royalty. They never have to do these extra things, but they always do--and that's exactly who they are. Fifteen years of consistently making me feel welcomed, cared for, and appreciated deserves far more than five stars. I'm so grateful for Tina and her entire team and couldn't recommend them more!

Long time customer - first review…read more Hands down, the best nail salon in downtown Redwood City. I've been a regular for over 5 years. Great and very friendly staff, first class service and very reasonable prices. It's my go to place for pedicure every other month. Have even got a haircut a while ago but could not cheat on my other barber for too long :P great area and plenty of parking options (2 parking garages right next to the salon). Recently renovated with brand new chairs and brand new manicure stations. The owner goes above and beyond to make sure that the customers are receiving a great experience. Will still be a regular for years to come.

They happened to have an opening, and Chloe was more than happy to fit me in for a gel manicure. She was incredibly kind, friendly, and efficient. I'm not from the area, but if I'm ever back in town, I'll definitely be returning. I highly recommend asking for Chloe!

My Acrylic Nails did last a long time. However, the nails…read morewere hideous and misshapen from Tammy overfilling at an angle. You could see my natural nails showing on either side of the Acrylic layer. I asked for more acrylic powder to be added to 4 of the nails so they would be even with the others, she said, " no, I don't have time, it's only a 1 hour appointment." An hour is unheard of for Acrylics, it absolutely takes longer than that if you want quality work. I was not a walk in and she set the time. I chose a simple classic French manicure to be painted on top of my acrylic nail hoping it would hide the glaring mistakes Tammy made. However, the lines were crooked, incomplete and overall there was not helping her awful skill. I did share this feedback with Tammy but unfortunately she was very dismissive and simply said to me,"too bad." I paid $80 cash and left. I would not recommend getting Acrylic nails here or any type of French polish look. I get my nails done regularly so if someone says Tammy did a great job with acrylics, they are likely inexperienced with Acrylics. Unfortunately, Tammy is just comfortable with her skill set and base of repeat customers, she isn't friendly or open to New clientele who want anything different than a standard nail polish change.

According to the owner she was so busy she forgot to hit it down. But I should have trusted my instinct and come back another day but I didn't and said okay to the lady she offered instead of the one I wanted. Long story short I developed an infection because she didn't cut my ingrown properly and well now the orthopedic had to perform a matrixectomy and for now won't be getting a pedicure for a long time.

My big toe was the worst; she cut it so deeply she had to use that green medicine to stop the blood. But the horror show wasn't over. As if the pain weren't enough, she finished by spraying my raw, open wounds with alcohol. The stinging was so intense I yelped and told her to turn on the water so I could rinse it off. Then, she leaned over and started blowing on my toes, and I just couldn't believe it. I thought it was some kind of sick joke. I was in agony for three days and couldn't wear closed-toe shoes. The worst part? I was in so much shock and pain that I still gave her a tip. Obviously, I would not recommend this place.
