One of tbe worst burgers I have eaten recently. None of the ingredients looked fresh. I got a double patty which was very dry ( and looked premade). I still feel it in my stomach. This little burger joint has been around for years and is exactly what you need for a quick stop to eat. The burgers are fresh made to order, the fries are hot and crispy, the service is fast. Just off the freeway and next to a gas station you'll find a little delight waiting to be discovered. There is a seating area outside with about seven tables, and a little covered area. Food is cooked to order, but not a long wait even when there were a few orders ahead of me. I ordered the Bacon Burger, which did have a few strips of bacon cooked crispy. The patty is a bit thin, so if you want it big and juicy I'd recommend to get the double. The lettuce was limited, but the onion and tomato were sliced thick. There is a special Johnny's Sauce on top which does have a little kick to it. Not too spicy, but if you aren't expecting it takes you by surprise. I also ordered the onion rings, which are breaded and were done extra crispy. There was no sauce that came with it, but you can get packets of condiments or order an extra Johnny's sauce. Don't leave without trying the milkshakes! I had the chocolate peanut butter made from hand scooped ice cream and spoonfuls of creamy peanut butter. Awesome spot right off I5! Great burgers and fries. Customer service was great too. The cashier who helped us said it was her second day. We were patient with her as she tackled the busy-ness of the evening. The burger itself was cooked well. I love how the cheese was melted nicely on the patty. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. My family and I used to stop here on occasion as we traveled south from Bellingham to Seattle. Not much else right there unless you're in Stanwood. The burgers are decent and support a local business rather than everyday fast food chains. HOWEVER, the last time, (all the way back in Jan 2022!!) We ordered a pile of food online only to arrive, with three starving kids, to find Johnny's closed. Super frustrating, and a headache dealing with hungry children on a car ride.....but I'm a small business owner....things happen. I'll call them in the next few days and get a refund. And that is how i thought it would go. And that is how the owner said it would go when I talked with her on the phone. Not once. Not twice. BUT SIX TIMES! It seemed to be the same place where the cute girl is taking the order and the guys in the back are chatting up a storm while the work. I tried a double this time. Everything was the same as last time. When I got the burger, it was assembled correctly. The cheese was melted this time. (NIce!) One bite confirmed what the hype was about. The burger was juicy and had a lot of flavor. The lettuce was fresh and the burger looked much better this time around. Located just off the freeway connected to the Shell gas station makes this a very convenient location. The parking lot is descent size and they have indoor or outdoor seating. Everything, including the restroom, was clean and well organized. I got the bacon burger no tomatoe, everything tasted fresh and had good flavor. Bacon was n8ce ans crispy good quality bacon. My daughter got a regular burger with guacamole and said everything tasted good and like the guacamole was made fresh. It was a good burger in a convenient location just kind of pricey.
