The PORK EGG FU YOUNG was the best e.f.y. either my husband or i had ever tasted. the ALMOND CHICKEN VEGETABLE was a perfect: chicken done just right, vegetables tasty. Huge portions. Did not eat the food, it looked unappetizing. We talked to the waitress and explained that one of the dishes was not what we wanted. She didn't seem to eager to help, I asked her to get her manager.. Told the manager the problem, they spoke Chinese at our table in front of me, I asked them to speak English! That was rude, what followed was just terrible customer service with no people skills. Took my son here before dive class and was pleasantly impressed. The location is in a little strip mall and easy to get in and out of. The service was quick and when looking at the menu was pretty simple. We ordered the combos 1 and 5 and the food came out quick and hot. Had to find a new Chinese place after Louie's closed. This is good and fortunately much closer. The egg flower soup is delicious! I always get Johns Incredible Soup-er Bowl. It has chicken, steak, shrimp and noodles...all of my faves. I wish it was more soupy, ie more broth but it is really tasty none the less. My husband gets the Kung Pao and my kids get the subgum. They all come with sides of pork fried rice, bbq pork, shrimp. We always have left overs - the portions are plenty. I was a little apprehensive about eating at a Chinese restaurant called "John's". I had read the reviews on yelp and was still a little hesitant. It was a combination of laziness and hunger that finally prompted me to go here and I was pleasantly surprised. Customer service was excellent and the food was decently priced. After we ordered the food came fairly quickly and was very good. Just to make sure that I wasn't liking the food out of pure hunger I've eaten there another 2 times in the last week (because my boyfriend was craving the shrimp fried rice then the day after that my brother-in-law was craving the lo mein) and I'm totally sold. This is an all system's go for me. It's right up the street, the prices are decent, there is convenient parking and the servers are extremely nice. The sweet and sour pork was too sweet for me, but still had a good tang to it. The food was hot, fresh, and pretty darn good for takeout. I asked around and this was highly recommended to me. I was disappointed in the food. It lacked meat and taste, I had very little meat in either the Mongolian Beef or the Chicken dish we ordered, it was mostly onions and celery. Do not order here TO GO. With that said the dine in portions are great and well worth it! I have done two take out orders from here now and both times I got tiny little boxes of food for the exact same price. My side of rice container had more food in it than the entree both times. 14.95$ for a shrimp entree, the box had 7 shrimp in it and was half full. We ordered via the menu on UrbanSpoon.. which is out of date some.. but worked. We drove down to pick up our order and they have a convenient pickup window. The food smelled good and was brought to the car in a big brown bag. We got the family meal for 2 and it could have fed 4! Cost about 25 bucks. Not bad. The quality is what really shines... the food tasted fresh and the sweet and sour pork and shrimp were perfectly done. Seriously... some of the best Chinese food I have ever had! It was delicious! The food here is very good! I always get the teriyaki chicken and it's always delicious. The soup served at lunch is also great. The crab puffs are soooo good. I always make sure to get those. Customer service was awesome, and the prices are reasonable but the food was super cold. I had the dinner #4 for 10.50 last week and I was just very disappointed that everything was so cold. I took it to go, had to wait so I know it was "fresh" when I received it. Walked two blocks in warm weather and everything was just barely tolerable. The fried shrimp was good but....its deep fried so its hard to mess up on. Tiny portions but still, I don't think i'll be back. Made to order food should be piping hot, or at least warm. It disappoints me I was left no choice but to leave a review that isn't going to shed light on any positive aspect of your business, that being there is some. I find myself here twice a week or so to play a little video poker and see if I happen to have any luck at pressing a button just right. Today I cashed out at 950$, it's not a crazy win by any means but it definitely lifted my spirits. Anytime i win an amount over 100$ I do the courteous thing and tip whatever lady ends up cashing me out any particular time. I never walk off and tip nothing I believe being generous is how you keep good luck in one's foreseeable future. Now for the 2nd time this lady got the nerve to try and miscount or idk she stutters and try to be slick and short me a 20 dollar bill like I'm not sitting there watching her every move and Bill accounted for. I gave her the look "are you serious bih" and she apologized and gave me the correct amount and I walked out mad and shocked she got the nerve to try and pull some dumb shit like that all in hopes to trickle away a 20 dollar bill from my winnings. This was 2 months ago, today she got to the finally bill at 960$ and I had 40$ in my hand and said here's your tip, she literally takes the last bill that completed my payout and slapped the 40 I intended to tip her with like she was Bruce Lee and I couldn't see this all take place. Talk about awkward and confusing, i tip these ladies 60 40 80 dollars eveytime I walk away with a win. And if this happened to me I know I'm not the only person. I'm 27 so I can guarantee she's running game something outta pocket on the senior citizens with cataracts and zero hearing left on both ears. Not a good reputation to want to get going and lose the few customers you guys do have. Seriously? I got Mandarin tofu and the tofu was deep fried... yuck. How does this place label itself as "healthy" when it deep fries tofu? I dont have high hopes for Americanized Chinese when it comes to healthiness, but dang deep fried tofu is so unnecessary. read more

This was by far some of the worst Chinese food I have ever had. Nothing tasted good and everything looked the same. I had there sesame chicken, chow mein, and fried shrimp for lunch. I couldn't tell which one was the shrimp and which one was the chicken, they looked the exact same. The chow mein was basically bean sprouts and veggies. The sesame chicken was just breaded with sweet ketchup like sauce on the side. When I eat sesame chicken, I expect it to have real sesame sauce. I went with a few friends to this place because of them raving about it, but again, everything looked the exact same, but with different color sauces. I hate to slam a place so badly, but it takes effort to serve this bad of food. read more
